The educational integration of blind and visually impaired children has proven to be an upward trajectory in the process of upbringing, education, acquisition of knowledge and competencies in children with visual impairment. In addition to the benefits for the child's intellectual development, the integration process is of great importance in the social context. The education system has changed over time, both for visually impaired students and for their without visual impairment peers. Modern approaches and methods in the process of upbringing and education have made many means for work and learning for children who are blind and visually impaired inaccessible. We strive to adapt the environment for children with disabilities in order to fully include them and give them the opportunity to follow the most modern methods and use modern teaching aids in the process of upbringing and education. Key words: modern approaches, modern methods, integration, blind, visually impaired

The purpose of this study is to investigate the perception of visually impaired students, their peers without disabilities, and teachers about inclusive education, focusing on a second cycle educational institution in the Eastern region of Ghana implementing inclusive education for the visually impaired. In this study, we collected data from 23 visually impaired students, 27 students without disabilities, and 19 teachers in the inclusive school. Data were collected through semistructured in-depth interviews. This study followed a phenomenological approach, reporting findings from participants’ own words. The study findings revealed that visually impaired students and some teachers supported inclusion while a number of students without disabilities disliked the practice. Some teachers indicated that the idea of inclusive education is a good way to ensure equal educational opportunities. The study concludes that Ghanaian teachers in inclusive schools should be equipped with training to teach students with disabilities.

As an indispensable component of the social interpersonal interaction, metacommunication falls within many fields of study and is considered in the light of different anthropocentric perspectives, which predetermine a specific coverage of problematics, spatial modeling and categorization. During the last decades metacommunication is also a subject of increased interest in the linguistics in its quality of a complex phenomenon linked both with the transmission and interpretation of particular information in the verbal exchange and with the reflection on the speech use and formation of interpersonal relationships

The following study presents an overview of career development needs of blind and visually impaired individuals and discusses results of a 1983–84 survey of school teachers (grades K, 3, 6, 9 and 12), rehabilitation counselors, management staff of rehabilitation agencies and agency administrators that assessed career development needs of severely visually impaired persons and resources available to meet those needs. Individuals surveyed felt that their students or clients need greater accessibility to career development tasks, experiences, and resources, and that none of the resources listed in the survey are readily accessible now, and many are inaccessible. Four basic conclusions are discussed.
