Achievements in the area of automated ultrasonic control of quality of rails, solid-rolled wheels and tyres, wheels magnetic powder crack detection, carried out at JSC EVRAZ NTMK. The 100% nondestructive control is accomplished by automated control in series at two ultrasonic facilities RWI-01 and four facilities УМКК-1 of magnetic powder control, installed into the exit control line in the wheel-tyre shop. Diagram of location, converters displacement and control operations in the process of control at the facility RWI-01 presented, as well as the structural diagram of the facility УМКК-1. The automated ultrasonic control of rough tyres is made in the tyres control line of the wheel-tyre shop at the facility УКБ-1Д. The facility enables to control internal defects of tyres in radial, axis and circular directions of radiation. Possibilities of the facility УКБ-1Д software were shown. Nondestructive control of railway rails is made at two facilities, comprising the automated control line of the rail and structural shop. The УКР-64Э facility of automated ultrasonic rails control is intended to reveal defects in the area of head, web and middle part of rail foot by pulse echo-method with a immersion acoustic contact. The diagram of rail P65 at the facility УКР-64Э control presented. To reveal defects of the macrostructure in the area of rail head and web by mirror-shadow method, an ultrasonic noncontact electromagnetic-acoustic facility is used. It was noted, that implementation of the 100% nondestructive control into the technology of rolled stuff production enabled to increase the quality of products supplied to customers and to increase their competiveness.

AbstractUsing the acclimated activated sludge from the pulping middle-stage effluent, the effect of pH shock on the micro-oxygen activated sludge system with a nano-magnetic powder/graphene oxide composite was studied. The results showed that the removal rates of chemical oxygen demand (CODCr) and ultraviolet adsorption at 254 nm (UV254) decreased. Also, the sludge settling performance was poor due to the impact of pH, but the impact resistance of nano-magnetic powder/graphene oxide group (MGO group) was higher and the recovery was faster. Results of high throughput sequencing indicated that the diversity of microbial community was reduced by the impact of pH, but it was significantly higher in MGO group than in the blank group. The dominant bacteria after pH shock or recovery in both of the system had a large difference. The percentage of the dominant bacteria in the MGO group was higher than that in the blank group. The MGO group had higher electron transfer system (ETS) activity which made the system having a strong pH impact resistance.

The effect of magnetic powders and powders loading on magnetic properties and mechanical properties of magnetic rubbers were studied. The natural rubber with magnetic powders, Barium ferrite, Neodymium iron boron, were used as starting materials to prepare magnetic rubbers. Barium ferrite (BaO.6F2O3) powders had been sintered at 1285 oC for 30 hours to improve its crystal structure. The physical properties of magnetic rubbers, residual flux density (Br), coercive force (Hc), maximum energy product (BHmax), hardness and density, had a trend to increase as enhancing magnetic powders loading. However, some properties such as, intrinsic coercive force (Hci), tensile strength and elongation at break, had a trend to decrease when the magnetic powder loading was increased. Magnetic properties of the anisotropic type, sintered powders, were higher than isotropic type, non-sintered powders, except the Hci because anisotropic magnetic rubber indicated crystal orientation in the same direction.
