A male Sceloporus smithi was collected at Hierve El Agua, in the Municipality of San Lorenzo Albarradas, Oaxaca, México. This record extends the known distribution of the species by approximately 25 km N from the closest acknowledged locality and also represents a new upward elevational record. Even though the elevation at this site is almost 700 m higher than for previously documented localities, the subhumid forest and igneous rock association is similar to other inhabited localities at lower elevations.

Ayerbe’s snail-eater Sibon ayerbeorum is a nocturnal, tree-dwelling snake which was recently described based on four specimens collected in the proximity of Munchique National Natural Park, department of Cauca, Colombia, above 1000 m altitude. We here expand the distribution range of S. ayerbeorum into the department of Chocó, Colombia. The new record extends the distributional range of the Ayerbe’s snail-eater by nearly 288 km in a straight-line north-western ward from its type locality and is more than 1000 m below it.

Lymnaea biacuminata Annandale & Rao, 1925, is a rare freshwater snail with less than 10 locality records in the states of Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttarakhand of India. This species is taxonomically problematic and its relationship to the morphologically similar L. acuminata Lamarck, 1822, unresolved. We identify L. biacuminata from Maharashtra for the first time and this species’ distributional range to Pune, about 500 km westwards from the type locality at Hosainsagar lake between Hyderabad and Secunderabad in Telangana. In Maharashtra, we found L. cf. biacuminata sympatric with L. acuminata. To aid in distinguishing between these two species, additional information on breeding behaviour and shell morphometry of both species are provided.

The distributional range of Hipposcorpaena filamentosa Fowler, 1938, previously recorded only from the Philippines, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea is extended to include South Africa and Australia, on the basis of two specimens (17.2–29.5 mm standard length) which are described in detail. In addition, the first underwater photograph of H. filamentosa, taken at Kashiwa-jima Island, Kochi, Japan, is included. The species is apparently widely distributed in the Indo-West Pacific.
