Endoprosthetics is often the only way out for a patient with severe hip joint pathology. An important step, in many ways ensuring successful replacement, is the correct choice of implant. When installing the hip joint implant, one of its parts - the leg - is placed in the marrow canal of the femur. Moreover, the installation must be done in a way that ensures, that on one hand, the leg fits tightly against the walls of the channel and on the other hand, no critical stress appears in the channel. Otherwise, serious postoperative complications are possible. Proper fit of the prosthesis is ensured by the correct choice from a given standard set of implants. To date the choice of the implant is realized using x-ray images of the canal in the direct and lateral projections. The implant images on a transparent film are sequentially applied to the hip and thighbone images in a straight and lateral projection, and thus a suitable implant is selected. In this regard, the problem of constructing an al-gorithm for choosing an implant based on quantitative characteristics arises. The method of optimal implant selection based on the quantitative characteristics of the implant and of the difference between the width of the channel in the direct projection and the width of the implant in a direct projection is a possible solution. The best for this channel in a direct projection is the implant for which the average distance between the upper wall of the canal and the implant is the smallest. The quantitative characteristic of the placement quality of the implant in the lateral projection is introduced in a similar way. The implants that fit in the channel are considered. It also must be taken into account that the implant should have contact with the channel in at least three points in the lateral projection. “The best for a given channel on the lateral projection is the implant for which the difference between the minimum distance from the anterior wall of the canal to the posterior wall of the implant and the width of the implant in this section is minimal. In best case, the best implant is the one that fits best in both projections. However, this does not always happen. Finally, for a given channel the choice of an implant from a given set of implants, generally speaking, is ambiguous. In addition to the characteristics and quality of an implant placement proposed here, other methods are possible

The study considered the role of passenger road transport as one of the most important sectors of the national economy, which influences the entire economy of a country and its regions, as well as the quality of life of the population.The analysis of the transport system in the city of Khujand, which is mainly dominated by road transport, has been carried out based on the results of the conducted survey on passenger flows on bus routes of the city, particularly, regarding origin-destination matrix, fare collectability.The conclusions argue in favour of practicability of conducting regular systematic monitoring of passenger flows to optimize suggestions in the field of urban public transport development. In fundamental terms, main problems of passenger transportation management were identified including lack of a regular timetable on certain routes, non-compliance with the traffic schedule, resulting in an increase in travel time, changes in routing due to the absence of sufficient number of passengers, systematic violations of traffic rules, excessively long stops at the hub stopping points, etc. The suggestions comprise approaches intended to reduce influence of organisational and managerial factors on efficiency of passenger transportation, on the correct choice of rolling stock, that should be selected considering design features, possibility of serving all segments of the population (categories of passengers), traffic intensity, manoeuvrability, compliance with road conditions, etc. Conclusions were also made regarding techniques to justify the volume of passenger transportation, to identify average distance of passenger’s trip, to calculate technical, operational, and quality indicators of operation of public transport, distribution of passengers per routes.The analysis of the structure of passenger flows since it influences the indicators of the effectiveness of passenger transportation, plays the most significant role in the framework of development of new approaches to the solution of transport issues in the city of Khujand.Implementation of full-scale monitoring of passenger flows will make it possible to develop appropriate timetables facilitating movement of passenger flows on routes, to select a rational type of rolling stock in terms of capacity, will contribute to time-saving passenger travelling, socialisation of transport tariffs, and improved quality of transportation.

Standard treatment for patients with diseases of the hip joint, accompanied by pain and restriction of movements, is joint replacement , which can significantly improve the quality of life of patients in this category were The object of the study, 120 pa-tients with coxarthrosis of both sexes aged 49-80 years who were on the surgical treatment in the Tula Oblast hospital in 2012, 2013. Analyzing the results obtained , we have identified some features of post-operative pain in response to the prosthetic hip joint. Pain impulses by VAS score of 4-7 patients after surgery under general endotracheal anesthesia , appeared after 20-40 minutes, and after epidural anesthesia and mixed for 20-50 minutes later. And the more pronounced these figures were in patients after surgery under general endotracheal anesthesia, and the temperature and oxygen saturation were significantly lower on the operated leg: the difference with the indicators on health reached 1-1.2 C0 and 1.5-2% respectively.

AbstractFractures of the posterior wall of the acetabulum occur in a frequency of 25 – 30%. Multifragmentary fractures involving 40 – 50% of the acetabular surface, the quality of reduction as well as involvement of cartilage and acetabular labrum are considered to have an impact on the development of a reduced posterior stability of the hip joint. This results in a shift of the main weight bearing area with development of a posttraumatic osteoarthritis. In the presented case, a 42-year old male patient was operated on 18 years ago due to a posterior acetabular wall fracture. Retrospectively, one of the screws was located partially intraarticular. However, the patient was asymptomatic over the 18-year period. The first consultation was due to unspecific symptoms of osteoarthritis of the right hip joint especially during flexion and external rotation. Due to only mild radiological signs of osteoarthritis, we indicated only the removal of the intraarticular screw. The symptoms postoperatively switched to a feeling of instability, so a total hip arthroplasty was performed. Since the operation, the patient is asymptomatic regarding the hip joint. The intraarticular screw seemed to stabilize the hip joint. This case demonstrates the importance of a good posterior guidance for the stability of the hip joint on one hand. On the other hand, it demonstrates the minor stress load of the posterior acetabular region, especially after fracture of the posterior wall. Therefore, a good posterior guidance should be one major aim of treatment of posterior acetabular wall fractures.

Abstract The author of the two-part article about evaluating reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD) responds to criticisms that a percentage impairment score may not adequately reflect the disability of an individual with RSD. The author highlights the importance of recognizing the difference between impairment and disability in the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment (AMA Guides): impairment is the loss, loss of use, or derangement of any body part, system, or function; disability is a decrease in or the loss or absence of the capacity to meet personal, social, or occupational demands or to meet statutory or regulatory requirements because of an impairment. The disparity between impairment and disability can be encountered in diverse clinical scenarios. For example, a person's ability to resume occupational activities following a major cardiac event depends on medical, social, and psychological factors, but nonmedical factors appear to present the greatest impediment and many persons do not resume work despite significant improvements in functional capacity. A key requirement according to the AMA Guides is objective documentation, and the author agrees that when physicians consider the disability evaluation of people, more issues than those relating to the percentage loss of function should be considered. More study of the relationships among impairment, disability, and quality of life in patients with RSD are required.

The construction and selection of a suitable bijective function, that is, substitution, is now becoming an important applied task, particularly for building block encryption systems. Many articles have suggested using different approaches to determining the quality of substitution, but most of them are highly computationally complex. The solution of this problem will significantly expand the range of methods for constructing and analyzing scheme in information protection systems. The purpose of research is to find easily measurable characteristics of substitutions, allowing to evaluate their quality, and also measures of the proximity of a particular substitutions to a random one, or its distance from it. For this purpose, several characteristics were proposed in this work: difference and polynomial, and their mathematical expectation was found, as well as variance for the difference characteristic. This allows us to make a conclusion about its quality by comparing the result of calculating the characteristic for a particular substitution with the calculated mathematical expectation. From a computational point of view, the thesises of the article are of exceptional interest due to the simplicity of the algorithm for quantifying the quality of bijective function substitutions. By its nature, the operation of calculating the difference characteristic carries out a simple summation of integer terms in a fixed and small range. Such an operation, both in the modern and in the prospective element base, is embedded in the logic of a wide range of functional elements, especially when implementing computational actions in the optical range, or on other carriers related to the field of nanotechnology.

The purpose of research: to improve the technology of growing flax in the Western region of Ukraine on the basis of the introduction of systems for minimizing tillage, which will increase the yield of trusts and seeds. Research methods: field, laboratory, visual and comparative calculation method. Research results: Field experiments included the study of three tillage systems (traditional, canning and mulching) and determining their impact on growth and development and yields of trusts and flax seeds. The traditional tillage system included the following operations: plowing with a reversible plow to a depth of 27 cm, cultivation with simultaneous harrowing and pre-sowing tillage. The conservation system is based on deep shelfless loosening of the soil and provided for chiseling to a depth of 40 cm, disking to a depth of 15 cm, cultivation with simultaneous harrowing, pre-sowing tillage. During the implementation of the mulching system, disking to a depth of 15 cm, cultivation with simultaneous harrowing and pre-sowing tillage with a combined unit was carried out. Tillage implements and machines were used to perform tillage operations: disc harrow BDVP-3,6, reversible plow PON-5/4, chisel PCh-3, cultivator KPSP-4, pre-sowing tillage unit LK-4. The SZ-3,6 ASTPA grain seeder was used for sowing long flax of the Kamenyar variety. Simultaneously with the sowing of flax seeds, local application of mineral fertilizers (nitroammophoska 2 c/ha) was carried out. The application of conservation tillage allows to obtain the yield of flax trust at the level of 3,5 t/ha, which is 0,4 t/ha (12.9 %) more than from the area of traditional tillage and 0,7 t/ha (25 %) in comparison with mulching. In the area with canning treatment, the seed yield was the highest and amounted to 0,64 t/ha. The difference between this option and traditional and mulching tillage reaches 0,06 t/ha (10,3 %) and 0.10 t/ha (18.5 %), respectively. Conclusions. Preservation tillage, which is based on shelf-free tillage to a depth of 40 cm and disking to a depth of 15 cm has a positive effect on plant growth and development, yield and quality of flax.

This study aimed to determine the effect of ovaprim hormone, aromatase inhibitor and pituitary on the quality of the catfish eggs (Clarias gariepinus). Experimental Design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments, each with three replications. Treatment A: ovaprim; treatment B: Aromatase inhibitors, treatment C: hypophysis and treatment D: Control. The results showed that the difference in treatment gave highly significant effect on fertilization and hatching eggs but no significant effect on the survival rate of larvae. Aromatase inhibitor hormone was the best because it provided highly significant effect on fertilization (92.66%), hatchability of eggs (95%), and surviva rate (81.33%) of fish larvae.   Keywords : Clarias gariepinus. The monitoring of water quality today provides a great quantity of data consisting of the values of the parameters measured as a function of time. In the marine environment, and especially in the suspended material, increasing importance is being given to the presence of organic micropollutants, particularly since some are known to be carcinogenic. As the number of measured parameters increases examining the data and their consequent interpretation becomes more difficult. To overcome such difficulties, numerous chemometric techniques have been introduced in environmental chemistry, such as Multivariate Data Analysis (MVDA), Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Partial Least Squares Regression (PLSR). The use of the first technique in this work has been applied to the interpretation of the quality of Augusta bay, by measuring the concentration of numerous organic micropollutants, together with the classical water pollution parameters, in different sites and at different times. The MVDA has highlighted the difference between various sampling sites whose data were initially thought to be similar. Furthermore, it has allowed a choice of more significant parameters for future monitoring and more suitable sampling site locations.

A dynamic model, which predicts non-steady variations in the sediment oxygen demand (SOD) and phosphate release rate, has been designed. This theoretical model consists of three diffusion equations with biochemical reactions for dissolved oxygen (DO), phosphate and ferrous iron. According to this model, step changes in the DO concentration and flow velocity produce drastic changes in the SOD and phosphate release rate within 10 minutes. The vigorous response of the SOD and phosphate release rate is caused by the difference in the time scale of diffusion in the water boundary layer and that of the biochemical reactions in the sediment. Secondly, a negative phosphate transfer from water to sediment can even occur under aerobic conditions. This is caused by the decrease in phosphate concentration in the aerobic layer due to adsorption.
