The Results of the information review of the materials of the Websites of the Libraries of German Universities are presented. A sample of eleven libraries was formed, the selection criteria for which were the following indicators: The Universality of the acquisition of the fund; the presence in the structure of information resources of collections of rare, handwritten and old printed publications; participation in the network of library institutions located on campuses (libraries), library funds are completed with documents of a narrow-specialized direction. The practical problems of creating Information and library resources on education and pedagogy are highlighted; the defining components of the content and composition of the sites of these libraries are described. The Directions of formation of resources of the researched segment of libraries of universities with single - circuit and double – circuit structure are revealed and generalized. In universities of the first type, libraries perform the functions of the central and peripheral library structure, as a rule, information and library resources on pedagogy and education are exported from OPAC (Online public access Catalog) and KVK (Karlsruher Virtuelle Katalog). In universities with a two-circuit structure of libraries, the site presents resources for educational and pedagogical purposes, in library departments, resources of specialized direction are reflected. The qualitative characteristics of the portals of educational and pedagogical issues, placed on the basis of the DBIS information System, are given. features of the formed information resources on the basis of various information sources, according to needs of users, minimizing information overload by optional («superfluous») information flows are revealed. The directions of content formation, prospects of development of the portal «Pädagogik» are covered.

The competence, commitment and attitudes of design consultants strongly influence the quality and costs of built facilities. However, in the selection of professional services it is often difficult to specify and assess non-price criteria related to both firms and individual consultants. Therefore, clients traditionally rely on long term relations or recommendations from clients or colleagues. Public procurement regulation, however, restricts the use of such informal data. This study seeks to understand how procurers act to reconcile these conflicting demands. An explorative questionnaire survey distributed to Swedish municipalities investigates which selection criteria and information sources are used, as well as perceived difficulties and shortcomings related to consultancy procurement. Results show a high focus on price or more easily measured non-price criteria. This might limit the ability of municipal officials to evaluate consultant competence, especially aspects related to design and execution of projects. Furthermore, personal information sources are widely used, indicating a conflict between procurement practice and existing regulation. Unexpectedly, procurement officials were generally satisfied with their procurement practice. However, managers and more experienced procurers tend to be more satisfied than other officials. Satisfaction also appears to be connected to the existence of a procurement policy and more advanced selection methods. Keywords: public procurement, selection, consultants, Sweden

AbstractSports results in powerlifting have been extensively studied, but there is no analysis of the diagnostic sources of criteria for selecting 19–20-year-old athletes. Therefore, it is important to continue the study of factors affecting performance in power-lifting, not only in individual events, but also in the entire discipline. There were two research objectives in the study: firstly, to identify a set of independent (predictor) variables contributing to sports results (outcome variable) in powerlifting using the least numbers of those variables, and secondly, to develop a biometric regression model describing the sports result. The study group (The optimal set of variables predicting sports results in junior powerlifting consists of nine features. The integral capacity of the selected information sources reached the value of 0.891.It was confirmed that body composition, special physical fitness, and the technique of movement would constitute the optimum combination of explanatory variables of the model. These characteristics have the highest value as diagnostic and selection criteria and should not be overlooked.

The purpose of the study was to investigate the buying process, supplier selection criteria and information of craft retailers in South Africa (SA). The information collected about the buying process, supplier selection criteria and information sources used were to propose a marketing strategy for craft producers wanting to target retailers. Craft retailers play a dominant role in the craft industry value chain yet craft producers face difficulties selling to this market. Instead, they resort to selling directly to end consumers and not through craft retailers. An understanding of the retailer’s buying process, supplier selection criteria and information sources   is a necessity for craft producers who want to sell their products successfully through the craft retailers. A survey was conducted among 233 craft retailers in SA. A convenience sampling method was adopted for the study. The findings revealed that craft retailers go through homogenous buying stages. Craft retailers go through a lengthy process when buying crafts. The most important supplier selection criteria are product quality, product is exciting and attractive, product styling and design and product distinctiveness/uniqueness. The information sources most often used are existing sales records, buyer’s experience and sales persons visiting with samples.

Administrators of programs for children with communicative disorders in 11 midwestern states were surveyed to assess trends in the training and utilization of paraprofessionals. Topics included: (a) current trends in employment, (b) paraprofessional training, (c) use of ASHA and state guidelines, and (d) district policies for supervision. Selection criteria, use of job descriptions, training programs, and supervision practices and policies were examined. Results indicate that paraprofessionals are used but that standards for training and supervision are not consistently applied across all programs. Program administrators report minimal training for supervising professionals.
