The Way

A series of experiments have been done to evaluate the way an electrode wire feed affects residual stresses in welded joints. It was found that an electrode wire pulse feed combined with shielding gases decreases residual stresses up to two times in comparison with welding with a continuous feed of an electrode wire.

Some features of underwater mechanized and automatic wet welding with pulse feed of the electrode wire are considered. The conditions for experimental research to identify the parameters of forming of the weld metal at different parameters of pulse feed of the electrode wire are described. Regression equations describing the dependences of the size of the roll on the parameters of pulse feed and contour plots and response surfaces of the marked dependences are presented.

A number of problems, related to synergetic control of the process of the arc mechanized and automatic welding with the regulated pulse feed of the electrode wire, are considered. It is noted, that the known systems with a synergetic control due to the impulse algorithms of operation of modern structures sources can be replaced by more simple and less power-intensive systems with the use of the controlled pulse feed of electrode wire. It is determined, that in the systems with the controlled pulse feed of electrode wire the various structures of feed-backs are used on the parameters of an arc process. It is shown, that the required component of feed-back structure in the considered process is a feed-back on the welding current.
