AbstractMusic may have a strong influence on literature. Many novels have reflected this by thematizing music in many different ways. However, this engagement can also adopt the form of an imitation or a formal presence that does not actually require the text to say anything about music. This paper aims to explore some aspects of musical imitation in literature that have not been analyzed in depth. Departing from the approach developed by Werner Wolf, I propose a distinction between imitating and imitated elements that applies to any case of study. Furthermore, at the core of this article, I advocate for a fourth dimension that the imitation of music in literature may have and that should be added to word music, formal and structural analogies, and imaginary content analogies. I call this fourth category “graphic analogies.” It implies an imitation whose imitating element is the graphic, written aspect of the linguistic signifier. Finally, this leads to the idea that, in the case of the imitation of music in literature, there is not a necessary correlation between imitating and imitated elements.

The study of attitudes formation and attitude change are two defining features at the core of social psychology. An attitude is a set of beliefs that people hold in relation to an attitude object, where an attitude object is a person, a product, or a social group. Since attitudes have been a strong influence on human behavior, social psychologists have viewed attitudes as important to understand behavior of individuals. Firstly, the chapter will introduce the concept of attitude with social psychological perspective. Attitude formation is important to understand to know why people hold different attitudes and how attitudes help to predict their behavior. In the second section, distinct ways of attitudes formation are discussed. It is also important to understand how attitudes influence in decision making, which is also discussed in the next section of the chapter. In the later section, changing processes of attitudes have been discussed.

Numerical investigations for the interacting flow fields of primary and secondary nozzles confirm, that for high by-pass turbofans there is a strong influence of the fan flow on the discharge and thrust coefficients of the core nozzle and of the fan afterbody shape on the coefficients of the fan nozzle. After a review of standard methods two new parameters to correlate the thrust of different concepts are proposed and investigations into flight conditions are put forward. Several nozzle coefficients derived from the integrated velocity profiles and the static pressure field are necessary to assess the quality of nozzle flow.

The research aims to describe and know the extent of interest in waching television and its relationships with students. The problem that undertakes this research is that students today are called with millenials who are increasingly less than expected by parents and teachers, so it is very alarming about the next generation of the nation as the core pillars, whether stonger or even weaker. The subject in this study was a student at SMP Islam Nurush Shodiqin Bogor Regency which was taken through random samples from class VII, VIII and IX consisting of 35 students. While the object of this research is the whole in the habituation and daily students both at home and in school to parents and teachers. The data-sling technique is done by observation, documentation interviews and quetionnairs or polls to get results related to watching television and it relationship to morality. The study used the correlation formula products moments to look for the second influence of the variable scores. The results of the research that can be taken in this study, namely : first, the result in the validity test on the variable X1 is said to be valid for the value of 15 question items result above the value or R table is 0,282. Secondly, the results in the reusability test on Cronchbach’s Alpha are value due to the value in X variables above 0.6 namely 0.895 and variable Y 0.911 ie Thirdly, to provide interpretation of rxy can be been obtained rxy 0.853 if viewed from the interprestation table then the number of correlation index obtained (ie = 0.853), it is located between 0.70 – 0.90. Therefore, the data can be expressed there is a strong influence on the importance of watching the interest or television and its relation to the generation of millennials case studies at SMP Nurush Shodiqin. Keywords : intereset in watching television, morals of millennial generation Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan mengetahui sejauh mana minat menonton televisi dan hubungannya terhadap akhlak siswa. Keywords : Minat Menonton Televisi, Akhlak Generasi Milenial.

Interaction between two conical sheets of liquid formed by a coaxial swirl injector has been studied using water in the annular orifice and potassium permanganate solution in the inner orifice. Experiments using photographic techniques have been conducted to study the influence of the inner jet on outer conical sheet spray characteristics such as spray cone angle and break-up length. The core spray has a strong influence on the outer sheet when the pressure drop in the latter is low. This is attributed to the pressure variations caused by ejector effects. This paper also discusses the merging and separation behavior of the liquid sheets which exhibits hysteresis effect while injector pressure drop is varied.

It is unusual for any speech to maintain strong influence over the general strategies of an organization and the behavior of its employees over time. ‘Haier Is a Sea’, presented by Zhang Ruimin, the chief executive officer (CEO) of Haier, more than twenty years ago, is an exception. This commentary identifies the core features of sea as a metaphor, explores the philosophical roots of this metaphor, and discusses the implications.

Self-concept is the core of individual personality, which plays a role in determining and directing individual behavior. Self-concept cannot be separated from virtuous values that arise from self-identity. This article discusses the philosophy of life and the cultural values of the Banjar people "baiman, bauntung, batuah" which are used to conceptualize themselves. The values obtained from the strong influence of Islamic teachings on the Banjar people. The dominance of Islam in the Banjar community is undoubtedly, in the process of 'becoming a Banjar', many Dayak ethnic groups are 'becoming Banjars when they convert to Islam. In addition to this article discussing one of the unique cultural forms of Banjar people, the culture of the river, in the form of river transportation, pasar terapung, and rumah lanting, has begun to be neglected.

Abstract The target article carefully describes the memory system, centered on the temporal lobe that builds specific memory traces. It does not, however, mention the laterality effects that exist within this system. This commentary briefly surveys evidence showing that clear asymmetries exist within the temporal lobe structures subserving the core system and that the right temporal structures mainly underpin face familiarity feelings.

The authors have investigated the dissolution process of human cholesterol gallstones using a scanning electron microscope(SEM). This study was carried out by comparing control gallstones incubated in beagle bile with gallstones obtained from patients who were treated with chenodeoxycholic acid(CDCA).The cholesterol gallstones for this study were obtained from 14 patients. Three control patients were treated without CDCA and eleven patients were treated with CDCA 300-600 mg/day for periods ranging from four to twenty five months. It was confirmed through chemical analysis that these gallstones contained more than 80% cholesterol in both the outer surface and the core. The specimen were obtained from the outer surface and the core of the gallstones. Each specimen was attached to alminum sheet and coated with carbon to 100Å thickness. The SEM observation was made by Hitachi S-550 with 20 kV acceleration voltage and with 60-20, 000X magnification.

The fat body of insects has always been compared functionally to the liver of vertebrates. Both synthesize and store glycogen and lipid and are concerned with the formation of blood proteins. The comparison becomes even more apt with the discovery of microbodies and the localization of urate oxidase and catalase in insect fat body. The microbodies are oval to spherical bodies about 1μ across with a depression and dense core on one side. The core is made of coiled tubules together with dense material close to the depressed membrane. The tubules may appear loose or densely packed but always intertwined like liquid crystals, never straight as in solid crystals (Fig. 1). When fat body is reacted with diaminobenzidine free base and H2O2 at pH 9.0 to determine the distribution of catalase, electron microscopy shows the enzyme in the matrix of the microbodies (Fig. 2). The reaction is abolished by 3-amino-1, 2, 4-triazole, a competitive inhibitor of catalase. The fat body is the only tissue which consistantly reacts positively for urate oxidase. The reaction product is sharply localized in granules of about the same size and distribution as the microbodies. The reaction is inhibited by 2, 6, 8-trichloropurine, a competitive inhibitor of urate oxidase.

Grains of pigeonite, a calcium-poor silicate mineral of the pyroxene group, from the Whin Sill dolerite have been ion-thinned and examined by TEM. The pigeonite is strongly zoned chemically from the composition Wo8En64FS28 in the core to Wo13En34FS53 at the rim. Two phase transformations have occurred during the cooling of this pigeonite:- exsolution of augite, a more calcic pyroxene, and inversion of the pigeonite from the high- temperature C face-centred form to the low-temperature primitive form, with the formation of antiphase boundaries (APB's). Different sequences of these exsolution and inversion reactions, together with different nucleation mechanisms of the augite, have created three distinct microstructures depending on the position in the grain. In the core of the grains small platelets of augite about 0.02μm thick have farmed parallel to the (001) plane (Fig. 1). These are thought to have exsolved by homogeneous nucleation. Subsequently the inversion of the pigeonite has led to the creation of APB's.
