The purpose of this article is to streamline relatively new (over the last ten-year period) information in the field of regional and spatial research for a better understanding of the subject field of regionalistics. The article was implemented in the form of a review as one of the promising types of scientific publication and generally meets international criteria and the traditions of their compilation. Taking into account the initial stage of the study of the socio-economic space among the extensive typology of reviews used in international practice, the most common appearance is a narrative review, one of whose characteristic features is subjective selection of information. Preference in selection of articles was given to the works of famous regionalists; At the same time, not only publications, “directly” reflect the trends in the development of socio-economic space, but also studies made by conjugate topics and disciplines. Structuring articles were carried out on various reasons. The main grouping of publications: 1) in the context of scientific schools and personalities; 2) depending on the direction of publications disclosing certain trends in the development of socio-economic space (“differentiation — leveling” differences, “compression — expansion”, “Integration — fragmentation”). The complexity and problems of the formation of regional and spatial research reviews are revealed, promising directions for analyzing information on spatial subjects associated with the preparation of a systematic review are shown.

An evaluative study of a selection of primary and sec ondary information sources of potential use for current aware ness in the field of occupational diseases is presented. This study identifies the more important English language primary sources of occupational diseases research information. Re search studies in the field of occupational diseases, however, are scattered widely in the medical literature. This study com pares the usefulness of a variety of secondary sources as current awareness tools for bringing together this widely scattered information. Several secondary sources are useful but, despite considerable overlap between these sources, no single source provides comprehensive coverage of the subject field. Scanning of a number of primary sources together with several secondary sources is recommended as the best means of keeping abreast of the latest research information in this subject area.

The article presents the results of experiment organized to test the effectiveness of the methodology for building pre-service food technologist’s speech production competence in the process of self-directed work. The present research is based on the using of the following methods: studying and analyzing scientific publication on methodological experiment, observing the process of training, conducting methodological experiment, interpreting the results of experiment with the help of the methods of mathematical statistic. The hypothesis, the object, the subject, the task of the experiment, experimental materials, the varied and non-varied values, the experimental phases (organization, realization and dates constatation), the experiment nature (base, natural, opened, vertical-horizontal) are outlined. According to the hypothesis of the experiment the building pre-service food technologist’s speech production competence will be more effective provided by the using of special selected authentical professional oriented video texts, realization of the studying on the base of the professional oriented exercises subsystem, selection of the more optimal variant of studying organization on the stage of preparation. The data of pre-experimental and post- experimental sections are analyzed using the coefficient of the training proposed by V. P. Bespalko. The results of the experimental training using the criterion the Fisher transformation are interpreted. The data of the pre-experimental test declared that students in both experimental groups had the identical low level of speech production competence. The data of the pre-experimental test declared the growth of speech production competence. According to the experiment data one of the methodology variants has been proven to have a higher effect. The experimental testing proves the effectiveness of the methodology for building pre-service food technologist’s speech production competence of future pre-service food technologists as well as the effectiveness of the developed subsystem of exercises.

The article deals with problematic issues related to the norms of criminal procedure legislation, considering the involvement of an expert as an investigative action. Among criminal scientists and proceduralists there is no consensus on the procedural definition of forensic examination. Most of them include forensics to investigative actions. By the definition of a forensic examination, it is clear that an integral feature of a procedural action is to conduct it exclusively by officials of state bodies authorized by law to conduct criminal proceedings. These include: employees of the operational units, an investigator, a prosecutor, a judge. The subject of the examination is an expert – a person not authorized by law to conduct investigative actions. That is why, in our opinion, it is impossible to refer an examination to investigative actions. Proponents of referring a forensic examination to investigative actions most often mean it as «the appointment and conduct of a forensic examination». It is argued that actions regarding the appointment and conduct of the examination are different in nature and subjects of conduct. If we consider the stage of appointment of the examination, and for the current Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine – the involvement of an expert, then its subject is the investigator. The subject of the examination is an expert. Considering the characteristic features of the investigative action, it can be concluded that the stage of appointment of the examination or the involvement of an expert, which scientists consider as preparatory to the examination, has all the signs inherent in an independent investigative action. It is governed by the rules of procedural law, carried out in the framework of criminal proceedings, authorized by the person. When an expert is involved, the investigator conducts certain actions, the result of which is reflected in the ruling of the investigating judge. The purpose of the examination is to obtain, research and verify evidence. Considering the involvement of an expert as a separate investigative action, we define its content, divided into generally accepted stages: preparatory, working and final. To the preparatory stage, we include such actions: the decision to conduct an examination; selection of an expert institution or a private expert; determination of the type of examination and subject of study; determining the order of appointment of examinations in relation to the same objects; timing of appointment examination. The following should be attributed to the working stage: selection of objects for examination; receipt of the decision of the investigating judge for the examination. The final stage consists of the following stages: determining the circle of persons who may be present during the examination; referrals and necessary materials to the expert institution. Key words: investigative (search) action, forensic examination, appointment of expertise, involvement of an expert.

The purpose of the article is to justify the necessity of making a comprehensive educational e-dictionary from a number of disciplines within a certain domain, to show its place in the educational space, to find out compilation principles and usage specifics in the educational process. It is noted that modernization of the modern Ukrainian higher education system requires the search for new approaches to the organization of educational activities that would contribute to the creation of a comprehensive perception of the subject field. It is shown that the formation of the integral outlook of the professional to-be at the educational process as well as developing his system approach to analysis of any phenomena of reality can facilitate the selection and structuring of material on the principles of differentiation and integration. Part of this problem is solved by a complex educational e-dictionary, which is made up of the key concepts of disciplines of a certain speciality (in a particular case, a journalism). The logic and topicality should become conceptual foundations of the electronic dictionary, which will be represented in the elements of its macrostructure (prefaces, rules of using the dictionary, term register, conceptual-terminological groups of terms, illustrations). On the basis of thorough theoretical and applied lexicographic works, a system of lexicographic macrocomponents is developed that characterize the general structure of the dictionary and the principles of presentation of materials in it, as well as a system of microparameters that determine the properties of the term-dominants of the vocabulary article. The value of our research is that it describes in detail the micro- and macro tructure of the complex educational electronic dictionary, solves the key problems associated with the selection of terminology units of the register, and also outlines the advantages of the electronic dictionary in comparison with its paper analogue. The results of the study will promote convergence of sciences and the introduction of integration methods into education for the formation of a comprehensive perception of the world among students and, in particular, for individual understanding through the personal «self» how crucial it is to overcome the contradictions between people and environment.

During the most recent conference of the Renaissance Society of America, two sessions were devoted entirely to the Renaissance in Poland. In fifty-nine editions of what is considered the most prestigious international appointment for experts of Renaissance culture, this is the first time that characteristic features of sixteenth-century Poland were the subject of analysis and debate. The interest generated at the conference and the academic value of the contributions convinced the organisers of the panels to ask the speakers to develop and revise their contributions to conform with the conventions of the academic article. The result is a selection of essays that pursue specific pathways in exploring the cultural factors that affected the Renaissance in Poland: influences and originality in Polish literary and artistic production, orthodoxy and dissidence, the circulation of thought and reflection on the Res Publica in the spheres of both politics and philosophy. Adopting a distinctly interdisciplinary approach, the aim of this publication is to focus certain aspects of the Polish Renaissance and the cultural identity of sixteenth-century Poland in relation to the European context.

This article is devoted to the initial stage of criminal proceedings – the initiation of criminal proceedings on the grounds of an economic crime. This stage does not boil down to the formal act of issuing the relevant resolution, but includes the subject and procedures for proving the so-called pre-investigation check. Moreover, according to the current legislation, the appointment and production of forensic examinations, the selection of samples for a comparative study, etc. are legal during this period. Such verification may result in a system of evidence to make an informed criminal procedural decision to initiate a criminal case or evidence for a preventive response to signs of an economic crime. The authors focus on some debatable issues of the criminal procedural status of the leading subject of the criminal case – the investigator (interrogator). This raises the acute problem of the gap between the functions of proving and making criminal procedural decisions.
