The process of preserving and reconstructing historical buildings poses several specific questions and raises problems which must be solved in the planning and management stage of the building process - from questions of architectural and art-historical significance, via the future purpose of use of the building, links to the surrounding buildings, environmental questions, questions of cost, time analysis, and quality assurance problems. Many of these problems can be solved with the help of a computer model of the course of the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the building created by a construction technology network diagram. The CONTEC integrated project planning, management and quality control system based on these diagrams has been used for bidding, planning and managing the reconstruction process of several significant historical buildings in Prague and other cities.

According to Chinese traditional classification, large-sized jackets weight over 10,000 tons and stand in over 100-meter water. Large-sized jackets are different from the normal in construction tonnage, structural dimension and quality control requirements as well as construction difficulty. More complicated construction technology and programme, higher grade of materials, stricter control requirements on node weld and higher risks all need matched stricter, more meticulous and more comprehensive management in planning and scheduling. Combined with construction of LW3-1 deep-water jacket, this paper describes the planning, tracking progress, process control and optimization.

Abstract. This paper presents the development and applications of a software-based quality control system that monitors volcano activity in near-real time. On the premise that external seismic manifestations provide information directly related to the internal status of a volcano, here we analyzed variations in background seismic noise. By continuous analysis of variations in seismic waveforms, we detected clear indications of changes in the internal status. The application of this method to data recorded in Villarrica (Chile) and Tungurahua (Ecuador) volcanoes demonstrates that it is suitable to be used as a forecasting tool. A recent application of this developed software-based quality control to the real-time monitoring of Teide – Pico Viejo volcanic complex (Spain) anticipated external episodes of volcanic activity, thus corroborating the advantages and capacity of the methodology when implemented as an automatic real-time procedure.

Porous concrete also be called macropterous concrete or porous lean concrete.As a new base material,it is a lean concrete between cement stabilized macadam and ordinary concrete.Based on Luoyang beltway project,this paper describes the composition design of porous concrete,and discusses the combination of construction machinery,technological process,QCS(quality control specification) and test detection of porous concrete permeable base.Also we do research on many technological parameters such as mixing,paving,molding,maintenance in the construction of porous concrete permeable base.This provides a reference on construction technology and its application.

To study the industrial technology for application of the C100 High strength and high performance concrete which is in freezing shaft lining of thick overburden, the industrial test of the shaft wall of high strength and high performance concrete is carried out under the engineering background of auxiliary shaft in Yuncheng coal mine of Juye coal mining area in Shandong Province. The verified laboratory testing results comported with the results of industrial technology from macro-mechanics, failure fractal, resultant morphology and pore characteristics. And the quality control system of high performance concrete and construction technology can be established. The results show that the experimental formula and construction technology of C100 high strength and high performance concrete can meet the requirement of field concrete shaft lining and achieve the high level of quality control. The industrial application and study results accord with the field requirement. Furthermore, the study results also provide experimental basis and industrial production data for industrial application of C100 high strength and high performance concrete.

The purpose of this paper is to present a computerized integrated project management system and report results of a survey on the effectiveness of the system. The system consists of a scheduling system, material management system, labor/equipment system, and safety/quality control system. The backbone system is a scheduling system that adopts a production planning system and a project scheduling system. The lowest level in the scheduling system is a daily work management system, which is linked to each functional management system (i.e. material management system, labor/equipment system, and safety/quality control system). The paper focuses on the material management and scheduling systems to implement a material “pull” system to reduce material inventories on site. Details of material management and scheduling systems are discussed, and a sample application is presented to demonstrate the features of the proposed computer application system. The paper presents practitioners and researchers with a practical tool to integrate material management and scheduling systems for site personnel.
