The Horned Toad, Rhinella ceratophrys, is widely distributed in the northwestern part of the Amazon region. It is known from Venezuela by only a single juvenile from the base of Cerro Marahuaca, Amazonas state. Herein we report four additional specimens from Venezuela: three juveniles also from Cerro Marahuaca, and a subadult female from the southern slopes of Cerro La Neblina, at the southern border of Amazonas state. The specimen from Cerro La Neblina extends the species distribution to the extreme south of Venezuelan Amazonia, 307 km south of Marahuaca, and it represents the southeasternmost record of the species. We also confirm the presence of R. ceratophrys in Brazil based on voucher specimens, and present an updated distribution map.

This article provides a new record for Enyalius bibronii from municipality of Tenente Laurentino Cruz, state of Rio Grande do Norte, northeastern Brazil. The collection site is located in a mountain forest enclave belonging to the Caatinga domain. This record extends the species distribution towards central region of the state.

Melogale personata I. Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire, 1831, Large-toothed Ferret Badger (Mustelidae), is distributed from Nepal to Vietnam with very few records. It historically is known by only one recent sighting record from an unspeci-fied area of Nepal. The IUCN species distribution map shows this species in the Okhaldhunga District. We confirm the presence of M. personata in Nepal based on a sighting of a juvenile individual. This is the first record of this species from Syangja District, Nepal. The geographical range of this species is extended farther west in Nepal.

Rhinella mirandaribeiroi is widely distributed in the Cerrado domain and Cerrado enclaves in the Amazon forest, occurring also at the ecotone between this domain and surrounding formations. Here, we provide the first species record for the state of São Paulo, municipality of São Joaquim da Barra, northeast of the state. Additionally, we also provide a distribution map. This new record fills a gap in the species´ distribution in southeastern Brazil.

Herein is reported the first record of Trechona venosa (Araneae, Dipluridae) for the state of Minas Gerais. The previous records are restricted to a maximum range of about 50 km from the Atlantic Ocean coast, in the states of Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo. The new record extends the species distribution to 200 km far from coast.

The coelidiinae leafhopper genus Baseprocessa Fan & Li is newly recorded from India based on the description of B. patkaensis Meshram sp. nov. and a proposed new combination, B. serratispatulata (Viraktamath & Meshram) comb. nov. Materials are deposited in the National Pusa Collection, Division of Entomology, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, India. Photographic illustrations, checklist and key to species of this genus along with a distribution map are also provided.

We present a new distribution map, including new locality records for the Blue-fronted Lancebill (Doryfera johannae) from southeast Peru. One of these records is the first physical capture record for the Madre de Dios region and supposes a range extension of ca. 470 km to the southeast. We provide notes related to the environment in which this individual was found, along with photos of the captured female from the Manu Learning Centre in the buffer zone of Manu Biosphere Reserve.

Ayerbe’s snail-eater Sibon ayerbeorum is a nocturnal, tree-dwelling snake which was recently described based on four specimens collected in the proximity of Munchique National Natural Park, department of Cauca, Colombia, above 1000 m altitude. We here expand the distribution range of S. ayerbeorum into the department of Chocó, Colombia. The new record extends the distributional range of the Ayerbe’s snail-eater by nearly 288 km in a straight-line north-western ward from its type locality and is more than 1000 m below it.

Corbicula fluminea (Müller, 1774) is an Asian freshwater clam that is widely distributed throughout the world through multiple introductions. Its invasion can cause environmental and economic damage. In Brazil, C. fluminea is recorded in all major hydrographic basins. Here, we report the first record of C. fluminea in the Chapada dos Veadeiros region of Goiás, Brazil. This new record extends the known distribution of this species to a conserved area in the Cerrado biome, towards areas of interest for conservation and integral protection units of the biodiversity.

Botanical studies and exploration of Orchidaceae in Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park, Goiás state, Brazil, found a unreported species in the state. The presence of Scaphyglottis livida (Lindl.) Schltr. is reported, an illustration and distribution map are provided, and the morphological relationships of S. livida to other similar species, as well as its phenology, are discussed. A key to the species of the genus Scaphyglottis occurring in the Central-West Region of Brazil; images of these species are also provided.
