To deal with broken cars on the road, a towing car booking system using android operating system is made. By using GIS (Geographic Information System) for the development, ensuring the location of the customer become easier. Meanwhile, the towing car booking management application is developed using PHP programming language. Data management in this application uses the MySQL database engine. While GPRS (General Pocket Radio System) channel is used for sending customer data. This application is designed using the UML (Unified Modeling Language) which is suitable for modeling applications developed with object-oriented language (OOP). In this towing car booking application, the android application acts as a client while the web application as a server which is used by the operator of the towing car company in managing data orders from customers. This application has successfully designed and implemented, it is concluded that the system built has benefits for driver, the system interface built has a simple display and easy to use by users, and the system has running well functionality. Therefore, it can be a reference for android application developers who have integration concept between android and web applications.

Road safety campaigns and programs have been extensively introduced and implemented in Malaysia. However, their effectiveness is still being debated. Children especially will become the unfortunate victims of road accidents if they are unaware of the danger and precaution actions to be safe on the road. In response to that, this paper introduces an application as an alternative that inculcates road safety awareness to further support existing related programs and campaigns. Particularly, an interactive web application incorporating interactive multimedia elements has been designed and evaluated. Results on the usability test indicate a promising success and highlight aspects and issues that can be further focused for improvement and enhancement.

The paper aims at introducing an advanced delivery tour planner to support operators in urban delivery operations through a combined approach which chooses delivery bays and delivery time windows while optimizing the delivery routes. After a literature review on tools for the management and the control of the delivery system implemented for optimizing the usage of on-street delivery bays, a prototypical tour delivery planner is described. The tool allows transport and logistics operators to book the delivery bays and to have real-time suggestions on the delivery tour to follow, through the minimization of the total delivery time. Currently, at development phase, the tool has been tested in a target zone, considering the road network and time/city delivering constraints and real-time data about vehicles location, traffic and delivery bay availability. The tool identifies the possible tours based on the delivery preferences, ranks the possible solutions according to the total route time based on information on the road network (i.e. travel time forecasts), performs a further optimization to reduce the total travel times and presents the user the best alternative along with the indications of which delivery bay to use in each delivery stop. The developed prototype is composed by two main parts: a web application that manages communication between the database and the road network simulation, and, an Android mobile App that supports transport and logistic operators in managing their delivering, pre trip and en route, showing and updating routing based on real-time information.

This paper aims to present the first steps of a corpus based dialect dictionary of postpositions in several Khanty dialects and subdialects. Based primarily on specifically elicitated data from more than fifty informants, this ongoing project focuses not only on the semantic properties of this part of speech in Khanty, but also on the morphology and combinatorics as exhibited by (sub)dialectal microvariation. Special attention is paid to two of the Northern dialects – Kazym and Shuryshkary Khanty – and to one of the Eastern dialects – Surgut Khanty. The lexicon entries have been compiled according to TEI P5 guidelines in XML format, while the corpus data is stored in a MySQL database. A web application combining the lexicon with the corpus data, sound files, annotations and metadata is currently under construction. As a multilingual dialect dictionary of Khanty postpositions, this project hopes to fill a gap in current research on Khanty: namely the lack of easily accessible digital dictionaries. It is designed to be a pilot project for forthcoming digital Khanty dictionaries.

Web applications are an important platform in today's society, which humans rely on to complete daily tasks. Most of the web applications were developed with sophisticated, well-known, and powerful web development frameworks. While these frameworks evolve and grow at exponential rate, it become very complex, challenging to learn and no longer intuitive for web application developers, especially those who are inexperience and amateur. There is a need for a simpler web development framework which is sufficient for contemporary web application development. Pigeon-table is a simple module developed under ngPigeon project with the aim to generate web content, i.e. table using data from MySQL database with a single html tag. Pigeon-table is intuitive and easy to learn as it was developed with the principle “web developer-centred design” in mind. A pilot test was conducted in this study to evaluate the satisfactory level among amateur web application developers towards pigeon-table as nano-framework.

In software engineering, web applications are software that are accessed using a web browser through a network such as the Internet or intranet. Web applications are applications that can be relied on by users to do many useful activities. Despite the awareness of web application developers about safe programming practices, there are still many aspect in web applications that can be exploited by attacker. The development of web applications and the Internet causes the movement of information systems to use them as a basis. Security is needed to protect the contents of web applications that are sensitive and provide a safe process of sending data, therefore application security must be applied to all infrastructure that supports web applications, including the web application itself. Most organizations today have some kind of web application security program or try to build/ improve. But most of these programs do not get the results expected for the organization, are not durable or are not able to provide value continuously and efficiently and also cannot improve the mindset of developers to build/ design secure web applications. This research aims to develop a web application security scanner that can help overcome security problems in web applications.

Around the world, cities suffer from a large variety of problems. One of them is urban mobility, and the most common cause is related to traffic incidents, which unexpectedly provoke delays to people and produce losses to businesses. Through natural-language-processing methods, this chapter proposes a way to inform people about events that could have happened on the road. The proposed application takes information from news reports (published by a local newspaper) that have been previously classified as 'traffic incidents'; the app tries to extract the location where these events occurred. These data are then served on a web application, which shows a map that marks all the recent incidents. In this way, the authors offer an alternative to allow citizens to be informed about this kind of event so they can take preventive actions.

The aim of this work is to help cultural web application developers to benefit from the latest technological achievements in Web research. The authors introduce a 3-tier architecture that combines Web 2.0 principles, especially those that focus on usability, community and collaboration, with the powerful Semantic Web infrastructure, which facilitates the information sharing among applications. Moreover, they present a development methodology, based on this architecture, especially tailored for the cultural heritage domain. Cultural developers can exploit this architecture and methodology in order to construct web2.0-powered cultural applications with rich-content and responsive user-interface. Furthermore, they outline some indicative applications in order to illustrate the features of the proposed architecture and prove that it can be applied today and support modern cultural web applications.

In the era of internet and wireless, an online community reporting system that is easy to use and hustle free is much needed to allow the user to place a misconduct report to the relevant authority. The available system is inefficient and time-consuming since mostly are using web-based which makes the user unwilling to make a report to the authority. The objective of this project is to design a system using android application that is cost-effective and easy to use. The scope of this project is on the road violation reporting system. The outcome of the system will provide a user with an easy reporting system and also the authority can manage the report easily. The development of the system is expected to enhance the reporting system and betterment for the community as well as the authority as a whole.

The web application is used by Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang of mataram city and Dinas Perhubungan of mataram city to manage condition data from city roads and also road fittings facilities in the city of Mataram and to receive complaints of damage from the public. While the mobile application is used by the people of the city of Mataram to see the condition of the road and road fittings facilities based on data from the department and the public can also make complaints about damage from roads and road facilities. System testing using the Black Box method and MOS testing. MOS test results indicate that the average rating of respondents from Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang of Mataram City stated strongly agree and agree were 66.67% and 33.33%. The average rating of respondents from Dinas Perhubungan of Mataram City stated strongly agree and agree were 58,33% and 41,67%.  The average rating of respondents from the community stated strongly agree and agree were 52,50% and 44,17%. Therefore, this research concluded that this system is eligible to use.
