The rationale behind this study is how students with disabilities’ perception towards the inclusive education and inclusive teaching practices. As a qualitative single case study, two participants (student with hearing loss and visual impairment) were involved to give their depth explanation about inclusive practices in one secondary inclusive school in Yogyakarta. These participants were recruited by purposive technique sampling. Data were gathered by open-ended interview, documents’ analysis, and direct observation for building and learning media. Data then were analyzed using content-analysis technique. The results show students with disabilities have a positive perception towards the inclusive practices in their school. They claimed, this practice would be valuable if: the school provides learning materials in different modalities and teachers offers multiple ways in teaching. Furthermore, system support and shaping the inclusive culture is necessary to realize the inclusive education and teaching practices.[Penelitian ini mencoba untuk mengungkap persepsi siswa difabel mengenai praktik pendidikan dan pembelajaran inklusif di salah satu SMA Inklusi di Yogyakarta. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan mengambil satu studi kasus yang melibatkan dua orang siswa difabel (Tuli dan tuna netra) sebagai responden melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data diungkap dengan wawancara semi terbuka, analisis dokumen dan observasi terhadap bangunan fisik dan media pembelajaran. Data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik content-analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan siswa memiliki persepsi yang cukup baik terhadap pelaksanaan pendidikan dan pembelajaran inklusif. Menurut siswa, praktik pembelajaran inklusif akan lebih bermakna jika aksesibilitas terhadap materi-materi pelajaran semakin dipermudah dengan menyediakan berbagai macam sumber belajar yang bervariasi, termasuk cara guru dalam menyampaikan pelajaran perlu menggunakan berbagai metode. Selain itu, dukungan sistem dan penciptaan budaya inklusif juga harus selalu dipupuk agar warga sekolah mampu mewujudkan praktik pendidikan dan pembelajaran inklusif yang seharusnya.]

This study aims to describe the implementation of inclusive education in high school settings in the city of Mataram. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study method carried out to see and observe a program, activity, event, or group of individuals at SMAN 6 Mataram. Data collection techniques used interviews and observation.  Data analysis technique used three stages; data reduction, data exposure, and conclusion drawing. The research results showed that the inclusive education at SMAN 6 Mataram was well implemented because the school had previously carried out socialization to all teachers and parents. In addition, the school provided access for all students with disabilities with individual or additional learning, curriculum modifications for all disabled people, learning facilities, socialization of learning braille books for teachers and assisting students with disabilities in exams. The obstacles experienced were the lack of direct support from the government, professionals, and learning problems such as mathematics, arts and culture, physical education, and crafts.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the perception of visually impaired students, their peers without disabilities, and teachers about inclusive education, focusing on a second cycle educational institution in the Eastern region of Ghana implementing inclusive education for the visually impaired. In this study, we collected data from 23 visually impaired students, 27 students without disabilities, and 19 teachers in the inclusive school. Data were collected through semistructured in-depth interviews. This study followed a phenomenological approach, reporting findings from participants’ own words. The study findings revealed that visually impaired students and some teachers supported inclusion while a number of students without disabilities disliked the practice. Some teachers indicated that the idea of inclusive education is a good way to ensure equal educational opportunities. The study concludes that Ghanaian teachers in inclusive schools should be equipped with training to teach students with disabilities.

Resumo: O artigo apresenta a discussão sobre materiais didáticos que auxiliam na educação inclusiva de alunos que possuem deficiência visual. As pesquisas têm apontado carência de recursos didáticos adaptados ao cotidiano escolar dos alunos com deficiência. O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar um material didático adaptado que se mostrou eficiente e contribuiu para o avanço do processo de aprendizagem de uma aluna com baixa visão no estudo do conteúdo Sistema Digestório Humano. A pesquisa é do tipo estudo de caso e o seu paradigma é do tipo qualitativo. O desenho metodológico incluiu a organização de duas entrevistas semiestruturadas com uma aluna com baixa visão, sendo uma anterior e outra posterior à prática com o uso do material adaptado. Com o presente estudo, foi possível concluir que a utilização de recursos didáticos demonstra potencial positivo na promoção da aprendizagem significativa de alunos com deficiência visual na disciplina de Ciências.Palavras-chave: Educação Inclusiva; Recursos Didáticos; Ciências. Abstract: This article presents the discussion about the didatic materials that help in inclusive education for students with visual impairment. Research has pointed to a lack of didactic resources adapted to the daily school life of students with disabilities. The objective of this paper is to present an adapted didatic material that proved to be efficient and contributed to the advancement of the learning process of a student with low vision in the study of the Human Digestive System content. The research is of the case study type and its paradigm is of the qualitative type. The methodological design included the organization of two semi-structured interviews with a student with low vision, one before and one after the practice with the use of adapted material. With the present study, it was possible to conclude that the use of didactic resources demonstrates positive potential in promoting the meaningful learning of visually impaired students in the Science discipline.Keywords: Inclusive Education; Didactic Resources; Sciences.

Abstract The trend of educating students with disabilities in inclusive general education settings is expanding. Consequently, teacher preparation for inclusive practices is a necessary consideration for teacher educators. An important component of shaping preservice teacher dispositions comes from school experiences and interactions with mentor teachers. It is through this relationship that preservice teachers formulate their own attitudes, beliefs, and skills about inclusive practices. This article reports the findings from a set of surveys containing both closed- and open-ended responses related to inclusive education from both preservice (student) and mentor teachers. Analysis of the open-ended responses revealed definitions of inclusive education focused on student deficits and barriers to implementation of inclusive practices that focused on deficits in the capacity of the environment. Implications for teacher preparation, including challenging deficit-based assumptions, are discussed.

This paper reports on processes employed at a secondary state high school in Australia, where students directed inclusive school development. The procedures used in the study were developed from the Index for Inclusion and included a student forum; a student presentation to parents, principal and teachers and a focus group interview with members of the school community. These procedures were designed to empower students to participate in school review and planning and evaluate the procedures developed from the Index for Inclusion. Samples of interview data from the school principal, staff, parents and the students illustrate a growing understanding of what inclusive education means for members of this school community. The research extends understandings of inclusive education in schools, from a focus on students with disabilities to a much broader philosophy that influences school culture, policy and practice for the diversity of students at the school. Discussion about feeling part of a ‘family’ in the school community and the description of the procedures linked to actions for change, provide evidence of a developing inclusive school culture that will inform educators interested in inclusive school development.

Over the last few years, there has been considerable debate regarding the ways in which the different educational systems in the world should develop more inclusive practices in their schools. An important aspect of this discussion revolves around the question of what schools can do to become more inclusive in terms of maximizing the participation of all children in their cultures, curricula, and communities. The Cyprus educational system, in responding to international developments, has made certain efforts to provide equal educational opportunities. These initiatives are undertaken centrally by the Ministry of Education and Culture without paying much attention to individual schools, their cultures, and the relations between schools and their communities. Given these efforts, this study examined how school cultures influence the development of inclusive practices, using case study in a rural primary school in Cyprus with 115 students, and through the analysis of our data, we spotted certain elements of the school's culture that contributed to the success of inclusive education. The provided examples, as well as the way that the leaders led the school under investigation toward an inclusive culture, might be helpful for educators in other contexts who struggle to develop inclusive schools.

The purpose of this meta-analysis was to summarize single-case intervention research studies in which students with disabilities received function-based intervention (FBI) within inclusive school settings to address challenging behavior. A total of 27 studies were identified and systematically reviewed to determine the overall effect of FBI on challenging and appropriate behavior and whether study characteristics moderated intervention outcomes. In addition, we summarized the following: (a) characteristics of study participants and settings, (b) characteristics of FBI applied within the studies, and (c) quality of the studies. Overall, FBI led to improved behavior in a variety of inclusive school settings. Interventions delivered after a teacher-administered functional behavior assessment and within the context of a whole group instructional arrangement resulted in significant reductions in challenging behavior and improvements in appropriate behavior, respectively. Implications for practice, future directions for research, and limitations are described.

Objective - The purpose of the research is to explore, to investigate, and to develop a business model in Islamic perspective in microfinance BMT UGT Sidogiri Indonesia. Methodology/Technique - The research developed by qualitative research with a single case study. The content analysis used as the method to analyze the data describes analytic, intuitive, interpretative, textual and strict textual analysis approaches. Findings – The main finding that the framework Islamic business model in perspective Islam proposed previously can be well understanding and applied in BMT UGT Sidogiri. The result showed that there three main building in developing of an Islamic business model consist of the business foundation, business design, and business development. Novelty - The model can be used to optimize the potential business model of Islam in BMT UGT Sidogiri and other microfinance in Indonesia in the future. In the public institutions of Brazilian direct administration the availability of financial resources is based on yearly budget funds; the process for use of resources is set in legislation and can be time consuming; and unused funds in one fiscal year can not be allocated to the following year. This context of constraints to action becomes particularly complex for organizations that act in the area of Science, Technology Innovation, like Centro de Análises de Sistemas Navais - CASNAV, that belongs to the Brazilian Navy. Thus, the objective of the research was to analyze how CASNAV’s strategic practices of budgeting and billing are formed, in order to deal with the restrictions and rules of public administration, according to the perception of practitioners involved in the process. This study was based on the perspective of strategy as a social practice and focused on the model of Whittington (2006). The single case study had a descriptive nature, which data collection was done through interviews, observation and analysis of documents and then treated by content analysis technique. Among the main results of the analysis highlights that: a) formation of strategic practices is directly linked to the process of interaction with customers; b) flexibility to deal with the financial or budgetary constraints is largely related to the client's needs; and (c) budgeting and billing practice is made possible by formalization of practitioners’ attributions, the proactivity and interaction with customers and the managerial skills developed internally.

Consumers have been advocating for a variety of causes, and in turn, retailers are expressing their political opinions through social-media posts in hopes of aligning with their customers’ views. This study looks at a single case in which customers reacted to a retailer’s political opinion posted on a social media account. Data was collected at the time of the retailer’s political post and up to three years afterward. Content analysis was employed to identify themes from the customer reviews posted, and four themes were identified. Of significance, this study found that customers of a retail store typically merge feelings on the retailer’s product and political post or the retailer’s service and the political post within their social media responses. Thus, a majority of customers in this case were not exclusively focused on battling the political post on social media. Also, a shift in customers’ opinions of the retailer shifted positively over time.
