Network Coding is used to increase network throughput. In the network coding, network data packets will be encoded by the sender and the encoded data packets can be used by different receivers to recovery the same original data packets. This increases the network transmission efficiency. Coding on data will consume the computing resources and this becomes the bottleneck of network codings practicability. In this paper, we assume that the coding happens at the end of the network and we conduct some tests on the pc and hand-devices. Our results show that network coding can work well on current PC, and we need a native device support to make the network coding working on the hand-devices.

In this paper, both the pre-multicast method and the adaptive routing protocol are proposed. The random network coding with these protocols are not only more stable and reliable, but also improves the utilization of network resources. According to the function of the nodes in the network, this paper establishes the source node model, the intermediate node model and the sink node model based on the OMNeT++ simulation platform. In particular, in this paper, both pre-multicast and adaptive routing modules are combined in the node model. By the simulation, using or not using both pre-multicast module and adaptive routing module in the network transmission module, the network transmission reliability is analyzed. The network performance, such as delay and effective throughput, is evaluated to verify the expected results. Because the designed node models are independent of each other, they can be applied to most real network topologies. Researchers can also modify a module of a model or improve an algorithm to achieve more complex functions according to their own needs.

Network coding is a data transmission technique which allows intermediate nodes in a network to re-code data in transit. In contrast to traditional network communication where a node repeats incoming data to its outgoing channel without modifying the payload, a node implementing network coding not only repeats but also alters data. Network coding has been demonstrated to increase network throughput compared to the traditional forwarding transmission. It has potentially broad applications in many areas, including traditional computer networks, wireless ad-hoc networks, and peer to peer systems. This paper process a new technique for file sharing in P2P.
