Abstract An improved Offner imaging spectrometer was proposed based on the optical system characteristics of Offner imaging spectrometer, which can ensure perfect imaging quality in a wider annular region. The operating wavelength of the improved Offner imaging spectrometer ranges from 900nm to 1700nm, and the magnification is 1. Improved Offner imaging spectrometer can be obtained by changing the meniscus lens position and further optimizing the design. The results indicate that the improved Offner imaging spectrometer can effectively improve compactness and lightweight, and reduce the difficulty of optical adjustment, which is conducive to the stability of practical application.

Dynamic optical is a theory which we can deduce the object-image conjugated rations of optical system by researching motion group in optical system. It can unify various formula and methods of optical system which have motion group. Zoom system is a typical dynamic optical system. This paper will discuss how to apply the dynamic optical theory to zoom system design. With dynamic optical theory, we can derive the image motion compensating formula and the trace curve of the image motion compensating group. The cam can be fabricated according to compensating curve, which can ensure the stabilization of image plane and keep imaging quality. Moreover, a example of 30× zoom system is presented, which proves that the dynamic optical theory has some practicability for zoom system design.

According to the actual operating parameters of tundish in a steel mill, the flow pattern and temperature distribution of molten steel in tundish were studied by CFD and heat transfer calculation method. Changing the height of parapet hole, the effect of parapet hole on flow field and temperature field were simulated. The simulation results show that: the parapet hole height has large influence on flow recirculation position, which can impact surface temperature and outflow temperature of molten steel. When parapet hole height increases, the recirculation vortex moves towards the surface of molten steel in outflow zone, surface temperature rises, but outflow temperature decreases near the narrow wall. Comprehensive analysis show that, when the parapet hole height is 480mm, surface temperature is high, molten steel will not solidify at corner; the reduction of molten steel temperature is small at outflow hole.

An enormous number of online resources available on the internet are being used by authors in report writing. Instead of paraphrasing with proper references and citations, some writers opt for shortcuts to generate new documents from documents already published on the internet, by using word spinning software. Some of these word spinning tools are known to be capable of evading plagiarism checks. For this reason, some argue that there would not be any legal obligation related to plagiarism in word spun reports. However, ethical and quality issues of such documents cannot simply be disregarded. Despite an apparent lack of literature published on this issue, this paper includes a comprehensive analysis of different views related to ethicality and plagiarism, from published articles and user forums. The present paper is based upon a study conducted on the assignments submitted by the students at Waiariki Institute of Technology. This research was also focussed on examining both the quality of sentences and the degree of plagiarism of documents created by using a number of word spinners available on the internet. The plagiary of word spun documents was tested using Turnitin software. The quality of each sentence from a number of word spun documents created by a number of word spinners was categorised as 'improved', lowered', or 'distorted' and then analysed using QSR NVivo10 software. The findings of this research indicate significant quality degradation in the word spun documents and total evasion of plagiarism checks.
