Sustainability issues make the transformation to a more sustainable business model increasingly desirable. This study aims to analyze the literatures on SBM to provide a systematic review of the current status of the SBM literatures. This paper uses visual bibliometrics and comparative research methods to carry out collaboration, co-citation, and co-occurrence analyses of the literatures from the Web of Science by CiteSpace. Compared with the existing literature reviews of SBM, this paper makes a set of knowledge maps and analyzes visual results based on BMI-3 category framework to show the features of literatures, the future trend and the potential approaches contributing to SBM. It is the first study to present the major clusters to reveal their associated intellectual bases and research fronts in SBM.

Remote sensing of crop growth monitoring is an important technique to guide agricultural production. To gain a comprehensive understanding of historical progression and current status, and future trend of remote sensing researches and applications in the field of crop growth monitoring in China, a study was carried out based on the publications from the past 20 years by Chinese scholars. Using the knowledge mapping software CiteSpace, a quantitative and qualitative analysis of research development, current hotspots, and future directions of crop growth monitoring using remote sensing technology in China was conducted. Furthermore, the relationship between high-frequency keywords and the emerging hot topics were visually analyzed. The results revealed that Chinese researchers paid more attention on keywords such as “vegetation index”, “crop growth”, “winter wheat”, “leaf area index (LAI)”, and “model” in the field of crop growth monitoring, and “LAI” and “unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)”, appeared increasingly in frontier research of this discipline. Overall, bibliometric results from this CiteSpace-aided study provide a quantitative visualization to enrich our understanding on the historical development, current status, and future trend of crop growth monitoring in China.

Purpose In order to present a significant usage of the computer-aided design (CAD)/computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) systems in the apparel and textile industry, the current literature has been observed. Although the CAD/CAM systems have also been increasingly applied to all fields apparel and textile manufacturing for the last few decades, improving the precision, productivity and the organization of the information flow, they have not been fully utilized in these industrial fields. The paper aims to discuss these issues. Design/methodology/approach The paper is structured in three main sections showing the vast applicability of the CAD/CAM systems, the benefits provided by them and the future trend in their development. Findings Although the initial development of the CAD/CAM systems strived to completely eliminate manual and time-consuming operations, they have not been accepted in practice due to their inflexibility at making changes and the time needed for regenerating a complex parametric model. The textile and apparel industries show slow progress in acquiring the CAD/CAM systems. Originality/value This CAD/CAM technology enabled the customization in the design process according to individual needs and directed the textile and the apparel industry to moving into new directions such as the mass customization to personalization. The paper makes clear that although this technological concept is rather old, the use of the CAD/CAM systems will inevitably broaden in terms of applicability to new production stages.
