Second Order Boundary Value Problems with Nonlinear Two-Point Boundary Conditions

Abstract The existence results obtained for the Dirichlet and mixed BVPs for the equation x ″ = f (t, x, x′) are extended to BVPs with full nonlinear conditions. The proofs are based on the theorem of Granas, Guenther and Lee, while barrier strips are used to obtain a priori bounds for solutions.

In this paper, taking into account the recent contractive technique we present a new result of Presic type fixed point theorems. Then, we provide a comparative example to put forth the validity of our theoretical result. Finally, considering a special case of the main theorem, we give some existence results for the second order two point boundary value problems.
