One of the phenomenon in marine science that is often encountered is the phenomenon of water waves. Waves that occur below the surface of seawater are called internal waves. One of the mathematical models that can represent solitary internal waves is the modified Korteweg-de Vries (mKdV) equation. Many methods can be used to construct the solution of the mKdV wave equation, one of which is the extended F-expansion method. The purpose of this study is to determine the solution of the mKdV wave equation using the extended F-expansion method. The result of solving the mKdV wave equation is the exact solutions. The exact solutions of the mKdV wave equation are expressed in the Jacobi elliptic functions, trigonometric functions, and hyperbolic functions. From this research, it is expected to be able to add insight and knowledge about the implementation of the innovative methods for solving wave equations.

Le symbolisme de trois, plus tard de quatre couleurs chez divers peuples indo-européens, en liaison avec les trois fonctions et, éventuellement, avec des classes ou types d'hommes assurant ces jonctions, a été déjà bien étudié (J. de Vries « Bood, wit, zwart, Volkskunde (hollandaise), II, 1942, p. 1-10 ; cj. RHR, cxxxI, 1946, pp. 67-60 ; G. Widengren, « Harlekintracht und Mönchskutte, Clownhut und Derwischmütze », Orientalia Suecana, II, 1953, pp. 52-57, 65, 85-87, 92-93, 100, 103 ; G. Dumézil, mAlbati, russati, virides », et « Vexillum caeruleum », Rituels indoeuropéens à Rome, 1954, pp. 45-61 et 63-72). Mais qu'étaient ces couleurs ? Quelle conception les plus anciennes sociétés, les plus anciens spécialistes et usagers de la teinture se faisaient-ils de leurs rapports ? Par une étude originale des techniques, des vocabulaires, de certaines traditions, M. Gerschel montre que, primitivement, et parfois fort avant dans l'histoire, « le coloré » n'était que le rouge, et que le jaune, le noir, par opposition au blanc, était « le non-nettoyé ». Et pourtant il faut les oublier pour comprendre l'état ancien de la technique ; pour de nombreux peuples indo-européens de l'antiquité et même encore du Moyen Age, teindre un drap, un vêtement, une laine, se réduisait essentiellement à obtenir ce seul résultat : substituer à la couleur existante une couleur rouge.

The Rosenau-Korteweg-de Vries equation describes the wave-wave and wave-wall interactions. In this paper, we prove that, as the diffusion parameter is near zero, it coincides with the Korteweg-de Vries equation. The proof relies on deriving suitable a priori estimates together with an application of the Aubin-Lions Lemma.

This article introduces a volume devoted to the examination of later-life bereavement: an analysis of variation in cause, course, and consequence. Six articles address and represent this variation and comprise this volume: 1) Prigerson et al. present case histories of the traumatic grief of spouses; 2) Hays et al. highlight the bereavement experiences of siblings in contrast to those spouses and friends; 3) Moss et al. address the role of gender in middle-aged children's responses to parent death; 4) Bower focuses on the language adopted by these adult children in accepting the death of a parent; 5) de Vries et al. explore the long-term, longitudinal effects on the psychological and somatic functioning of parents following the death of an adult child; and 6) Fry presents the short-term and longitudinal reactions of grandparents to the death of a grandchild. A concluding article is offered by de Vries stressing both the unique and common features of these varied bereavement experiences touching on some of the empirical issues and suggesting potential implications and applications.
