ABSTRACTIn the study of cultural heritage, most of the analytical techniques are point-specific or give information about small areas of the object. Therefore it is essential to obtain an overview of which points are suitable for these further investigations. To fulfill this, a first imaging study is the best way to proceed. Hereby, we can record the entire piece at once and observe the behavior and relation between different materials of the object. Various types of light can be used to obtain a selection of images and consequently also different information about the artifacts. Among them, infrared (IR) photography can be used as a first analysis, for instance, to reveal the pigments’ response upon interaction with IR radiation.In following we will present results obtained via IR video-photography on a selection of painted objects from the Mexican cultural heritage. These items are analyzed by False Color procedure, where colors are assigned to every grey tone of the pure IR photo. Hereby it is possible to distinguish between certain pigments on the painted surface.

Aims. We aim to evaluate the near-infrared colors of brown dwarfs as observed with four major infrared imaging space observatories: the Hubble Space Telescope (HST), the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), the Euclid mission, and the WFIRST telescope. Methods. We used the SPLAT SPEX/ISPEX spectroscopic library to map out the colors of the M-, L-, and T-type dwarfs. We have identified which color–color combination is optimal for identifying broad type and which single color is optimal to then identify the subtype (e.g., T0-9). We evaluated each observatory separately as well as the narrow-field (HST and JWST) and wide-field (Euclid and WFIRST) combinations. Results. The Euclid filters perform equally well as HST wide filters in discriminating between broad types of brown dwarfs. WFIRST performs similarly well, despite a wider selection of filters. However, subtyping with any combination of Euclid and WFIRST observations remains uncertain due to the lack of medium, or narrow-band filters. We argue that a medium band added to the WFIRST filter selection would greatly improve its ability to preselect brown dwarfs its imaging surveys. Conclusions. The HST filters used in high-redshift searches are close to optimal to identify broad stellar type. However, the addition of F127M to the commonly used broad filter sets would allow for unambiguous subtyping. An improvement over HST is one of two broad and medium filter combinations on JWST: pairing F140M with either F150W or F162M discriminates very well between subtypes.

Kabupaten Bantul meraih prestasi tingkat nasional di tahun 2008 yakni memperoleh penghargaan dalam KPPOD Award. Penghargaan yang diperoleh menjadi awal yang baik bagi Kabupaten Bantul dalam memperbaiki iklim penanaman modal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis distribusi keruangan penanaman modal dan pengaruh karakteristik wilayah terhadap pemilihan lokasi penanaman modal. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif, analisis tetangga terdekat, dan analisis regresi berganda. Berdasarkan hasil kajian dapat disimpulkan bahwa distribusi keruangan penanaman modal di Kabupaten Bantul terdistribusi di 10 kecamatan, sedangkan 7 kecamatan lainnya belum menjadi destinasi penanaman modal. Untuk lokasi perusahaan penanaman modal membentuk pola dispersed atau merata dengan nilai R sebesar 5,920887 (R>1). Sebagian dari lokasi penanaman modal berada di tepi jalan raya. Pemilihan lokasi penanaman modal di Kabupaten Bantul dipengaruhi oleh faktor daya tarik karakteristik wilayah seperti pertumbuhan ekonomi dan jumlah objek wisata. Bantul Regency won the national award of KPPOD in 2008. That award was a good commencement to improve Bantul Regency’s investment climate. The aims of this research were to identify and analyse the spatial distribution of investment and the effect of regional characteristics on the selection of investment site. The analytical techniques used in the research are descriptive analysis, nearest neighbour analysis, and multiple regression analysis. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that distribution of investment in Bantul Regency distributed in 10 sub-districts, while 7 others are not yet be destination of investment. For the location of investment firms forms a dispersed pattern with R value 5,920887 (R>1). Some investment firm are located on the edge of highway. The selection of investment sites in Bantul regency is affected by the attraction factors of the region characteristics such as economic growth and number of tourism objects.

<p>Throughout New Zealand’s public library sector, librarians, particularly those responsible for special collections, maintain and create exhibitions. They aim to reflect the depth and richness of our history, cultural heritage and society. Due to the immeasurable value of cultural heritage, it needs to be presented effectively, not only for aesthetic and preservation purposes, but also for the betterment of society. Therefore the objective of this study is to explore how exhibition principles are being applied to exhibition development and presentation in Auckland Libraries. This study will not only focus on the principles behind physical layout of the exhibitions, and selection of objects on display, it will also attempt to place exhibition design into a wider context. It will do this by exploring how library exhibitions reflect public policy, and how exhibition designers perceive their social and cultural responsibilities as representatives of public libraries. Herein lies the value of the proposed study; it will allow better informed practices by exploring the use of exhibition design principles, and the application of public policy in public.</p>

This research  aims to  analyze the influence of the process of recruitment and  selection simultaneously as well as partially against employee performance support. In this study using a type of associative methods and quantitative data primary data sources by using the instrument of the questionnaire. The population in this research is the employee technician  PT. Telkom Akses Surabaya Utara as many as 56 respondents.Sampling technique used was saturated samples or often called as well with a sample of the total. Analytical techniques used in this research is the Partial Least Square (PLS) includes test convergen validity, discriminan validity, composite realibility, cronch alpha, R- square, simulan test (test F) and partial test (test T). The results of the analysis explains that the process of recruitment and selection effect simultaneously against the performance of the employee, this is indicated by the value of the count of 40.991 F is greater than F table 4.02 and significance value (S ig) 0.000 smaller than 0.05 and the process of recruitment of influential partially against the performance of the employee, this is shown by the value T calculate of 3.024 is greater than 1.96 table T and value its significance (P values) 0.003 smaller than 0.05. As well as a selection of influential partially against the performance of the employee, this is shown by the value T calculate of 2.856 is greater than 1.96 table T and value its significance (P values) 0.004 smaller than 0.05

Iron-containing earth minerals of various hues were the earliest pigments of the prehistoric artists who dwelled in caves. Being a prominent part of human expression through art, nature-derived pigments have been used in continuum through ages until now. Studies reveal that the primitive artist stored or used his pigments as color cakes made out of skin or reeds. Although records to help understand the technical details of Indian painting in the early periodare scanty, there is a certain amount of material from which some idea may be gained regarding the methods used by the artists to obtain their results. Considering Indian wall paintings, the most widely used earth pigments include red, yellow, and green ochres, making it fairly easy for the modern era scientific conservators and researchers to study them. The present knowledge on material sources given in the literature is limited and deficient as of now, hence the present work attempts to elucidate the range of earth pigments encountered in Indian wall paintings and the scientific studies and characterization by analytical techniques that form the knowledge background on the topic. Studies leadingto well-founded knowledge on pigments can contribute towards the safeguarding of Indian cultural heritage as well as spread awareness among conservators, restorers, and scholars.

Taking under consideration the findings, the goal is to style and manufacture 1, 8-naphthyridine and quinoline 3-carboxylic acid derivatives. The synthesized compounds are going to be characterized using multiple analytical techniques, virtual screening, and in-silico ADME/T prediction. Abstract The tools of analytical chemistry, and the expertise and enthusiasm of many of its practitioners, have had a profound influence in the field of cultural heritage [1, 2]. Analytical techniques, especially those involving non-destructive methods of examination, have played a key role in the characterization, restoration, and preservation of an incredible range of works of art and cultural heritage, including ceramics, textiles, paintings, books, drawings, sculptures, jewelry, and a myriad of artifacts made of glass, wood, or metal. In addition, modern analytical instrumentation has been successfully applied to study the techniques used to produce heritage materials, to verify the authorship or estimate the date of pieces of art, and to detect reproductions and forgeries.

The article discusses the issues of preservation of cultural heritage objects due to their mass loss by creating a mechanism for the efficient selection of objects subject to renovation. The algorithm for the calculation of the degree of deterioration of the building and the integral index of value is proposed. The problem of definition of the objective function with respect to which is characterized by the objective function of the optimal feature set and the problem of definition of the target functions of state programs of renovation are solving preservation.
