The study examined the household's decision-making role in small scale goat production in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria. Data for the study were collected from 74 households through the use of interview schedule. Frequency distributions and percentages were used in the data analysis. The findings showed that production of manure for replenishing the lost soil fertility under continuous land use was the most valuable reason for rearing goats in the area. The husbands played a larger decision-making role than their wives for certain aspects (such as goat raising initiation; health care; herd-size; planning for organizing for breedings; and grass cutting) of goat production. Implications of the findings for extension practice were presented.

Background: COVID-19 is a disease that started in Wuhan/China in late 2019 and continued through 2020 worldwide.Scientists worldwide continue to research to find vaccines, treatments, and medication for this disease. Studies also conenue to find the pathogenicity and epidemiology mechanisms.Materials and Methods:In this work, we analyzed cases obtained from Alshifaa center in Baghdad/Iraq for 23/2/2020-31/5/2020 with total instances of 797, positive cases of 393, and death cases of 30.Results: Results showed that the highest infection cases were among people aged between 41-45. Also, it was found that males' number of cases was more than females. In contrast, death cases were significantly higher in males than females. It was notable that the number of cases increased over time; here, it grew from April to May from 92 to 238, respectively. Conclusion: It is worth mentioning that by the beginning of Jun, the number of cases has dramatically increased, and now more than 2K points are recorded daily. Also, death cases had the same behavior.

Objective. The authors performed a clinical and statistical study on cases of esophageal foreign bodies, with particular reference to ingested coins, admitted and treated in the ENT Department of the “Grigore Alexandrescu” Emergency Hospital for Children, between 01.01.2006 – 01.08.2007. Method and materials. A retrospective study, involving the interpretation and corroboration of the clinical and paraclinical findings of each case study. Results. Of all cases of foreign bodies, coins held the highest percentage; the average length of stay in hospital was 2 days; there were no cases of major complications (esophageal perforation, bleeding by intercepting a large vessel, mediastinitis); were also recorded particular cases that required special attention. Conclusion. All cases were approached and resolved by rigid endoscopy; shortening the time elapsed before presenting to ENT specialist facilitates the therapeutic approach, dramatically lowering the risk of complications; X-ray examination, although essential, can sometimes provide incomplete information, the diagnosis certainty being ensured only by endoscopy.
