The Impact

This paper introduces a method for the range localization of a moving ship based on the vertical hydrophone line array. The main implementation steps of the proposed algorithm are as follows. First, the stable low-frequency line spectrum component of the broadband radiated noise from the moving ship was extracted through the Detection of Envelope Modulation on Noise (DEMON) spectrum analysis method. Second, the pressure difference between the two different ranges was derived, and the corresponding interference fringes were observed in the plane of time and time interval. Then, the radial velocity of the moving ship could be obtained based on the period of the pattern oscillations of the interference fringes. Further, we estimated the time and range information of the Closest Point of Approach (CPA) and computed the ship range versus time. Finally, each element of the vertical hydrophone line array was processed by the method proposed above, and data fusion technology was adopted to reduce the impact of ineffective elements and improve the range estimation accuracy. The results of the simulation and experiment of a 16-element vertical array performed in the South China Sea verified the effectiveness of the algorithm.

In this paper, the laser vertical displacement measurement principle of line array CCD has been discussed, using the vector method to calculate the spherical optical ray tracing, and linear CCD laser collimator lens and camera lens are designed.

A novel technique is proposed in this paper for shared aperture multibeam forming in a complex time-modulated linear array. First, a uniform line array is interleaved randomly to form two sparse array subarrays. Subsequently, the theory of time modulation for linear arrays is applied in the constructed subarrays. In the meantime, the switch-on time sequences for each element of the two subarrays are optimized by an optimized differential evolution (DE) algorithm, i.e., the scaling factor of the sinusoidal iterative chaotic system and the adaptive crossover probability factor are used to enhance the diversity of the population. Lastly, the feasibility of the new technique is verified by the comparison between this technique and the basic multibeam algorithm in a shared aperture and the algorithm of iterative FFT. The results of simulations confirm that the proposed algorithm can form more desired beams, and it is superior to other similar approaches.

Macrotubules have been described1 in cells infected with Umatilla virus (UMAV), an orbivirus for which bluetongue virus (BTV) is the protype. Macrotubules, often in linear array, were observed in the cytoplasm and in intimate association with viroplasms of infected cells. Macrotubules had outside and inside diameters of 20 and 15 nm and many had dark-staining centers with diameters similar to the interiors of the tubules. UMAV was 60 nm and the RNA core was 30 nm in diameter. This report describes the association of UMAV with macrotubules and two types of microtubules.
