The aim: The clinical case was studied: comorbidity of mucoviscidosis and congenital dysfunction of adrenal glands cortex. Materials and methods: The clinical case of combined orphan pathology – cystic fibrosis and congenital dysfunction of adrenal glands cortex (adrenogenital syndrome) has been described. Clinical case: A 2-month child has been diagnosed with mucoviscidosis, of a mixed form, which was genetically confirmed. The proband and the father were found to be heterozygotes for the F508del mutation of the CFTR gene (the father suffers from mucoviscidosis). Congenital dysfunction of the adrenal glands, a viral form, was diagnosed when he was three years old. The child is currently receiving: Creon 100 000 units per day with eating, Colomycin 1 vial per day, Pulmozyme 2.5 mg/2.5 ml daily in the morning for inhalations, Ursofalk 600 mg every day constantly, Hydrocortisone 50 mg/day. Conclusions: This clinical case can be attributed to rare, as most such pathological conditions are usually diagnosed in maternity homes along with the prescription of appropriate therapy. This is an example of late diagnosis of the viral form of congenital adrenal dysfunction against the background of cystic fibrosis, indicating the need for earlier detection and timely introduction of substitution therapy to improve favourable prognosis for a disease.

Background. Fractures of the mandible are common in elderly patients, and among them, condylar fractures are the most frequent type. A change in occlusion is the most common physical finding in patients with fractures of the mandible. Therefore, it is challenging to identify mandibular fractures in posterior edentulous patients due to the lack of posterior occlusal contacts. It is crucial to do radiological investigations in such patients to exclude fractures. Case Presentation. This article describes a case of delayed diagnosis of a unilateral mandibular condylar fracture for a week’s duration and treating the condition as temporomandibular pathology in a posterior edentulous, 52-year-old patient. Conclusion. This clinical case highlights the importance of radiological investigations and occlusal analysis for early diagnosis of condylar fractures, particularly in posterior edentulous patients, lacking posterior occlusal contacts.

OBJECTIVE: Unerupted tooth, also called impacted tooth by some authors, is a dental organ that, even when fully developed did not erupt at the regular time, lying inside the bone completely surrounded by bone tissue or bone and mucosal tissue. The unerupted canines study is very important in dentistry, since successful results depend on early diagnosis for proper treatment management, however, despite the importance of this issue, few studies were found in the literature.CASE DESCRPTION: This paper reported a clinical case of a 14-year-old female patient who had four canines in the mentonian region of the mandible surrounded by a dentigerous cyst. The patient underwent a surgical procedure under general anesthesia for the teeth and dentigerous cyst removal.

A case of mycotic bovine nasal granuloma in a 10 year-old Jersey cow, produced by Drechslera halodes is presented. Histopathological sections showed abundant hyaline and pigmented extra and intracellular fungal structures together with a polymorphic cellular granuloma formed by neutrophils, lymphocytes, plasmocytes, histiocytes and giant cells of the Langhans type. It is the first case of mycotic bovine nasal granuloma recognized in Uruguay although this disease seems to be frequent according to the opinion of veterinarian specialists. Another similar clinical case also in a Jersey cow from the same dairy house with an intense cellular infiltrate rich in eosinophils without granulomatous image, together with extracellular hyaline and fuliginous fungal forms, is also referred for comparative purposes. Geotrichum sp. was isolated. The need of an early diagnosis and treatment of the disease is stressed.
