Young people have found in the social networks the perfect space to inform and be informed. However, only a few have the ability to influence in purchasing decisions, lifestyle or preferences of the rest. The so-called social influencers have become an active part of brand communication, especially those dedicated to fashion. This research puts the focus on the strategies, resources and calls to participation used for the main Spanish fashion prescribers in their communication through Instagram. The gradual incorporation of men into this sector requires identifying the attitudes and forms of the connection -generating participation- or not taking into account the genre of the author and the type of values he projects. Through content analysis, the communicative activity of the 13 most outstanding characteristics is monitored in 2017. The results show a very similar use of recovery techniques, mainly promotional; dubious compliance with Spanish regulations on advertising - which obliges authors to explicitly state any message that promotes a product or service of a contractual relationship; and the use of the image to build idyllic lives from everyday scenes.

Abstract Combining narrative analysis with social network analysis, this article analyses the case of a young Swedish female who had been physically and sexually abused. We show how she became trapped in an abusive relationship at the age of fourteen years following social work intervention in her family home, and how she ultimately escaped from this abuse aged nineteen years. The analysis illustrates the significance of responses to interpersonal violence from the social networks that surround young people; responses that can both entrap them in abusive relationships by blaming them for their problems and enable them to escape abuse by recognising their strengths and facilitating their choices. The article argues that the case for social work approaches that envision young people’s social networks after protective interventions have been implemented. The article explains that such an approach has the potential to reconcile the competing challenges of being responsive to young people’s needs while anticipating the heightened risk of being exposed to sexual abuse young people face when estranged from their families or after their trust in professionals has been eroded.

In today's world, a shift from conventional to digitalized marketing is increasing in the investment made in the commercial sector. This particular study analyses the growing influence of a new online advertising strategy called “FRIENDVERTISING” pertaining to social media marketing. Thereby, this chapter conducts a content analysis to investigate how social networks are interacting with each other and how consumers are oriented to certain brands advertised in a specific way. According to the results, the brands that motivate the youth to share their own advertisements in the social media more frequently receive more positive comments about their advertisements. One should decide on the following crucial criteria while applying friendvertising practices: cultural background of audience, frequency of social media use, referring to other friends in social media (being knowledgeable and reliable about the brand), expectations of users and their previous experiences about the brand, creativity of advertisements, originality and entertaining content of advertisements, genre, as well as difficulties and opportunities of the field.

Social networks are virtual communication sites that allow its participants to connect, building relationships, and collaborate on social issues. It became part of our lives and spread rapidly among youth. Young people join these sites to keep strong relationships with friends and to make new ones. Therefore, it is important to investigate the factors that influence the intention to use social networking sites (SNSs) to gain better position in the social reform among young people. This study developed an integrated theoretical model which has five major factors that predict the intention to use SNSs. An empirical test was conducted, where a sample of 302 university students and an instrument containing 27 items was used. The results provide consistent evidence that all hypothesized positive associations exist except for the isolation variable. After taking into account different demographic and attitudinal variables, Facebook use still predicted respondents' social reform. The future work might focus on a specific context such as the effects of using social networks on education, and focus on students' environment in education and the influence of social network. Detailed results, conclusions and future work are stated in later sections.

The article presents the results of a sociological study conducted in October-December 2018 in Ekaterinburg. The subject of the study is the factors influencing the social and cultural adaptation of migrants from Central Asia in the Ural megalopolis. The sociological study was conducted using quantitative and qualitative strategies – the method of questionnaire survey (n = 400) and the method of in-depth interview (n = 10). The study revealed a new trend in the migrant environment of the Ural metropolis – the formation of ethnic establishment within the migrant community of the same nationality, which has a relatively high level of income, with a high probability of planning to stay in Russia and obtain citizenship. The author concludes about a new phenomenon in migrant communities – the interaction of migrants with their compatriots left in the country of origin through a social network. Social networks (Vkontakte, Facebook, etc.) are now beginning to replace Diaspora in solving the problems that arise in migrants community in their host culture, especially at the initial stage of their social and cultural adaptation, which indicates the weakening of Diaspora relations of migrants. Every third respondent pointed to this factor. At the same time, the interaction of migrants with their compatriots through the social network, solving problems through social networks, conversation and communication in the network in their native language hinder the social and cultural adaptation of the migrant in the host culture. The study finds out that for young people who came to the Urals from Central Asia it is more difficult to adapt to Russian culture. This is stipulated by the fact that the older generation migrants were socialized in the Soviet Union, learning Russian language, Russian culture, etc. Besides, the older generation does not see a significant difference between the two cultures. In this regard, it is easier for them to undergo social and cultural adaptation in Russia compared to young people. At the same time, the majority of migrants are young and middle-aged people. The study reveals the leading external (education; cultural environment of the host community; age of the migrant; presence / absence of citizenship, etc.) and internal (interest in Russian culture, motivation to move to Russia) factors that ambiguously affect the social and cultural adaptation of migrants from Central Asia in the Ural metropolis.
