The search for possible solutions and tools to fight domestic violence always ends up with searching for the causes of this negative phenomenon. To answer what causes domestic violence turns out to be a challenging issue. Knowing the causes of domestic violence could be the key to the elimination of domestic violence from our society. Aetiology is a partial component of criminology that focuses on the discovery and investigation of the causes of criminal behaviour in individuals. Knowing the causes of crime as such is in itself a very demanding process. The cause creates a causal relationship between the phenomena which are unchangeable. The causes of violent behaviour in domestic violence have never been accurately and unequivocally proven. For this reason, it is more appropriate to identify and investigate criminogenic factors of criminal behaviour. These are factors, which in themselves, or in a combination of them, support, enable, incite, facilitate the emergence or development of criminal behaviour. The determination of the exact causes of domestic violence is very difficult, nearly impossible, so the factors that can indicate violent behaviour in a family are the most important to analyse and deal with.

The results of the small number of existing investigations of criminality among twins have mostly been considered as contributions to the discussion of the relative importance of heredity and environment. I attempt to look at the problem in a slightly different context, but find it useful to give a brief summary of the older investigations. The results of previous studies utilizing the twin method to throw light on the problem of crime appear from Tab. I.I am sure you will remember Lange's conclusion from 1929: “ As far as crime is concerned, MZ twins on the whole react in a definitely similar manner, DZ twins behave quite differently. In accordance with the significance of the twin method we must conclude that innate tendencies play a preponderant part among the causes of crime”.There is one fundamental assumption behind the conclusions about the heredity of criminal behaviour, which is not fulfilled. The environment of each of the two twins in a pair must be equally similar or equally different, irrespective of zygosity. However, the milieus of the cotwins in a DZ pair are in fact more different than in a MZ one.The Danish study is carried out in cooperation with the Danish Twin Register (Harvald and Hauge, 1965). The material consists of data about nearly 6000 pairs of twins, i. e., all twins born on the Danish islands in 1881-1910, where both twins have survived to the age of at least 15 years. The source material may be considered complete. About 900 pairs have been entered into the Central Police Register and/or into the local penal registers.

In this paper we claim that gender attitudes towards fatherhood and parental practice, change quicker than attitudes of Polish society towards domestic violence (DV) and gender stereotypes. In the literary review we used an interpretative approach, embedded in Michael Rush’s (2015) theoretical framework, based on the Nordic turn in social policy and the convergence and divergence of fathering across cultures (Seward & Rush, 2016). Focusing on an empirical case study a questionnaire directed to future teachers was used as a method of data collection, to interlink attitudes towards fatherhood, masculinity/femininity archetypes and violence in intimate relationships. Gender stereotypes as well as attitudes towards DV and paternal involvement are strongly interconnected, and yet social change in these areas occurs at varied speeds in each field, due to the differences in which society accepts new norms. Whilst many studies suggest that involved fathers have a positive impact, leading to a decrease in violent behaviour, we take this further, demonstrating that change in fatherhood patterns has a positive impact on decreasing the social tolerance of DV. However, as our study shows this must be accompanied by changes in gender stereotypes, including attitudes towards fatherhood.

Although a causal relationship between alcohol and violence is established, the actual number of alcohol related violence are seldom reported. Consumption of alcohol is part of ritual or ceremony in indigenous communities in Nepal. However, alcohol related domestic violence are rarity in Nepalese scenario. This may be because alcohol related domestic assaults and violence are usually 'secreted' and seldom published. We present a case of father-son alcohol related aggression for its unusualness of site and pattern.

The article describes one of the most urgent needs of the investigation the development of a fundamentally new approach to the forensic medical assessment of harm to human health caused by environmental crimes. Th e special signifi cance of new approaches to establishing a causal relationship between a committed environmental off ense and harm to life and (or) health, including for distinguishing from other possible anthropogenic impacts, is shown. A practical example of expert assistance to the investigation in establishing the circumstances to be proved during the investigation of an environmental crime is given.

Domestic violence is a cycle of various harassment in which the abuser can be any member of the family. Both media and research on domestic violence focus on the behaviour of adult family members, while there is a lack of research analysing child abuse, for example against their parents. The current legal framework establishes the procedure for bringing an abusive person to justice, however, the provided sanctions do not apply to a child being violent in case the offense is not of a criminal nature. The study presents the research in two parts, the first part, indicating the psychological and pedagogical aspects of the problem, and the second - the problem of the legal regulation of liability. The aim of the study was to analyse the regulatory framework, which determines the child's responsibility in cases of child-to-parent violence, to identify the problems of the legal framework and to develop proposals for the improvement of the legal framework. The study was developed interdisciplinary, performing the analysis of national and international legal acts, analysing statistical data and research on current issues. Analytical and descriptive method, grammatical, historical, teleological and systemic interpretation methods were used in the study. As a result of the research, a number of problems were identified. These were related to the identification of a child being violent, the rights and responsibilities of the family and society in cases of escalating violence, as well as the issue of taking responsibility for the child's violence. At the same time, it was concluded that cases of violence by children to parents are difficult to identify, which may be due to the parent-child relationship and ignorance of the parent's problem, resulting in a formal determination of the child's responsibility in case of violence. In turn, the legal framework should strengthen not only the procedure of holding the children responsible for their violent behavior, but also to call for interdisciplinary prevention of violence committed by children.

This chapter focuses on confronting violence, by analysing humanity's capacity for ‘evil’. It asserts the importance of confronting a sad truth — the reality that it is currently not possible to imagine a world fully free of human violence and aggression. The seeming inexplicability of much violent behaviour may often generate a sense that the world today is somehow bereft of a common morality or mutual sense of compassion. Certainly the internet, print, and TV news media are often fixed on unsettling stories of murder, gang violence, riots, sexual assaults, child abuse, domestic violence, civil war, and terrorism. The seeming ubiquity of violence in society, and the apparent appetite for it, when packaged up as a consumer product, might help in understanding why many people hold the view that violence is ingrained in people's nature.

16-channel EEG data during intermittent episodes of epilepsy is recoded and analyzed to find the lesions source for temporal lobe epilepsy by Granger causality. And the analysis of EEG with the lesions of temporal lobe epilepsy and non-lesions area of relationship between cause and effects is focused on, exploring temporal lobe epilepsy with lesions in other regions of the information transduction relationship for the clinical determination of temporal lobe epileptic focus to provide a theoretical the support. There are 8 cases patients which 6 cases patients of left-temporal lobe epilepsy and 2 cases patients of right-temporal lobe epilepsy in this work, Sampling frequency fs=200Hz,time t=20s (Sampling points N=4000). Granger causality is used to direction of the information transduction between each channel of the EEG signals. Autoregressive methods of EEG analysis for multi-channel data and determination of the coefficient of the matrix A, and proportion of operations on the matrix A is applied to get the result of matrix I which can reflect the causal relationship between each channel. The result shows that Granger causality can test the location of the lesions source and the areas that the information was reached. The results are consistent with the diagnosis of the EEG and CT. Granger causality not only can analyze the causal relationship of EEG, and it can calculate the multi-channel information transduction between the directions of EEG, which can provide support in the clinic for determine the source of seizure.
