Many real-world applications, including adaptive radar scanning and smart stealth, require reconfigurable multifunctional devices to simultaneously manipulate multiple degrees of freedom of electromagnetic (EM) waves in an on-demand manner. Recently, kirigami technique, affording versatile and unconventional structural transformation, has been introduced to endow metamaterials with the capability of controlling EM waves in a reconfigurable manner. Here, we report for a kirigami-inspired sparse meta-architecture, with structural density of 1.5% in terms of the occupation space, for adaptive invisibility based on independent operations of frequency, bandwidth, and amplitude. Based on the general principle of dipolar management via structural reconstruction of kirigami-inspired meta-architectures, we demonstrate reconfigurable invisibility management with abundant EM functions and a wide tuning range using three enantiomers (A, B, and C) of different geometries characterized by the folding angle β. Our strategy circumvents issues of limited abilities, narrow tuning range, extreme condition, and high cost raised by available reconfigurable metamaterials, providing a new avenue toward multifunctional smart devices.

On the basis of systematic study on the existing measurement methods of multi-degrees-of-freedom, A real-time monitoring method for five-degrees-of-freedom of the extruder’s moving parts was proposed based on laser beam measurement reference and machine vision. Simultaneously measuring multi-degrees-of-freedom is implemented by two-collimated laser beam and three-point measurement in this method, laser dispersion technology is used for several measuring points using the same basis simultaneously, the baseline errors are initial adjusted and real-time monitored, the method of machine vision is used for precise extraction of the position signals. Position signals are collected and selected by a Charge Coupled Device (CCD) sensor and a high speed Digital Signal Processor (DSP), long-distance propagation and reconciliation of multi-channel data is implemented by an industrial Ethernet. Experiments indicated the method is effective and steady.

Manipulator of multiple degrees of freedom has been widely used in all kinds of rescue and exploring robots. This paper regard a kind of 6 DOF manipulator controller as the design object. The data acquisition for WDD35D4 sensors is carried by the C8051F020 microcontroller and sent through a wireless transmitter NRF905 after encrypted. Then the wireless transmitter NRF905 of the manipulator receives decryption. Through data processing and the steering gear adjustment, the angle of linear potentiometer corresponds to the angle of steering by 1-1. Then it drives the manipulator to work out and simulate the same motion of mechanical arm controller, and make real-time synchronization control.
