The paper describes a simple way of a systems integration based on SOAP web services.  The systems integration described in the paper is covered by a system named The atlas of a fire protection. The atlas is a set of dynamically created maps published in WWW browser.  Technologies used for the solution are UMN MapServer, ArcIMS, PHP, GeoTools and Axis.  GeoTools and Axis are used for building platform and programming language independent component for the atlas. The paper describes a software architecture used for the atlas and a role of a web service in the integration.

Android- based C2C portal uses Web Service and is developed to help and bridge between sellerand buyer in transaction of sale with responsive digital media tools known as consumer toconsumer (C2C). In buying and selling process digital media is highly important as the mainmedia in selling and buying products that are fast and secure. C2C portal using androidapplication is created in this research as a media of buying and selling with additional digitalmap media that the application can recommend the nearest seller from buyer and can give routefrom buyer to seller. The android app is created based on Google map used to display sellers inthe form of icons. Android technology used is Javascript programming language and ApacheCordova as the library and use web service and mysql as data management. This application isable to help sellers and buyers as a medium of digital aids in making sale and purchasetransactions and facilitate buyer in knowing the location of seller. The Language-action perspective (LAP) provides an alternative foundation for analyzing and designing effective information systems. The fundamental principle of the LAP approach is people perform actions through communication; therefore, the role of information systems is to support such communications among people to achieve business goals. Basing on linguistic and communicative theories, the LAP approach provides guidance for researchers to gain understanding on how people use communication to coordinate their activities to achieve common goal. Web services, a leading technology to develop information systems, aims to support communication among services to achieve business goals. The close match between fundamental principles of Web services and the LAP approach suggests that researchers can use the LAP approach as a theoretical guidance to analyze and resolve Web service problems. This chapter provides a comprehensive starting point for researchers, practitioners, and students to gain understanding of the LAP approach.

The power of Web services to address the incompatibility issue of standalone systems, has led them to play a major role in business application development. Adopting an efficient and effective method to locate and select desired services among thousands of available candidates is an important task in the service-oriented computing. As part of a Web service discovery system, the ranking process enables users to locate their desired services more effectively. Many of the existing approaches ignore the role of user's requirements which is an important factor in the ranking process. In this thesis we enhance a vector-based ranking method by considering user's requirements. The vector-based model is chosen because of its simplicity and high efficiency. We evaluate all Web services in terms of their similarity degrees to the optimal or the best available values of each quality attribute, and penalize the services that fail to meet the user's requirements. Through our extensive experiments using real datasets, we compare the improved algorithm with other approaches to evaluate it in terms of efficiency (the execution time to return the result) and quality of the results (accuracy). With the emergence of powerful mobile Internet devices such as smartphones, mobile devices are expected to play the role of service providers or even brokers, as well as clients. However, the frequent mobility of devices and the intermittent disconnection of mobile and wireless network may degrade the availability and reliability of services. To resolve these problems, this paper proposes an efficient method for migrating and replicating Web services among mobile devices. Specifically, the proposed method splits the source code of a Web service into subcodes depending on users’ preferences for its constituent operations. For the seamless provisioning of services, a subcode with a higher preference is migrated earlier than others. To evaluate the performance of the proposed method, the effect of the code splitting on migration was analyzed.

Abstrak- Penjadwalan agenda merupakan sebuah proses pembuatan urutan rencana kerja kedalam bentuk daftar catatan yang berisi kegiatan sehari-hari dari seorang individu. Saat ini, penggunaan teknologi Android sudah berkembang pesat diberbagai bidang kehidupan, seperti halnya penerapan aplikasi pengingat yang dibuat untuk menjadwalkan agenda. Meskipun alarm pengingat jadwal agenda telah berbunyi, tetap saja sebagian orang sering mengabaikan hal tersebut dan mematikan alarmnya dengan menekan salah satu tombol. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendesain dan mengimplementasi sistem penjadwalan agenda berbasis Android yang akan mempermudah setiap individu dalam menjadwal agenda kegiatan seharihari. Aplikasi ini dibuat menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Java, Web Service, Eclipse dan database MySQL. Hasil penelitian ini berupa desain sistem yang dapat diimplementasikan untuk sistem penjadwalan agenda dengan fitur menambah agenda pribadi, kontak, pengiriman agenda, serta menampilkan alert dialog berisi informasi tentang jadwal agenda kegiatan yang harus dikerjakan dan bunyi alarm harus direspons pengguna. Berdasarkan pengujian yang dilakukan, aplikasi ini dapat berjalan pada berbagai versi Android mulai dari versi 4.2.2 hingga 6.0.1. Kata Kunci: Agenda, Desain, Implementasi, Penjadwalan. Abstract-Scheduling agenda is a process of making sequences work plan into the form of a list of records that contain the daily activities of an individual. Currently, the use of the Android technology already growing rapidly in various areas of life, as with any application of the reminder application made to schedule agenda. Although the alarm reminder schedule agenda has been read. Nonetheless, some people often overlook it and turn off the alarm by pressing any key. This research aims to design and implement of agenda scheduling system based android that will make it easier to every individual in the schedule of daily activities agenda. This application is created using the Java programming language, Web services, Eclipse and MySQL database. The results of this research in the form of system design that can be implemented for agenda scheduling system with features to add the personal agenda, contacts, sending the agenda, as well as displaying alert dialog contains information about the schedule of the activities agenda should be done and the sound of the alarm should respond to users. based on the testing done, this application can run on a variety of Android version starting from version 4.2.2 to 6.0.1. The program is implemented by the National Agency of Standardization Education (BSNP) in principle requires the student's participation in the information of various media, one of which comes from the Internet. The role of the school, especially teachers by providing a source material is also very necessary. The more resources available subject should be one of the student's notes of support factors. Digital training network creative services can be an effective learning tool. Digital materials services can be used to connect between the school as a hardware provider, so that information systems can be integrated with each other learning materials between schools and many resource materials obtained . While the data can be integrated materials between schools then use the Web service. Web services are built on a system of service providers that are in each school. The results of the use of Web services technology for systems integration services which are the subject of each school, with testing services that are built at the school system testing and information important that is accessible by the user, ie teachers, students, and office. The results of the study indicate a web service to solve problems by providing a lot of information distributed on the providers and users as needed.

The I\O file system Read\Write operations are considered the most significant characteristics. Where, many researchers focus on their works on how to decrease the response time of I\O file system read\write operations. However, most articles concentrate on how to read\write content of the file in parallelism manner. Here in this paper, the author considers the parallelizing Read\Write whole file bytes not only its contents. A case study has been applied in order to make the idea more clear. It talks about two techniques of uploading\downloading files via Web Service. The first one is a traditional way where the files uploaded and downloaded serially. While the second one is uploaded\ downloaded files using Java thread in order to simulate parallelism technique. Java Netbeans 8.0.2 have been used as a programming environment to implement the Download\Upload files through Web Services. Validation results are also presented via using Mat-lab platform as benchmarks. The visualized figures of validation results are clearly clarifying that the second technique shows better response time in comparison to the traditional way.

Recently, web services have presented a new and evolving model for constructing the distributed system. The meteoric growth of the Web over the last few years proves the efficacy of using simple protocols over the Internet as the basis for a large number of web services and applications. Web service is a modern technology of web, which can be defined as software applications with a programmatic interface based on Internet protocol. Web services became common in the applications of the web by the help of Universal, Description, Discovery and Integration; Web Service Description Language and Simple Object Access Protocol. The architecture of web services refers to a collection of conceptual components in which common sets of standard can be defined among interoperating components. Nevertheless, the existing Web service's architecture is not impervious to some challenges, such as security problems, and the quality of services. Against this backdrop, the present study will provide an overview of these issues. Therefore, it aims to propose web services architecture model to support distributed system in terms of application and issues.
