A centrally reinforced column is a new type of RC columns, formed by providing a reinforcement skeleton at the central part of the cross section of an ordinary RC column. Tests have shown that as compared with an ordinary RC column, this type of columns has a higher load carrying capacity and ductility. From the pushover analysis of a frame composed of ordinary RC columns and one consisting of centrally reinforced columns, their seismic performance under seismic load of 9-degree intensity was studied according to Chinese code, including target displacements, story-level displacements, interstory drifts, appearance and development of plastic hinges. The results indicate that although the dimensions of cross sections of columns in the frame with centrally reinforced columns are smaller than those of the ordinary frame, the former still has a higher overall load carrying capacity and seismic performance than the latter.

In this paper bracing, diagrid and outrigger system have been analyzed for comparing the seismic performance of multistorey buildings. Bracing system is a very efficient system which can be used as a lateral load resisting system in concrete and steel buildings, in this system lateral loads are transferred through lateral bracing by undergoing in tension and compression .diagrid is another effective and efficient system that can be used as lateral load resisting system in steel and concrete tall buildings, in this system lateral loads are transferred by inclined members of the building. Another very effective system which commonly used for resisting lateral loads in concrete and steel high rise building is outrigger system, in this system lateral loads will be resisted by outrigger belt truss and core shear wall. Location and number of outrigger and type of bracing is very important which needs to be optimized in this system. In this paper comparison of bracing, diagrid and outrigger system have been studied on a 24 storey by using a standard package of ETABS 2017.

Seismic performance is basically required in precast shear wall. This study focuses on evaluation and improvement on precast shear wall seismic performance. By carrying out the finite-element simulation on a precast shear wall spatial model with new connector from a practical high-rise precast residential building, which was named as NPGCS and experimentally tested by low-cyclic reversed lateral loads in early studies, the performance results including strengths, stiffness, stress, and concrete damage ratio distributions were obtained, and the reliability of NPGCS spatial model was verified. According to the testing results, the finite-element simulation for the NPGCS spatial model is reliable and relatively accurate, especially for applying contact and beam elements into numerical analysis of precast interfaces and dowel shear actions, respectively. The strengths, stiffness, stress, and concrete damage ratio distributions from the simulation also supported the experimental results and conclusions.
