ABSTRACT: A novel strain of bacterium designated as 3bp, a Gram-stain positive, non-spore forming, non-motile, yellow-pigmented, rod shaped and coccoid aerobic strain was isolated from Panagal reservoir, Nalgonda, Telangana, India, represents a novel species from the phylum Actinobacteria. Here we report the draft genome of the strain 3bp. It comprises ~ 4.31771 Mb with the G + C content of 74.73 %, and a total of 3796 protein-coding genes.

ABSTRACT Clostridium oryzae was originally isolated from the soil of a Japanese rice field. C. oryzae represents a novel species within the genus Clostridium and is associated with anaerobic rice straw degradation. Here, we present the draft genome sequence of C. oryzae DSM 28571 (5.076 Mbp), containing 4,590 predicted protein-coding genes.

Here, we report the draft genome sequence of the type strain of Ideonella azotifigens DSMZ21438T (formally 1a22T = JCM15503T). Ideonella azotifigens DSMZ21438T a novel betaproteobacterial non-symbiotic nitrogen-fixing grass rhizosphere dwelling microbe. The 891,561 paired-end shotgun reads were quality filtered and decontaminated with the ATLAS pipeline, then assembled with Unicycler. The genome size is 6,257,981 bp, an N50 size of 7,849 bp, with a G+C content of 66.71%, and with 5,882 predicted protein-coding genes. I. azotifigens DSMZ21438T represents the first member of the genus isolated from rhizosphere soil, providing a framework for further study into non-alphaproteobacterial nitrogen fixation and synthetic biology applications.

Here, we report the draft genome sequence of Photorhabdus luminescens strain DSPV002N, which consists of 177 contig sequences accounting for 5,518,143 bp, with a G+C content of 42.3% and 4,701 predicted protein-coding genes (CDSs). From these, 27 CDSs exhibited significant similarity with insecticidal toxin proteins from Photorhabdus luminescens subsp. laumondii TT01.

The Pasteurella multocida capsular type A isolates can cause pneumonia and bovine respiratory disease (BRD). In this study, comparative genomics analysis was carried out to identify the virulence genes in two different virulent P. multocida capsular type A isolates (high virulent PmCQ2 and low virulent PmCQ6). The draft genome sequence of PmCQ2 is 2.32 Mbp and contains 2,002 protein-coding genes, 9 insertion sequence (IS) elements, and 1 prophage region. The draft genome sequence of PmCQ6 is 2.29 Mbp and contains 1,970 protein-coding genes, 2 IS elements, and 3 prophage regions. The genome alignment analysis revealed that the genome similarity between PmCQ2 and PmCQ6 is 99% with high colinearity. To identify the candidate genes responsible for virulence, the PmCQ2 and PmCQ6 were compared together with that of the published genomes of high virulent Pm36950 and PmHN06 and avirulent Pm3480 and Pm70 (capsular type F). Five genes and two insertion sequences are identified in high virulent strains but not in low virulent or avirulent strains. These results indicated that these genes or insertion sequences might be responsible for the virulence of P. multocida, providing prospective candidates for further studies on the pathogenesis and the host-pathogen interactions of P. multocida.

ABSTRACT Moorella humiferrea is an endospore-forming, anaerobic, and thermophilic bacterium which was isolated from a terrestrial hydrothermal spring. M. humiferrea is able to use humic acid or 10-anthraquinone-2,6-disulfonate as an electron-shuttling compound for growth and Fe(III) reduction. The genome has a size of 2.629 Mb and contains 2,668 predicted protein-coding genes.
