Psittacosis – a zooanthroponosis infection. In humans, the disease can manifest atypical pneumonia, enteritis, peritonitis, encephalitis. In parrots the disease starts with loss of appetite, drowsiness, weakness, fever, appearance of conjunctivitis, rhinitis and diarrhea. The causative agent of psittacosis in parrots are obligate intracellular microorganism Chlamydophila psittaci, which enters the body through the epithelium of the mucous membranes of respiratory tract. Its reproduction and accumulation occurs in the epithelial, and lymphoid reticulohistiocytosis cells. Chlamydia capable to long time cellular localization, can penetrate into the various organs and systems: the lungs, the nervous, cardiovascular system, liver. Parrot, who had been ill for psittacosis, is usually long remain carriers of Chlamydia. This article contains the definition of «psittacosis» as the disease, etiology, pathogenesis, main clinical features of parrots, pathological changes, especially the diagnosis, treatment and prevention. This materials are can help to owners of parrot and veterinary professionals to understand the disease, clinical signs, modern methods of diagnosis, prevention and therapy of psittacosis.

Abstract Objective The aim of this study was to report an unusual case of an iatrogenic foreign body within the stifle joint, removed 6 years after distal femoral fracture repair in a small dog. Acute lameness was caused by a migrating screwdriver fragment, which had been lost during initial fracture repair and which did not cause clinical signs for years until dislodged inside the joint. Case Report A male Jack Russell, 7 years of age, underwent plate and screws fixation to treat a Salter-Harris type I fracture at the age of 9 months. Seven months after surgery, partial implant removal was performed. Six years after fracture repair, the dog presented for a non-weight-bearing lameness and pain on the previously operated stifle joint, which occurred suddenly while walking on the leash. Radiographs revealed a small intra-articular metallic radiodense foreign body. Arthroscopy was used to remove the migrating broken-tip of a screwdriver from the medial aspect of the tibiofemoral joint. Retrieving the foreign body led to the immediate resolution of clinical signs without complications. Conclusion By reporting this case of a forgotten foreign body retained inside a stifle joint for 6 years, we aim to illustrate the potential risk of leaving a piece of metal inside the body. A high index of suspicion for such complications should be kept a long time after surgery. Arthroscopy was a useful first-line tool for efficiently and mini-invasively treating this unusual problem.

Nutrients like proteins, vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates and lipids are required for the right function of our body. Nutritional deficiency disorders are a major problem faced by the world, millions of people in the world suffer from undernourishment. Deficiency occurs when the food we are consuming does not contain the required amount of nutrients or when our body is not being able to absorb nutrients due to some genetic disorders or other secondary reasons. Nutritional deficiency is considered as the ‘hidden hunger’ and a person can suffer from deficiency of vitamins, proteins, minerals, carbohydrates and fatty acids. This review describes the different types of nutritional deficiencies, their causes, symptoms, treatment and prevention. The deficiencies are mostly asymptomatic but in a long time can very adversely affect the body functions and impair the immune system and cause chronic illness and infections. The severity of symptoms and the treatment varies from person to person. Poverty and low health literacy are the most important reasons for the prevalence of nutritional deficiencies in the world. However, these deficiencies can be prevented by promoting health education among adults, encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle and providing nutritional and healthy food to the ones who do not have access to it. Nutrition campaigns, supplementation and genetic engineering of plants and food crops has decreased the pervasiveness of deficiency disorders.

Creation in biofilters of favorable conditions for the existence of biocenoses secures RAS from the toxic effects of nitrites, which until recently did not attach great importance to toxicants for aquatic organisms. However, it has been found that they are very toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates. The purpose of the work was to investigate the effect of microbiological starter of the "Filtronorm-D" biofilter filler on the behavior of adult rainbow trout during the launch of the biofilter. Investigation of the influence of the microbial starter of the filtrotorm-D biofilter filler on the behavior and clinical condition and the preservation of rainbow trout during the launch of the biofilter of the ultrasound has been studied. Evaluated the clinical signs of adult rainbow trout during the launch of the biofilter CWS for the use of polypropylene filler RK PLAST-control in it. According to the second variant, the clinical signs of adult rainbow trout were evaluated during the startup of the biofilter of the ultrasound scanner for the use of polypropylene filler RK PLAST in it and the addition of the microbiological starter of the biofilter "Filtronorm-D" – experiment. In the experimental group, the biofilter water was introduced by our microbiological starter, biofilter filler "Filtronorm-D", containing live cultures of nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria in the amount of 107 CFU/cm3. On the 10th day of the experiment, after the application of the microbiological starter of the biofilter filler "Filtronorm-D", approximately 5 % of the fish with the initial clinical signs of nitrite poisoning were detected. The fish for a long time stood motionless in the corners of the pool, they had the darkening of the body and the brown color of the gills. On the 15th day after the launch of the CWS and the use of "Filtronorm-D", changes in behavior were detected in most of the research objects, which may indicate an increase in the amount of nitrites in water and their effect on the body of trout. Approximately 25 % of fish for a long time stays motionless in the corners of the pool, the mobility of the whole fish has decreased, some individuals have risen to the surface of the water. Changes in pigmentation of the body were also found in approximately 10 % of the individuals. The body became darker, the fins were sealed, the gills got brown color. During this trial period, the mortality rate of the fish was 1,3 %. On the 20th day of the experiment, the signs of nitrite poisoning of fish became increasingly pronounced. Approximately 30 % of the fish showed the presence of darkening of the body and fins, the latter were sealed. In the same fish, the changed color of the gills was observed – from red to brown. In addition, during this period of research, the highest trout death was determined – 3,1 %, which is almost 2.4 times (p <0,05) higher than in the 15-day period. The period of ultrasound starting from the 20th to the 25th day was characterized by a decrease in the content of nitrites from 1,1 mg/dm3 to 0.6 mg/dm3. The process of reducing the content of nitrites in water affected the activity of fish – only about 20 % of trout swam in the upper layers of water. On the 30th day of the launch of the ultrasound with the use of the microbiological starter of the biofilter filler "Filtronorm-D" no signs of nitrite poisoning in rainbow trout were noted. The loss of fish in the indicated period was practically not marked. At the same time, during the application of polypropylene filler RK PLAST without the addition of a microbiological starter of the biofilter filler "Filtronorm D", the most problematic period for fish, in which it is most dying due to the effect of nitrites, is the period from 25 to 30 days. Thus, the conducted researches prove that during the launch of ultrasound for the use of polypropylene filler RK PLAST in it and the addition of the microbiological starter of the biofilter fillter "Filtertronorm D" the most dangerous is the period from 15 to 20 days. During this period, the largest death of fish and signs of nitrite poisoning is recorded, which requires the implementation of veterinary and sanitary preventive measures to reduce the toxic effects of nitrites. Key words: RAS, rainbow trout, biofilter, "Filtronorm-D", nitrites, fish behavior, signs of poisoning.

Tetracycline are antibiotics with broad-spectrum that used routinely in veterinary medicine for animal treatment and prevention from infectious diseases. But, consuming antibiotics for long time and exceeding standards can lead to accumulation of antibiotic residues in the body. Based on SNI 01-6366-2000, the maximum residual limit (BMR) of tetracycline antibiotic is 0.1 mg/kg in meat. The purpose of this study was to determine the concentration of tetracycline residues in broiler chicken meat and beef that obtained in East Surabaya namely Manyar market, Sinar Baru market, Ampengan Batu market, Tenggilis Mejoyo market, Krempyeng market, Soponyono market, and Gunung Anyar market. This study used Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) as qualitative test and Spectrophotometric method as a quantitative test to determine the residual levels of tetracycline antibiotics. This study was conducted on March 15 onto May 2 2019. Based on the study, about 32 broiler chicken and 13 beef samples detected by the TLC method showed that had negative results, there was no containing tetracycline residues in samples. Awhile the results of the spectrophotometric method showed that as many as 31 samples of broiler chicken and 13 beef samples showed that had positive results containing residues of tetracycline antibiotics that exceed of the standard. Based on the results obtained that average concentration of tetracycline in samples of broiler chicken meat about 1,7 mg/kg and 0,8 mg/kg in beef samples. Descriptively, tetracycline residues in broiler chicken meat were higher than beef.

Among the myxozoan parasites, the genus Myxobolus is considered as the emerging parasite in freshwater aquaculture. In the present study, a disease outbreak associated with mass mortality was investigated in a carp farm located at North and Middle Andaman district of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The affected rohu fry exhibited the clinical signs such as lethargic movement, dark body colouration, loss of appetite, excess mucus secretion, 1-2 mm multifocal white nodules on the body surface and skeletal deformities including spinal curvatures. Molecular characterization using 18S rRNA along with clinical signs identified the causative agent as muscle infecting Myxobolus sp. (GenBank accession number MK128509) which showed 95.45% identity with Myxobolus musculi and 95.23% identity with Myxobolus pseudodispar. Genetic distance and phylogenetic tree analysis were performed to elucidate the relationship between the Myxobolus sp. obtained in the present study and the members of other congeners. This investigation serves as the first report of Myxobolus sp. outbreak from Andaman and Nicobar Islands and also reiterates the need for implementation of strict biosecurity measures to preserve the freshwater aquatic fauna of these Islands.

Shalakya Tantra is one of the eight branches of Ayurveda specifically for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of all the diseases occurring above the neck such as eyes, ear, nose, mouth and head. The branches of Shalakya Tantra includes Nethra Chikitsa (Ophthalmology), Karna Chikitsa (otology), Nasa Chikitsa (Rhinology), Mukharoga Chikita (Oral hygiene, Dentistry and Laryngology), and Shiroroga Chikitsa (diseases of the head). Among them, Ophthalmology comprises a major part of Shalakya Tantra. The eye is a very important and sensitive part of the body and responsible for visibility therefore the disease related to the eye must be handled carefully. According to Acharya Vagbhata, 18 diseases are designated as Pillakhya Rogas or Pilla Rogas which persist for a long time. The term Pilla means lusterless, dull, clouded, or dirty. Here it is used as a technical term to denote a group of 18 diseases of the eye. Also, many simple and effective treatments are mentioned in Ashtanga Hrudaya by Acharya Vagbhata. In this paper, an effort is taken to compile the references regarding Pillarogas and its management.

Over the past thirty years, academic debate over pornography in the discourses of feminism and cultural studies has foundered on questions of the performative and of the word's definition. In the polylogue of Droit de regards, pornography is defined as la mise en vente that is taking place in the act of exegesis in progress. (Wills's idiomatic English translation includes an ‘it’ that is absent in the French original). The definition in Droit de regards alludes to the word's etymology (writing by or about prostitutes) but leaves the referent of the ‘sale’ suspended. Pornography as la mise en vente boldly restates the necessary iterability of the sign and anticipates two of Derrida's late arguments: that there is no ‘the’ body and that performatives may be powerless. Deriving a definition of pornography from a truncated etymology exemplifies the prosthesis of origin and challenges other critical discourses to explain how pornography can be understood as anything more than ‘putting (it) up for sale’.

The definition of person and non-person always change through legal history. Long time ago, law did not recognize the personality of slaves. Recently, it accepted non-human legal subject as legitimate person before the law. This article examines sufficient conditions for being person in the eye of law according to its particular purposes, and then, analyses the meaning of legal person in criminal law. In order to do that, scientific methodology that is adopted in this research is doctrinal legal research combined with philosophical approach. Some theories regarding person and legal person were analysed, and then the concept of person was associated with the accepted definition of legal person that is adopted in the latest Indonesian drafted criminal code. From the study that has been done, can be construed that person in criminal law concerned with norm adressat of the rule, as the author of the acts or omissions, and not merely the holder of rights. It has to be someone or something with the ability to think rationally and the ability to be responsible for the choices he/she made. Drafted penal code embraces human and corporation as its norm adressat. Corporation defined with broad meaning of collectives. Consequently, it will include not only entities with legal personality, but also associations without legal personality. Furthermore, it may also hold all kind of collective namely states, states bodies, political parties, state’s corporation, be criminally liable.

The use of Antiretroviral drugs in treating HIV/ AIDS patients has enormously increased their life spans with serious disadvantages. The virus infection still remains a public health problem worldwide with no cure and vaccine for the viral agent until now. The use of nanoparticles (NPs) for the treatment and prevention of HIV/AIDS is an emerging technology of the 21st century. NPs are solid and colloid particles with 10 nm to <1000 nm size range; although, less than 200 nm is the recommended size for nanomedical usage. There are NPs with therapeutic capabilities such as liposomes, micelles, dendrimers and nanocapsules. The particle enters the body mainly via oral intake, direct injection and inhalation. It has been proven to have potentials of advancing the prevention and treatment of the viral agent. Certain NPs have been shown to have selftherapeutic activity for the virus in vitro. Strategies that are novel are emerging which can be used to improve nanotechnology, such as genetic treatment and immunotherapy. In this review, nanoparticles, the types and its characteristics in drug delivery were discussed. The light was furthermore shed on its implications in the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS.
