AbstractIn this paper we study the modified equal width-Burgers equation, which describes long wave propagation in nonlinear media with dispersion and dissipation. Using the Lie symmetry method in conjunction with the (G'/G)− expansion method we construct its travelling wave solutions. Also, we determine the conservation laws by invoking the new conservation theorem due to Ibragimov. As a result we obtain energy and linear momentum conservation laws.

In this paper, the problem of constructing the Lie point symmetries group of the nonlinear partial differential equation appeared in mathematical physics known as the generalized KdV-Like equation is discussed. By using the Lie symmetry method for the generalized KdV-Like equation, the point symmetry operators are constructed and are used to reduce the equation to another fractional ordinary differential equation based on Erdélyi-Kober differential operator. The symmetries of this equation are also used to construct the conservation Laws by applying the new conservation theorem introduced by Ibragimov. Furthermore, another type of solutions is given by means of power series method and the convergence of the solutions is provided; also, some graphics of solutions are plotted in 3D.

With the aid of symbolic computation and the extended F-expansion method, we construct more general types of exact non-travelling wave solutions of the (2+1)-dimensional dispersive long wave system. These solutions include single and combined Jacobi elliptic function solutions, rational solutions, hyperbolic function solutions, and trigonometric function solutions.

We analyze the(3+1)-dimensional Boussinesq equation, which has applications in fluid mechanics. We find exact solutions of the(3+1)-dimensional Boussinesq equation by utilizing the Lie symmetry method along with the simplest equation method. The solutions obtained are traveling wave solutions. Moreover, we construct the conservation laws of the(3+1)-dimensional Boussinesq equation using the new conservation theorem, which is due to Ibragimov.

AbstractIn this paper we study a nonlinear multi-dimensional partial differential equation, namely, a generalized second extended (3+1)-dimensional Jimbo-Miwa equation. We perform symmetry reductions of this equation until it reduces to a nonlinear fourth-order ordinary differential equation. The general solution of this ordinary differential equation is obtained in terms of the Weierstrass zeta function. Also travelling wave solutions are derived using the simplest equation method. Finally, the conservation laws of the underlying equation are computed by employing the conservation theorem due to Ibragimov, which include conservation of energy and conservation of momentum laws.

In this work, a Lie group reduction for a (2 + 1) dimensional fractional Kadomtsev-Petviashvili (KP) system is determined by using the Lie symmetry method with Riemann Liouville derivative. After reducing the system into a two-dimensional nonlinear fractional partial differential system (NLFPDEs), the power series (PS) method is applied to obtain the exact solution. Further the obtained power series solution is analyzed for convergence. Then, using the new conservation theorem with a generalized Noether’s operator, the conservation laws of the KP system are obtained.

In this article, a generalized (G´/G)-expansion method is used to find exact travelling wave solutions of the Burgers equation and the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation with variable coefficients. As a result, hyperbolic, trigonometric, and rational function solutions with parameters are obtained. When these parameters are taking special values, the solitary wave solutions are derived from the hyperbolic function solution. It is shown that the proposed method is direct, effective, and can be applied to many other nonlinear evolution equations in mathematical physics.

We study a nonlinear evolution partial differential equation, namely, the (2+1)-dimensional Boussinesq equation. For the first time Lie symmetry method together with simplest equation method is used to find the exact solutions of the (2+1)-dimensional Boussinesq equation. Furthermore, the new conservation theorem due to Ibragimov will be utilized to construct the conservation laws of the (2+1)-dimensional Boussinesq equation.

The purpose of this article is to present an analytical method, namely the improved F -expansion method combined with the Riccati equation, for finding exact solutions of nonlinear evolution equations. The present method is capable of calculating all branches of solutions simultaneously, even if multiple solutions are very close and thus difficult to distinguish with numerical techniques. To verify the computational efficiency, we consider the modified Benjamin–Bona–Mahony equation and the modified Korteweg-de Vries equation. Our results reveal that the method is a very effective and straightforward way of formulating the exact travelling wave solutions of nonlinear wave equations arising in mathematical physics and engineering.

The investigation of the exact solutions of NLPDEs plays an im- portant role for the understanding of most nonlinear physical phenomena. Also, the exact solutions of this equations aid the numerical solvers to assess the correctness of their results. In this paper, (G'/G)-expansion method is pre- sented to construct exact solutions of the Perturbed Wadati-Segur-Ablowitz equation. Obtained the exact solutions are expressed by the hyperbolic, the trigonometric and the rational functions. All calculations have been made with the aid of Maple program. It is shown that the proposed algorithm is elemen- tary, e¤ective and has been used for many PDEs in mathematical physics.
