Data on tourism represent a basic indicator of the tourist market situation. The very course of the development of a tourist destination, the distribution of tourist resources, as well as the possibility of implementing changes in the tourist offer, all depend upon this data. Strong competition and the increasingly demanding visitors cause the responsible authorities to conduct constant planning and coordination. The term "tourist planning" implies an integral and strategic planning which includes: destination analysis, defining goals, adoption of strategies and programs, planning of land usage, organization of market, defining the desirable economic effect of tourism, and the cooperation of all subjects in the tourist offer. The efficacy of such planning reflects in the tourism indicators which serve as a framework for the assessment of an existing situation and the forming of management guidelines. One of the most relevant indicators of conditions is the opinion of tourists who rate the advantages and the shortcomings of tourist offer in the area which they visit, as well as the opinion of the indigenous population which participates in the creation of the tourist offer. The results of this paper are based upon the conducted survey among the visitors of sport-recreational centres Čajuša and Stožer, and the indigenous population of Kupres municipality. The structural characteristics of the examinees and the values of the actual opinions on the tourist offer have been determined. The perceived discrepancies in the answers from Croatian and domestic visitors indicate a tradition of visiting similar European destinations. The increase in number of tourists by 50% has been achieved in the last several years, primarily thanks to the snowmaking on the ski slopes, but also due to an improved tourist offer (ski courses, ski-lifts, ski kindergarten, snowboard slopes, traditional food, etc.). Although the pre-war tourist capacities still wait for a renewal, the foreign investments rapidly restructure the tourist offer and have a positive impact on the economy. The use of GIS technology has allowed a simple analysis and data storage, making it possible to create a cartographic visualization. Thus, an accuracy in data presentation has been ensured, and each of the attractive factors in tourism has been associated with attribute data in the database. This type of planning guarantees a more responsible and efficient management of resources of a tourist destination and is crucial for the overall economic development of an area

Research background.Currently, gambling tourism is one of the most popular forms of leisure allacross the globe. It is apparent that, when a business as lucrative as gambling has something to dowith thedevelopment of tourism, its impact on a tourist destination, both current and future, can be impressive.Research into this type of tourism reveals an interrelationship between gambling tourism and certain social-economic variables in the development of tourist destinations–the gambling business can be a crucialcomponent in the attractiveness of tourist destinations and facilitate economic stability and prosperity in thearea. The development of gambling tourism is regarded as a restarting andrenewing factor for thedevelopment of tourism destinations which can potentially facilitate their development through thereinvestment of revenue into their economic and political culture.Issues in the development of touristdestinations and gambling tourism have been examined in works byW.M.Abbott, A.A.Volberg (2006),А.Alegria (2014), L.Caneday, J.Zeiger (1991), M.C.Hall (2008), R.Harrill (2003), S.K.Kang,C.K.Leeb, Y.Yoonb, P.T.Long (2008), T.K.Lee, C.K.Lee (2014), A.A.Ligthelm(2009)and others.Research aims. The study aims to assess the potential of gambling tourism as a factor in thedevelopment of tourist destinations through the example of Greater Sochi.Inferences. The development of a tourist destination requires formingsome kind of supply, with theprocess of planning and development of gambling tourism approached based on integrated analysis, including by the local community. Taking into account the foreign experience of sustainable development oftourist destinations via the economic and social effects of gambling tourism, this impact ought to be assessedusing a model for establishing a balance between revenue and expenditure. The tourist destination of the city of Sochi as a tourism product is unique, with its peculiarities, various attractions, its original environment, culture, and history. Researchers, who generallyhave beenpositive in their assessments of the economic effect from creating a gambling zone, have also been stressingthe need to use this tool judiciously and competently. The assessment of Sochi by representatives of itsbusiness community and public as a gambling tourist destination is mixed. At the moment, the prospects of agambling zone in Sochi are quite undecided, as no site has been determinedfor the zone, there is a lack ofinvestors willing to do it, and there is no developed concept for the formation and development of agambling zone in Sochi.Gambling tourism could produce a positive impact, since it could attract well-off tourists duringtheoff-peak season. Immune to seasonality, it could ensure tourism flows all year round. Gambling tours, as acomponent in the destination’s tourism product, could help diversify and improve tourism products andservices, which would help attract new tourists and foster a new image for the destination, with a view toboosting its competitiveness. Keywords: leisure, gambling tourism, destination, gambling business, city of Sochi.

For more than half a century bicycle transport demonstrates its effectiveness as one of the elements of the transport network of the city. Currently, vehicles with low-power motors such as electric bicycle, electric scooter, gyrometer, segway, wheelbarrow, scooter motor and others are gaining people's attention. These vehicles can be combined into a group of low-speed individual vehicles (hereinafter - NITS) with similar re-quirements for the operational parameters of urban infrastructure. From the urban point of view, the interest in NITC is that the number of its users has increased significantly in recent years. The article presents the results of a sociological survey of residents of Serpukhov, allowing to assess the current and potential readi-ness of the population to use NITC. The growing popularity of NITC has led to an increase in the environmen-tal and economic effect, which is manifested at a particular level of development of the movement on NITC. The ecological and economic effect of the use of NITC has an extremely positive impact on the improvement of the urban environment. This article provides a list of indicators that reflect the growth in the standards of living of society from movement by the NITC, and the calculation of one of them - the increase in entrepre-neurial activity on the streets with increased traffic to the NITC. Indicators are necessary for calculation of complex criterion of efficiency and safety of street network due to development of the movement by NITC. The result will allow public authorities authorized to make decisions on the strategy of transport policy of cities to quantify the ratio of economic benefits from the development of infrastructure of the NITC with the cost of its construction and operation.

Abstract The Development of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) has recently been changing almost every aspect of society and economy. Within the new technologies, Internet with has impacted the interactivity between people and the variety of products and brands. When the discussion is not simply about a common product/service, but about a tourist destination, the concepts of marketing and ICTs are even more intertwined. An important aspect of tourist destination marketing is its branding. Destination Branding concept is very important because it make possible for a destination to differentiate from competitors through an unique name and identification in the perception that the target market will have. The aim of this paper is to investigate the impact that Internet has in destination branding, especially for relatively new destinations. The role of Internet is present through a variety of tools, such as web-sites, e-mail, social networks, blogging etc. We will bring the Albanian Case as a new destination to illustrate how the use of Internet and its related tools has helped in constructing a good brand image. Nowadays people find themselves firstly searching for information online about the destinations they want to visit, through Internet and the various platforms, so they are becoming very important as means for branding a destination. Many Internet elements can make a difference in branding if included as needed in the e-marketing strategy of companies that are making the important work about destination branding. The most important elements that have a positive impact in Albania, are content and keywords of Websites and a good level of sharing with social media. While there is much more to do with forms such as blogging, very important tools in SEO and the use of the right elements to raise brand awareness and differentiation.

<p><span>Fiber-optic cables form an integral part of modern telecommunications infrastructure and are ubiquitous in particular in regions where dedicated seismic instrumentation is traditionally sparse or lacking entirely. Fiber-optic seismology promises to enable affordable and time-extended observations of earth and environmental processes at an unprecedented temporal and spatial resolution. The method’s unique potential for combined large-N and large-T observations implies intriguing opportunities but also significant challenges in terms of data storage, data handling and computation.</span></p><p><span>Our goal is to enable real-time data enhancement, rapid signal detection and wave field characterization without the need for time-demanding user interaction. We therefore combine coherent wave field analysis, an optics-inspired processing framework developed in controlled-source seismology, with state-of-the-art deep convolutional neural network (CNN) architectures commonly used in visual perception. While conventional deep learning strategies have to rely on manually labeled or purely synthetic training datasets, coherent wave field analysis labels field data based on physical principles and enables large-scale and purely data-driven training of the CNN models. The shear amount of data already recorded in various settings makes artificial data generation by numerical modeling superfluous – a task that is often constrained by incomplete knowledge of the embedding medium and an insufficient description of processes at or close to the surface, which are challenging to capture in integrated simulations.</span></p><p><span>Applications to extensive field datasets acquired with dark-fiber infrastructure at a geothermal field in SW Iceland and in a town at the flank of Mt Etna, Italy, reveal that the suggested framework generalizes well across different observational scales and environments, and sheds new light on the origin of a broad range of physically distinct wave fields that can be sensed with fiber-optic technology. Owing to the real-time applicability with affordable computing infrastructure, our analysis lends itself well to rapid on-the-fly data enhancement, wave field separation and compression strategies, thereby promising to have a positive impact on the full processing chain currently in use in fiber-optic seismology.</span></p>

The architecture of a congestion-management system (CMS) based on global positioning system–geographic information system (GPS-GIS) technology is presented. This CMS is applicable to a road network composed of freeways and principal arterials. The focus is on the CMS structure for controlled-access facilities, which compose the freeway component of the corridor network. The CMS is based on the use of GPS for route identification and traffic monitoring and on GIS for data storage, retrieval, and visualization. A method that allows aggregation of GPS data using highway segments not exceeding 0.32 km (0.2 mi) in length is implemented. Such a method results in considerable savings in data storage needs and provides consistency for analyzing a variety of traffic scenarios. Data collection procedures, data reduction procedures, and data reporting procedures are described.

This article investigates the efficiency of the matching process by panel stochastic frontier estimation of the matching function in Croatia. The empirical analysis is conducted on a regional level using regional office-level monthly data obtained from the Croatian Employment Service for 2000–2011. The results suggest that the efficiency of the matching process is rising over time, although with significant regional variations. In order to explore these variations, structural characteristics of the labour market together with some policy variables are included in the second-stage estimation. Various structural variables have different impact on the matching efficiency, while policy variables are mostly positively correlated with it. For instance, both active labour market programs and the number of high-skilled employees in regional employment offices positively affect matching efficiency. Additionally, when regional income per capita is included in the model, it shows positive impact on the matching efficiency, indicating that demand fluctuations predominantly affect the matching process. Finally, in order to get consistent estimates, panel stochastic frontier model transformation is applied. The obtained results show that there is no major difference in estimated mean technical efficiency coefficients in comparison to the original estimation.
