Despite the promising use of debit cards for e‐payment and online transactions, to the best of our knowledge, there has not been any study regarding students’ intentions to use debit card services in Nigeria. This research aims to examine factors that influence university students’ decision to use debit card services in Nigeria. A Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) integrated with the trust of bank and online transaction factors are used in the study. Data were purposively selected from 400 students in the Faculty of Business Administration in Nigeria University using a survey questionnaire. The multiple linear regression results reveal that social influence, the trust of online transaction and performance expectancy exert significant influences on students’ behavioural intention to use a debit card. However, the insignificant results obtained for effort expectation and facilitating condition warrant for further investigation. We have confidence that the findings of this study will guide debit card services providers and professionals in the field in improving and promoting debit card services by revealing the students’ priorities regarding debit card services in Africa, particularly in Nigeria.

Online gambling has skyrocketed in recent years. As such, knowing the determinants of consumer usage behavior is crucial in understanding online gambling services. This study has as main objective the construction of an explanatory model of the online gambling services usage behavior, based on the incorporation of perceived risk in the conceptual framework of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2). The empirical validation of the model was performed by conducting an online survey to a convenience sample of 212 Portuguese online players. Data were processed using the PLS-SEM methodology. The results evidence that performance expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivations, price value, habits, as well as perceived risk influence the intention to use online gambling services.

The objective of this paper is to identify the moderator role of age in the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology: Intention to Use internet banking in Sudan. To achieve this objective the researchers adopted the questionnaire to data collection. A total of 375 questionnaires are distributed 207 respondents are well-responded. Used SPSS, Excel, SmartPLS to analysis the data collected. The results indicate that the age (34yrs and less) does prove as a moderator in effort expectancy, social influence, and intention to use Internet banking. Also, the age generally does not prove as a moderator in internet banking awareness and intention to use internet banking. The study recommended to study the effect of income and education level on acceptance of e-banking services.

This study aims to identify and analyze the technological determinants of persistence in college distance education courses (N=61), derived from the Unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) model. The results of the structural equation analyses (Partial Least Square) revealed that among these determinants, only facilitating conditions have a significant and positive impact on the behavioural intention to use distance learning technologies (R2 = 54%) defined as the student’s intention to display this behaviour. Moreover, behavioral intention to use distance learning technologies has a significant and positive effect on persistence, defined as the intention to finish the distance education course in which the student is enrolled (R2 = 14.2 %) and the intention to enroll in other distance education courses in the future (R2 = 65%). The ANOVA analyses revealed significant differences between the groups of students assigned to different courses delivery modes on all the technological factors, suggesting that differentiated analyses, depending on the course delivery mode, should be performed in the future.

The purpose of this research is to analyze factors that influence behaviour intention to use technology information system and use behaviour technology information system using UTAUT (unified theory of acceptance and use of technology). That factors are performance expectancy, effort expectancy, perceived of credibility, social influence, and facilitating condition and moderated by age, gender and experience. Sample of this research is investment using services community (M-Dinar) through internet. One hundred and twenty four respondents using M-Dinar had participated in this research. The collecting data used a questionnaire survey that posted at facebook and sent it via electronic-mail. Data were analyzed using a Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The result showed only social influence that effecting behaviour intention to use M-Dinar technology significant. The other factors aren’t have significant influence to behavoiur intention to use M-Dinar technology.

The development of science and technology has an impact on all aspects of life, especially in the payment system in Indonesia. This makes the banking industry improved the innovations in payment system, namely the electronic payment system or e-money. The purpose of this study is to analyze what factors influence millennial intention to use e-money using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology approach. The researcher used the Structural Equation Modeling approach using STATA software. Respondents in this study were 422 millennials. Data used in this study were primary data using a questionnaire, with googleform as a tool to collect data. Descriptive data of this study showed that 54% of the total 422 respondents did not use e-money, but 98% had intention to use e-money in the future. On the other hands the results of this study found that millennial intention to use e-money was significantly positively influenced by performance expectations, followed by business expectations, social influence, self-efficacy and security. Facility conditions are the only variable that does not significantly influence millennial intention to use e-money.
