Abstract The theory linking the development of mental disorders with the processes of human evolution assumes that these disorders may be the result of a side effect of natural and sexual selection processes. Creativity is one of the adaptive features associated with the increased incidence of psychopathological symptoms (as compared to the general population). In this review paper, the definition of creativity has been characterized, and contemporary existing theories on its background, have been presented. Also, the paper describes the relationship between creativity and the presence of psychopathological symptoms. Special attention has been paid to the relationship between creativity and bipolar disorder. The research results prove the existence of a correlation between a high level of creativity and a higher prevalence of psychopathological symptoms, particularly concerning the symptoms of bipolar disorder spectrum.

The article introduces a new term in Russian science — territorial loyalty, which is a specific perceptual-behavioral phenomenon. The definition of this term is given, the relevance of the study, due to the existing research contradictions identified by the author, is substantiated, and an analogy with another loyalty type — organizational — is drawn. A comparison of organizational and territorial loyalty with reliance on the empirical research results leads to the idea of another perceptualbehavioral phenomenon — emotional burnout, the formation of which the individual affects its loyalty — organizational or territorial. The article gives a brief description of the author’s research tools pilot version for assessing the territorial loyalty, and also describes the questionnaire, which is one of the most Russian famous tools for studying emotional burnout. A pilot study of the relationship between emotional burnout and territorial loyalty was conducted on a small sample included 15 respondents (educational system employees and university students), in connection with which a quantitative data analysis was carried out using non-parametric methods. As a result, with a high level of statistical significance, it was found that the severity of territorial loyalty of non-burnt respondents is lower than the severity of this phenomenon in individuals characterized by an average, high or critical emotional burnout level, that is, the existence of a relationship between emotional burnout and territorial loyalty is confirmed. In addition, further research areas have been outlined: for example, the question remains as to which of the considered indicators is a predictor and which is a dependent variable

Wastewater stabilization ponds (WSPs) have been proven to be economical alternatives to conventional wastewater treatment technologies due to their unique advantages including ease of operation, minimal energy input, and minimal maintenance requirements. Their reported high pathogen removal efficiencies have made WSPs a popular choice for wastewater treatment, especially as tertiary lagoons. This paper provides a critical overview of the various disinfection processes and mechanisms that occur in WSPs. A thorough review of the removal or attenuation mechanisms for bacterial, viral, protozoan, and helminthic pathogens is presented. Factors that impact the removal efficiency of pathogenic organisms may include sunlight, pH, dissolved oxygen, temperature, sedimentation, attachment, hydraulic retention time, pond depth, predation and nutrient availability; the relationship between these factors is also discussed. The purpose of this review paper is to utilize the current understanding of pathogen removal mechanisms in pond systems to improve the operation and design of WSPs, and more importantly, to provide guidance for the definition of regulations with respect to pathogen removal in eco-engineered wastewater treatment systems such as WSPs.

The article presents a study of the peculiarities of self-conception of patients with paranoid schizophrenia with consideration of gender differences and the period of remission, the relationship of self-conception to other emotional and psychological factors and the peculiarities of protective and coping behavior. The results obtained indicate that, during remission of the examinees, the examined parameters of self-conception are primarily within the normal range, they use different relatively adaptive coping mechanisms most often. The examinees showed a sufficiently high level of resilience, a favorable emotional background and absence of expressed discomfort. In case of positive self-conception, regardless of the period of remission, a high level of involvement, risk taking and resilience, low values of anxiety, hostility and psychoticism are noted. For men, a high level of self-conception is associated with a high level of involvement and resilience and low levels on the scales of psychopathological symptoms. Women with a high level of self-conception are noted for a high level of resilience, willingness to take risks but at the same time they have high expression of various psychopathological symptoms. Thus, the results of the study allow to say to hold a variety of rehabilitation measures. For greater efficiency of these activities, the group can be formed regardless of the period of remission but with considering of characteristics of the self-protective and coping behavior according to gender.

AbstractBackground: Comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation (CR) is a process designed to restore full physical, psychological and social activity and to reduce cardiovascular risk factors. Fear of movement may contribute to the occurrence and intensification of hypokinesia, and consequently affect the effectiveness of therapy. The aim of the study was to determine the level of barriers of physical activity in patients undergoing cardiac rehabilitation. The relationship between selected determinants (age and health selfassessment) and the kinesiophobia level were also examined.Material/Methods: 115 people aged 40-84 years were examined: 50 females (x = 63.46; SD = 11.19) and 65 males (x = 64.65; SD = 10.59) - patients undergoing cardiac rehabilitation at the Upper-Silesian Medical Centre in Katowice. In the present study, the Polish version of questionnaires: Kinesiophobia Causes Scale (KCS) and Short Form Health Survey (SF-36) were used. Questionnaires were supplemented by authors’ short survey. Results: The patients presented an elevated level of kinesiophobia, both in general as well as in individual components. In women, the kinesiophobia level was higher than in men. The psychological domain was a greater barrier of physical activity than the biological one. Strong, negative correlations of psychological and biological domains of kinesiophobia to physical functioning (SF-36) were noted in women. In the case of men, correlations were weaker, but also statistically significant. Conclusions: 1. Sex differentiates patients in their kinesiophobia level 2. Poor self-assessment of health is associated with a greater intensification of kinesiophobia 3. A high level of kinesiophobia may negatively affect cardiac rehabilitation process

The qualitative and clear definition of the legal regime of the capital of Ukraine, the hero city of Kyiv, is influenced by its legislative enshrinement, however, it should be noted that discussions are ongoing and one of the reasons for the unclear legal status of the capital is the ambiguity of current legislation in this area. Separation of the functions of the city of Kyiv, which are carried out to ensure the rights of citizens of Ukraine and the functions that guarantee the rights of the territorial community of the city of Kyiv. In the modern world, in legal doctrine and practice, the capital is understood as the capital of the country, which at the legislative level received this status and, accordingly, is the administrative and political center of the state, which houses the main state bodies and diplomatic missions of other states. It is the identification of the boundaries of the relationship between the competencies of state administrations and local self-government, in practice, often raises questions about their delimitation and ways of regulatory solution. Peculiarities of local self-government in Kyiv city districts are defined in the provisions of the Law on the Capital, which reveal the norms of the Constitution in these legal relations, according to which the issue of organizing district management in cities belongs to city councils. Likewise, it is unregulated by law to lose the particularity of the legal status of the territory of the city. It should be emphasized that the subject of administrative-legal relations is not a certain administrative-territorial entity, but the social group is designated - the territorial community of the city of Kiev, kiyani. Thus, the provisions on the city of Kyiv partially ignore the potential of the territorial community.
