The purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of putting up for 58 days life of various amounts of nanosilicon citrate infusion obtained by the method using nanotechnology and metasilicate sodium, on the growth and development of the body of the rabbits of the Hyla 110 of the diurnal age. The rabbits of the control group fed without restriction a balanced granulated feed with free access to water. Animals of the experimental groups I, II and III fed feed of the control group's diet and, during the day, dispensed the citrus application, accounting for 25; 50 and 75 μg Si/kg body weight. The females of the IV and V experimental groups feed the diet of the control group and set the sodium metasilicate (Na2SiO3H2O) with water in an amount of 2.5 and 5.0 mg Si/kg body weight, respectively. The trial lasted 68 days, including a preparatory period of 10 days, an experimental one of 58 days. On the 110-th day of life, animals of all groups were killed to determine the mass indices of carcasses, internal organs and skin. Exposure of nanosilicon citrate to animals in the I, II, and III experimental groups during 58 days was characterized by an increase in body weight of 4.0; 9.5 and 8.9%, while the use of sodium metasilicate in IV and V groups increased by 3.1 and 4.2% compared with the control group. The carcass weight correlation was correlated with body weight and in animals of groups ІІ and ІІІ, respectively, was higher by 10.6 and 9.0%, while in other experimental groups it was greater in the range from 2.4 to 2.9% compared with control. Research on the development of the body of rabbits indicated a tendency to a higher level of body mass index and internal organs in animal experimental groups than in the control, although the more pronounced differences were in rabbits I–III groups, which were deposited on nanosilicon citrus application. Ribbons infusion of citrate in comparison with metasilicate of sodium and control group, to a greater extent influenced the mass of the skin and the mass of the liver, which was reflected in an increase (P < 0.05) of their mass on 110 days of life. The use of an organic compound of silicon in the amount of 50 and 75 μg Si/kg of body weight, during 58 days, contributed to the activation of metabolic processes in the skin. Perhaps higher (P < 0.05) indices of the thickness of the dermis and subcutaneous fat and the total thickness of the skin of rabbits compared with the control group were established. The conducted studies showed more pronounced positive effects on the growth and development of the body of rabbits of the organic compound of silicon in the amount of 50 and 75 μg Si/kg body weight in comparison with its inorganic compound and control group.

The aim of the study was to investigate the effects of nanotechnology and sodium metasilicate on the content of total calcium and inorganic phosphorus and individual lipids in the blood of rabbits from 52 to 110 days of life. Studies were conducted on young rabbits of Hyla breed in the private sector. Rabbits for the study were selected at the age of 41 days on the principle of analogues, weighing 1.2–1.4 kg, were divided into six groups (control and five experimental), 6 animals (3 males and 3 females) in each. Animals were kept in with adjustable microclimate and illumination in mesh cages measuring 50×120×30 cm, in accordance with modern animal health standards. The control group rabbits were fed without restriction a balanced granular compound feed, with free access to water. Animals I, II, and III of the study groups were fed a control group diet and fed citrate silicon for 24 hours, with a corresponding rate of 25; 50 and 75 µg Si/kg body weight. Young animals of the IV and V experimental groups were fed wit diet of the control group and water was given sodium metasilicate (Na2SiO3H2O) in the amount of 2.5 and 5.0 mg Si/kg body weight, respectively. The experiment lasted 68 days, including the preparatory period of 10 days, the experimental period – 58 days. In the preparatory period – at 52 days and experimental at 83 and 110 days of life (31 and 58 days of drinking additives) in 4 animals (2 males and 2 females) from the group blood samples were taken for biochemical studies. Studies have found that the concentration of total calcium in the blood plasma of rabbits III and IV study groups was higher by 9.6 and 6.4% (P < 0.05) for 58 days of the study compared with the control, indicating the stimulating effect of the organic compound silicon to activate the processes of assimilation of this macronutrient in the body of young rabbits. Silicone citrate in the large test quantities and sodium metasilicate in the blood plasma of animals of III, IV and V experimental groups respectively increased the level of inorganic phosphorus by 35.7; 28.5 and 35.7% (P < 0.05) than controls at day 58 of the study. In the final study period, the ratio of Calcium to Phosphorus in the animals of the II – V experimental groups was in the range of 2.0–1.73: 1, indicating a more pronounced effect of silicon compounds on the metabolism of Phosphorus during a longer period of supplementation. The content of triacylglycerols in the blood plasma of rabbits II and III of the experimental groups was lower (P < 0.05) at 31 and 58 days of the study compared with the control. The results obtained may indicate the activation of the processes of metabolic accumulation of plastic components of cell membranes and energy needs of body tissues. The use of silica organic compound reduced the cholesterol content by 37% (P < 0.05) in the blood of rabbits of the III experimental group at 31 days of the study. Whereas at the final stage of the experiment in animals II; In the 3rd and 4th research groups, its level was lower by 43.4; 36.9 and 42.2% (P < 0.05) compared to the control, indicating greater use of cholesterol by the organism with silica organic compound.

ВПЛИВ РЕТАБОЛІЛУ, РЕЧОВИНИ LES-2222*, ТЕСТОСТЕРОНУ ПРОПІОНАТУ НА МАСУ ТІЛА ТА ВНУТРІШНІХ ОРГАНІВ ЩУРІВ ПРИ ХАРЧОВІЙ ДЕПРИВАЦІЇ - Метою дослідження було вивчення рівня анаболічної дії вказаних речовин на масу тіла і внутрішніх органів щурів за умов харчової депривації. Було сформовано 5 груп тварин по 6 особин у кожній: контрольна І отримувала повноцінний раціон, контрольна ІІ піддавалась харчовій депривації; тваринам дослідних груп вводили щоденно досліджувані речовини. Дослід тривав 9 діб з вільним доступом тварин до води. Статистичну вірогідність визначали за Н. А. Плохін- ським [1]. Результати досліджень показали позитивний вплив застосованих речовин на зміни маси тіла і внутрішніх органів щурів, вірогідність яких підтверджується силою кореляційного відношення між величиною показників щурів контрольних і дослідних груп до та після проведення експерименту, яка зростала від слабкого (т|2=0,115) до сильного (т|2=0,718) для маси тіла, т|2=0,554 для печінки, п2=0,377 для нирки, п2=0,308 для сім’яників; для маси селезінки і серця сила кореляційного відношення не перевищувалат|2=0,209. При цьому, найменше зниження маси тіла тварин виявлено при введенні речовини LES-2222-14,8 %, проти 19,3 та 20,3 % за дії ретаболілу і тестостерону пропіонату, маси печінки -10,1; 8,7 та 4,3 %, нирки - 4,6; 13,7 і 18,2 %, сім’яника - 7,9; 9,9 та 11,8 % відповідно. Таким чином, введення досліджуваних речовин в організм щурів, які піддавались харчовій депривації, призводить до вірогідного зменшення величини показника зниження маси тіла та внутрішніх органів тварин. Максимально високу анаболічну активність забезпечує речовина LES-2222. Вероятно, исследуемые вещества тормозят процессы катаболизма, что проявляется меньшими потерями как массы тела животных в целом, так и внутренних органов в частности.<br />EFFECT OF RETABOLIL, LES-2222* SUBSTANCE, TESTOSTERONE PROPIONATE ON BODY WEIGHT AND INTERNAL ORGANS<br />OF RATS UNDER FOOD DEPRIVATION - The aim of study was to investigate the anabolic action of these substances on body weight and internal organs of rats under conditions of food deprivation. It was formed 5 groups of animals, 6 heads in each: I control one received a full-diet, II control group-subjected to food deprivation; animals were injected daily the research substances. The experiment lasted for 9 days with free access of animals to water. Statistical significance was determined by N. A. Plohinskyi [1]. The results showed a positive effect of applied substances on weight change and internal organs of rats, the probability of which is confirmed by the strength of the correlation ratio between the size indices rat control and experimental groups before and after the experiment, which grew from weak (n2 = 0.115) to severe (n2 = 0.718) for body weight, n2 = 0.554 for the liver, n2 = 0.377 for the kidneys, n2 =<br />0.308 for the testes; for the mass of the spleen and heart strength of the correlation ratio did not exceed n2 = 0.209. The least weight loss was observed when administered to animals the LES-2222 substance - 14.8 %, against 19.3 and 20.3 % for the actions of retabolil and testosterone propionate, liver weight, 10.1; 8.7 and 4.3 %, kidney-4.6; 13.7 and 18.2 %, testis-7.9; 9.9 and 11.8%, respectively. Thus, the introduction of these substances in the body of rats under food deprivation, leads to a possible decrease in the index of weight loss and internal organs of animals. Maximum high anabolic activity provides LES- 2222 substance. The aim of the study was to investigate the effects of Moringa oleifera aqueous seed extract on live body weight, gonadal and extragonadal dimensions and sperm reserves of Yankasa rams. Twenty five apparently healthy Yankasa rams aged 1-2 years and weighing 19.0 ± 2.1 Kg were used for the study. The rams were randomly selected into five groups: A, B, C, D and E with five rams in each group as treatment and control groups respectively. Groups A - D were given oral dose of Moringa oleifera aqueous seed extract at a dose rate of 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 (mg/kg), respectively while group E was given 10 ml/kg water orally, daily for five months. Live body weight, gonadal and extragonadal reserves were determined according to standard techniques. The results showed a significant increase in live body weight in the months of April to June among rams treated with different doses of Moringa oleifera aqueous seed extract compared with the control group. The control group showed no significant differences in the body weight, gonadal and extragonadal dimensions and sperm reserves. In conclusion, the treatment of Yankasa rams with Moringa oleifera aqueous seed extract increased live body weight, but had no significant effects on gonadal and extragonadal dimensions and sperm reserves in Yankasa rams. Therefore, it is recommended that M. oleifera aqueous seed extract can be used at doses of 2000mg/kg to 3000mg/kg in Yankasa rams for optimum gain in live body weight.

There were infected neonatal piglets in the first days of their lives PED virus suspension derived from pigs previously PED patients. Diagnosis for PED in piglets donor virus PED was inserted complex method for clinical and epizootic performance and confirmed the identification PEDV by PCR-RT using the test system «EZ-RED/TGE/PDCoV MPX 1.0 Real time RT-PCR» company Tetracore (USA) Thermocyclers CFX 96 Real-Time System company BIO RAD (USA). Homogenate small intestine of pigs PEDV donor, prepared in a blender for PCR in a thick band of 18 animal carcasses, frozen at -18 °C without cryopreservation and kept 359 days. Before infecting pigs and strip defrost by RT-PCR identified the concentration of the virus genome equivalents (GE) without establishing viable virions quantitative pathogen. For Sample 20 selected analog neonatal piglets, divided them into 3 experimental groups (group 1 – 5 piglets, group 2 – 5 piglets and group 3 – 7 piglets) and one control (3 piglets). Research pigs infected per os virus-containing suspension with a concentration PEDV 1.03×106 GE/cm3. The dose for infection first group was 6 cm3 (6.18×106 GE/cm3), for the second – 5 cm3 (5,15 × 106 GE/cm3), for the third – 4 cm3 (4.12 GE×106/cm3) homogenate. The fourth group – control (not infected). All the pigs were in identical conditions that fully meet the physiological needs of the body. Of the 17 infected pigs only 2 was infected PEDV. PED was confirmed by laboratory methods. In bacteriological examination of internal organs of pigs that came out of a research experiment and control group were diagnosed colibacteriosis. In the control group was isolated from heart and intestinal non-pathogenic for white mice E. coli. From pigs 1 and 2 research groups has been allocated to white mice nonpathogenic E. coli, is set colibacteriosis; 2 experimental group found in one pig hemolytic E. coli; 3 experimental group from the internal organs of pigs in conjunction with non-pathogenic for mice intestinal former cane isolated Klesiella spp., is diagnosed with mixed infection (E. coli, Klesiella spp.). From the intestine of experimental and control pigs do not identified beneficial microflora – aerococcus, lactobacteria, bifidobacteria and cultured putrefactive anaerobic spore facultative and non spore microflora.

The work aims to study the effect of different doses of the experimental probiotic preparation “Plantarum” when fed to pregnant animals on their reproductive qualities, as well as on the growth and development of young animals. To obtain young animals, four groups of goats were formed in the type of the Saanen breed, 20 heads each. In the first (control) group, the animals received a standard diet, in the diet of the animals of the second, third and fourth groups in the second half of pregnancy, the probiotic preparation “Plantarum” was additionally introduced, containing Lactobacillus Plantarum, Propiobacterium freudenreihii, in dosages from 0.4 to 0.8 ml/kg of body weight per day. From the offspring of the goats of the experimental groups, four groups of 12 goats were formed. The highest percentage of preservation (94%) and the highest business output of kids per 100 queens (150%) were observed in the fourth experimental group (0.8 ml). The goats of the second, third and fourth groups exceeded the body weight of their contemporaries from the control group by 3%, 6.3%, and 8.8%. The highest indices of the absolute increase in body weight by age periods were noted in the fourth group of goats. There were no significant differences in body build indices during the experiment between the goats of the control and experimental groups. Thus, the maximum positive effect was observed with the introduction of a probiotic preparation into the diet of pregnant goats at a dose of 0.8 ml/kg of body weight per day.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of discriminate and indiscriminate use of colistin sulfate on body weight and haematological parameters in broiler. Day-old-broiler chicks were collected and reared for up to 31 days. The chicks were randomly divided into control, discriminate and indiscriminate antibiotic group. The discriminate group was treated with colistin sulfate antibiotic (Eskolis-24) for one week (from 16th to 22th day) followed by one week withdrawal period. In case of indiscriminate group, the poultry were treated with colistin sulfate antibiotic for 14 days (from 16th to 29th day) without any withdrawal period until sacrifice. The body weight of the birds were recorded daily. The mean body weight was highest in indiscriminate group (1408.22±133.49 gm) followed by discriminate group (1330.15±134.93 gm) and control group (1243.81±173.19 gm). The differences among means of three groups were not statistically significant. The Total erythrocyte count (Million/mm3) of control, discriminate, and indiscriminate groups were 2.53± 0.05, 2.56±0.08, and 2.52±0.08 respectively. The hemoglobin (gm%) were 7.06± 0.09, 7.03± 0.12, and 7.11±0.09 respectively and the Packed Cell Volume (%) were 19.66±1.11, 19.33±0.95, and 20.16±0.70 respectively. The results found were not statistically significant among the groups for TEC, Hb and PCV respectively. Total lymphocyte (%) count were 67.16±0.60, 70±1.15, and 71.83±1.30 respectively. Total neutrophil (%) count were 32.83± 0.60, 28.83±1.42, and 26.83±1.10 respectively. Total eosinophil (%) count were 0± 0, 1±0.44, and 1.16±0.40 respectively. Total basophil (%) count were zero (0) and total monocyte (%) count were 0± 0, 0.17±0.17, and 0.17±0.17 respectively. In our experiment, both discriminate and indiscriminate groups showed no significant differences of lymphocyte, neutrophil, eosinophil, basophil and monocyte. Therefore, discriminate and indiscriminate use of colistin sulfate for two weeks has no effect on haematological parameters of broiler poultry. Further experiment needed for more concise conclusion. Background and Objectives: Nephrotoxicity is one of the limiting factors for using doxorubicin as an anticancer chemotherapeutic. Reactive oxygen species and cytokines have been implicated in the nephrotoxicity induced by doxorubicin. The main objective of the present study is to identify and compare the histomorphological features in kidneys of albino rats and gross morphological features such as weight of rats and weight of the kidneys due to administration of doxorubicin. Materials and Methods: In the study, albino rats were taken as the animal model. Sixty animals were taken as the sample size. They were divided into two equal groups: experimental (n=30) and control (n=30). Rats of experimental group were treated with anticancer drug doxorubicin at a single intraperitoneal dose of 10 mg/kg body weight while the Control group of rats received a similar volume of 0.9% normal saline. The ethical clearance was taken prior to the research from IERB committee BPKIHS Dharan.  Results: Our results showed that there was high effect of drug in experimental groups of rats. It was seen that there was significant decrease in the body weight and weight of kidneys. The final body weight and kidney weight between experimental and control group showed the significant difference. Similarly there were no significant differences in the normal architecture between the male and female rats. The normal renal histological features were seen on the kidneys in the control group whereas the rats intervened with the drug had some disrupted histological features which reveal the toxicity of the drugs in the kidneys. Conclusion: The study showed toxicity of the drug in the kidneys of experimental groups of rats irrespective of gender and suggest that doxorubicin causes significant loss of the body weight and weight of kidneys and causes the disruption in the normal histological features.

The research aimed at investigating whether there was the massage effect on the growth and development of the infants of 3 – 4 months old in the working area of PHC Kanjilo, Barombong District, Gowa Regency.  This was a quasy experiment research with the pretest-posttest method on the treatment and control groups. Sample consisted of 38 subjects who were selected by the purposive sampling technique. The samples were divided into 2 group, namely the treatment group ( n=19) and control group (n=19) by matching the same age and sex in the two groups. The variables measured were the body weight gain, height gain, development indicator change. The research used the statistic test of Wilcoxon signed rank test, Mann Whitney U test, McNemar test with the  significance level of 0.05. The research result indicates that after the massage has been carried out for 30 days, there is the significant change particularly on the body weight gain variable with the  value of p = 0,008 (<0.05) and the development indicator change variable with the value of p = 0.05.  While for the height, the change is not significant between the infants who are given the massage and are not given the massage with the value of p = 0,091 (> 0.05), likewise, the development indicator change is not significant on the infants who are not massaged (p=0,317).

The high plan of nutrition right from an early age is believed to enhance ovarian activity and early onset of puberty in heifers. This study was therefore conducted to know the body weight, ovarian and blood biochemical changes in nutritionally supplemented and control groups of prepubertal Jaffrabadi buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) heifers. A total of 12 animals of 30 ± 2 month's age and the identical body weight of 380–410 kg from Cattle Breeding Farm, JAU, Junagadh were utilized for this study. They were randomly divided into two equal groups of 6 animals in each treatment and control groups. The heifers of the treatment group were supplemented with bypass fat (100 g), bypass protein (950 g) and chelated mineral mixture (50 g) over the routine farm feeding practices of control group, and its effect on body weight gain and blood biochemical profiles were studied at a monthly interval during 6 months of experimental period. The overall effect of nutritional supplementation on animals body weight, blood glucose and total cholesterol over the control group was statistically non-significant (p greator than 0.05) yet beneficial. The plasma total protein levels in the supplemented group increased with a duration of supplement and levels were significantly (p less than 0.05) higher over the control group. The ovarian dynamics evaluated by transrectal ultrasound during last three months of the study revealed an increasing number of growing follicles greator than 4 mm in diameters (5.00 ± 0.13 to 6.67 ± 0.40), without significant variation in diameters of largest follicles (9.14 ± 0.45 to 10.27 ± 0.85 mm) between groups or periods. However, none of the heifers exhibited behavioral signs of estrus during 6 months study, in spite of the establishment of cyclicity with the presence of developed follicles, or CLs suggesting silent ovulation, at 36 ± 2 months of age in this breed.

The study was conducted to evaluate the effects of triclabendazole and nitroxynil against fascioliasis in goat for a period of 28 days on 20 black bengal goats. Among hundred goats, twenty were selected for this study which was suffering from liver fluke (Fasciola gigantica) infection and were marked by tagging. Twenty goats were randomly divided into four groups (A, B, C and D) where each group comprising of five goats. Group A were treated with tablet fasinex (triclabendazole, Novartis Ltd, Bangladesh) orally at the dose rate of 12 mgkg-1body weight, group B were treated with acinex (triclabendazole, ACI Ltd, Bangladesh) orally at the dose rate of 12 mgkg-1body weight and group C were treated with nitronex injection (nitroxynil, Renata Ltd, Bangladesh) subcutaneously at the dose rate of 10 mgkg-1 body weight. Goats of group D was kept as infected control group without giving any treatment. A significant (P<0.01) reduction of egg per gram (EPG) count was found on 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th days of treated goats of group A, B and C, respectively. The EPG count of control group were significantly (P<0.01) increased 7 day onwards up to experimental period. Reduction of mean EPG on 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th day after treatment in group A, B and C were 81.48%, 81.25% and 83.04%, respectively, whereas in control group the mean EPG were 22.43%. Of the hematological parameters, TEC, Hb and PCV values were lower on day 0 but turned to increase (p<0.01) on day 28 of the study. On the other hand, ESR and TLC were higher before treatment (day 0) but decreased significantly (p<0.01) on day 28.The body weight increased significantly (P<0.01) after treatments in group A, B and C respectively except untreated control. This result may indicate that three commercial anthelmintics contain triclabendazole and nitroxynil against fascioliasis in goat and nitroxynil have higher efficacies on egg per gram (EPG), hematological parameters and body weight against fascioliasis in goat. Additional detailed studies are required to prevent and control of fascioliasis in goats by using a routine prophylactic anthelmintics measurement.International Journal of Natural Sciences (2015), 5(2) 46-51
