Scientific justification of the rate of gross savings is one of the key issues in the models of economic growth and a fundamental parameter of economic architectonics in the context of long-term dynamics of growth and structure of total demand. The article aims at demonstrating the genesis of the theory of the rate of gross savings beginning from the classics of political economy to theoretical justifications of the endogenization of the rate of savings in the models of economic growth as well as a detailed consideration of the components of gross savings with the analysis of the factors affecting its level (based on statistical data). It is exactly the empirical analysis that allows testing the validity of theoretical concepts and determining the correctness of the theorists' conclusions. The author shows a great gap between the classical view of the savings rate as a result of the action of natural law, which leads to self-regulation of the parameters of production reproduction, on the one hand, and the purely rational views shaped during the formation and development of the theory and models of economic growth, on the other. Empirical studies have shown that the rate of savings and the rate of capital ac-cumulation are different in the economies of different countries and depend on: the degree of government intervention in the distribution of gross disposable income between institutional sectors and in the structure of households by income level, the level of public social transfers, the depth of income misbalances and expenditure of the institutional sectors and, accordingly, their net borrowing and accumulated debt, as well as on the current phase of the economic cycle and quality of the investment environment. The practical relevance of the study is important to substantiate fiscal policy, especially regarding its impact on the level of gross savings in the non-financial corporations and government sectors, as well as the level of public social and capital expenditures.

Prioritizing tasks appropriately is particularly critical when performing multiple tasks concurrently. Although necessary to achieve one's goals or avoid serious consequences, prioritization has not received much attention in the research literature, especially with respect to modeling human performance computationally. A conceptual framework that integrates several motivational theories, empirical studies, and neuroscience research is proposed to guide future studies of dynamic prioritization in multiple-goal contexts. Rooted in control theory, the proposed framework illustrates self-regulation processes in prioritizing tasks and explicitly shows important factors affecting the prioritization process so that empirical results can be integrated into the framework and future studies can be inferred. By illustrating information flow in the self-regulation processes and the brain structures associated with prioritization, the framework should help facilitate development of robust computational models of task prioritization.

This elaboration undertakes the subject of the effectiveness of teaching in multi-grade classes on early school education level. This form of organising the education process, despite considerably quantitive contribution to organising work for the Polish school, it never has been and still is not a subject of particular interest of pedagogical theory and practice. The deliberations presented in this article are the result of empirical studies which have been being performed by the author for twenty years in schools environment functioning in multi-grade classroom system. The research results presented, on the one hand constitute, in the author’s opinion, a substantial complement of knowledge regarding functioning of early school education, and on the other hand, they represent an attempt of verification of a widely spread stereotype referred to the multi-grade classroom system, namely, organising the educational process in multi-grade classes determines low level of pupils’ school achievements who are enrolled in this system. Nothing could be further from the truth and it is proven by the analysis of research results presented in this elaboration.

The purpose of this study is to identify obstacles and success factors evident from empirical studies affecting strategy implementation and to provide an overview of the empirical literature. A systematic literature review (SLR) was used to analyze thirty-five peer-reviewed empirical articles. All of the 35 research papers selected in this review use primary data gathered from the organizations studied. This study of empirical research has identified 16 obstacles that can hinder strategy implementation and 18 success factors that can facilitate implementation. This study highlights factors that are dualistic, meaning that they contain both elements of obstacles and key success factors. The dualistic factors should therefore be considered in the strategy implementation process. Research gaps are identified. They include lack of studies on how to overcome obstacles to strategy on the one hand and on employee influence on implementation on the other. The differences among industries, countries, or cultures regarding implementation have not yet been explored at any depth. The paper adds to theoretical and practical knowledge based on the systematic overview it provides on strategy implementation from 1980 until 2020. The paper enriches the practical knowledge relevant to those implementing strategies, as it captures and identifies the dualistic factors affecting strategy implementation.

Data on the types of labor motivation, features of conscious selfregulation and adaptive abilities of subjects who are in a situation of changing the type of professional activity are presented. The role of these indicators in adapting to the situation of changing the type of professional activity is revealed. The purpose of the series of empirical studies is to test the model of the relationship between regulatory and motivational predictors of successful adaptation. The hypothesis of the research is the assumption that conscious self-regulation makes a significant contribution to the adaptation of the subject to a change in the type of professional activity and mediates the influence of motivational predictors. We discuss the empirical materials collected on a sample of subjects in a situation of changing the type of professional activity (unemployed, students of professional retraining programs, undergraduates) (N = 137). The analysis of the obtained data showed that the respondents, in the situation of changing the type of professional activity, have a predominant instrumental type of motivation (the validity of the labor price is important) and a predominantly low level of adaptive abilities. Conscious self-regulation is a system-forming factor in the system of predictors of adaptation. On the one hand, it allows you to compensate and overcome some limitations of work motivation, on the other — to act as a mediator of the influence of motivation on the results of adaptation

In this study, a new conception of the relationships between competitiveness, tourism, and economic growth is proposed. The naturally occurring or inherited tourism resources within the territory, together with productive resources and the relationships between them, are the determining elements of the capacity of the economy to grow. The analysis of this new conceptual framework implies the need to assess the productive factors on the one hand, and the tourism capital (TC) on the other, the latter being measured by some kind of indicator that is not affected by the productive factors. In this study, a TC index is developed for the first time in the literature. It is calculated for the Spanish provinces in 2014, by using synthetic indicators constructed from a weighted average of the initially proposed indicators, where the weight of each of these is obtained through a confirmatory factor analysis. The TC index may allow future empirical studies to analyze how tourism affects economic growth, in relation to other productive factors.

The empirical effects of entrepreneurship on economic growth through different channels have convinced researchers to coin entrepreneurship as an important indicator. While many studies are exploring the determinants of entrepreneurship, education is the one which is most studied. Empirical studies have discussed that no doubt education leads to entrepreneurship, but different levels of education have different effects. This study isolated different types of education and formed quadratic function in the expectation that the type and incidence of education may change the intentions and environment for the prospective entrepreneur. The estimates of feasible generalized least squares (FGLS) model using 103 countries show that all three levels of education form U-shaped relationship with entrepreneurship in the overall model. This study helps identify the current positioning of countries, suggesting policies with respect to a particular type of education.

The paper presents an overview of studies of the effects of inflation targeting on long-term economic growth. We analyze the potential channels of influence, as well as modern empirical studies that test performance of these channels. We compare the effects of different variants of inflation targeting (strict and mixed). Based on the analysis recommendations on the choice of optimal (in terms of stimulating long-term growth) regime of monetary policy in developed and developing economies are formulated.

ABSTRACT There is no doubt about the key role of ICT in the interaction and communication processes among students. ICT are thought as a mean for the reflection and self-regulation of students´ activity, which is in a permanent conscientious comparison between the perception a student has about him/herself and the one he/she nego-tiates with the rest of students, advisors and society in general terms. In this context, ICT should promote a positive influence on student formation in formal and non-formal spaces. The conditionals related to spaces combined support and union in the diversity of technological and didactical resources should guide every activity having students at the center of its conception. It is no longer about integrating ICT to the formation process making it formal and standardized. The chal-lenge on autonomous language learning evaluation with ICT has to do with making the differences through personal characteristics of students, their learning styles, previous experiences and affective schemas. In this paper the use of ICT is structured by means of a PLE frame for the evaluation of English autonomous language learning. It is a scaffolding of people, procedures, interaction spaces, and technological and didac-tical resources. Its components are weakly coupled by technologies and highly cohesive by the meaningful connections students establish among them. Keywords: Learning, Autonomy, Evaluation, Environment, Personal. Recibido: septiembre de 2016Aprobado: noviembre de 2016
