Pancasila is the five principles which becomes the Indonesian ideology. The literacy culture of students, especially in Pancasila and citizenship education learning, is still low. The results of a preliminary observation we did at several high schools in Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta, showed that the problem of Pancasila and citizenship education learning was the students' low literacy skills. Solutions are needed to overcome these problems. An alternative solution about literacy based on Pancasila and citizenship education learning model is needed. The citizenship education learning process based on literacy can improve the literacy skills of students. The purpose of this study is to produce a literacy-based Pancasila and citizenship education learning model in senior high school. This type of research is qualitative. The location of this research is senior high schools in Bantul, Yogyakarta. The results showed that the literacy based on Pancasila and citizenship education learning model in senior high schools were: first, school support about literacy culture. Literacy culture facilities include education and school policies and school facilities. Second, the development of literacy based on Pancasila and citizenship education learning include: (1) preliminary stages include: orientation, apperception, motivation, and giving ignorance. Literacy developed is cultural literacy. (2) The core stages include stimulation, problem statements, data collection, verification, and concluding. The literacy developed is cultural literacy, literacy, digital literacy, and scientific literacy. (3) The concluding stage includes summarizing conclusions, reinforcement, feedback, and closing greetings. Literacy activities developed are cultural literacy and reading-writing literacy.

In the strict challenges faced by society, a paradigm shift is needed in the education system that can provide a set of 21st century skills needed by students to deal with every aspect of global life. One of them is scientific literacy. Unfortunately, the scientific literacy ability of students in Indonesia is still low. The Inquiry and SETS models have been widely applied to improve students' scientific literacy skills. However, weaknesses are found such as: students still cannot use their content knowledge to explain scientific phenomena perfectly; and the need for more in-depth inquiry activities so that students' abilities in designing and evaluating scientific investigations obtain excellent results. Therefore, innovation was created to develop the BRADeR learning model based on consideration of the strengths and weaknesses of the inquiry model and SETS as well as theoretical and empirical support. This research serves as a preliminary study in the process of developing the BRADeR model to improve students' scientific literacy skills. This study includes a needs analysis and literature review. The results show that innovation can be maintained as a basis for developing a hypothetical model of the BRADeR learning model. The syntax of the BRADeR model includes: brainstorming, reading, analyzing, decision making, and reflection. The hypothetical model of the BRADeR learning model must be tested to meet the aspects of validity, practicality, and effectiveness to improve the scientific literacy skills of junior high school students.

Abstract The skills that students must possess in 21st century learning are to prepare scientific literacy. This study aims to determine the ability of scientific literacy in the XI grade physics textbook used in Bandung senior high school. This research is a descriptive study that aims to obtain information about developing scientific literacy skills in the three textbooks used. The results showed that the three books did not fully contain the categories of scientific literacy with the average appearance of the categories for the three books of 44% for the knowledge of science, 31% for science as the investigative nature of science, 18% for science as a way of thinking, and 7% for the interaction between science, technology and society. It was concluded that the textbooks used were not optimal in facilitating all aspects of students’ scientific literacy in a balanced manner. Therefore, the results of this study can be used as a basis for designing and developing physics textbooks needed to improve students’ scientific literacy skills.

The purpose of study is to determine the feasibility of learning processes and increase science literacy skills of learners using 'Accelerated Learning' model of learning on the material substance and its form. The method used in this research is pre-experiment. The study was conducted in Triyasa junior high school Bandung class VII-B. The sample in the study were 48 students who were selected using random sampling techniques. Data keterlaksanaan activity of teacher and students is obtained through observation sheets, while data on the literacy skills of learners is obtained through the test description. The results obtained in this study: (1) feasibility study by using 'Accelerated Learning' 'model of learning' is in very good category; (2) the literacy skills of learners sins increase in gain results. The magnitude of the increase scientific literacy of students can be seen from the average N-Gain learners of 0.56 categorized being. Thus there is increasing scientific literacy capability of learners through the 'Accelerated Learning' model of learning in material substance and its form.

This study aims to develop a module based on discovery learning in improving scientific literacy skills in the 11th grade of science class in senior high school. This study refers to the modified Borg and Gall model into 7 steps, (1) preliminary study; (2) planning; (3) preparation of modules; (4) expert judgment; (5) revisions; (6) limited trials; (7) revision II. The research samples are in XI MIPA 2 and XI MIPA class at 3 SMAN 1 Bringin. The technique of collecting data using written tests, questionnaires, and observations. Hypothesis testing to measure the increase in cognitive learning outcomes of students using an independent t-test on n-gain students. Assessments from material experts, subject matter teachers, colleagues, and high school students show that the modules that have been developing suitable for use in the learning process with an achievement level of 86%, 95%, 88%, and 90% respectively. The results of the t-test showed an increase in students' literacy skills (p <0.05) of 0.71 (high category). It can be concluded, the modules that have been developing become worthy to use in the learning process and effective in enhancing the scientific literacy skills of senior high school students in XI class.

Many researchers have developed scientific literacy, but no one has done scientific literacy study on biology teaching materials that include environmental change materials. The purpose of this study is to assess scientific literacy in senior high school biology teaching materials utilized by teachers in Palembang's Ilir Barat I district. This research was conducted using biology teaching materials in the form of books and modules used by teachers in grade X in 13 senior high schools in Ilir Barat I district, Palembang, both in public and private schools. This study employed a descriptive technique with content analysis, which included collecting and assessing biology teaching materials for senior high school grade X. All biology teaching materials for grade X of senior high school utilized in Ilir Barat I district Palembang were used as the population in this study, with environmental changes in biology teaching and learning materials for grade X of senior high school as the sample. The findings revealed that the scientific literacy category was represented in the teaching materials used in 13 senior high schools in the district of Ilir Barat 1 Palembang, with an average percentage of 34.24% for the body of knowledge, 45.35% for a method of investigation, 9.75% for a method of thinking, and 10.86% for the category of science, technology, and society interaction.

This research is based on the problems that exist at senior high school 10 Padang, namely the learning model that is less varied, students' learning competencies are still low. Efforts that can be done are applying the learning model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) with scientific literacy in the  Ecology material at senior high school 10 Padang. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of the learning model that Teams Games Tournamen (TGT) contained scientific literacy to the learning competencies of Grade X students of senior high school 10 Padang. This research is an experimental research with randomized control group posttest only design. The study population is the students of Grade X senior high school 10 Padang 2018/ 2019 academic year which spread into eight classes. Sampling research using simple random sampling. The results were selected class X.8 as experimental class and class X.5 as a control class. The hypothesis in this study was tested using the t-test. The results of the study using the t-test it can be concluded that the competency of students' knowledge of the value of tcount 3.34> ttable 1.67, in the competency attitude the value of tcount 2.15> ttable 1.67, the competency attitudes tcount 5.26> ttable 1.67, and the competence of value skills tcount 1.95> ttable 1.67. This shows that the hypothesis is accepted. So, it can be concluded that the application of TGT models with scientific literacy can improve the competency of knowledge, attitudes, and skills of class X students of senior high school 10 Padang.

This study aims to investigate the effect of Resource Based Learning Design Thinking (RBLDT) model to improve student's creative thinking skills, concept gaining, and digital literacy. It is a quasi-experimental study using pre-test and post-test nonequivalent control group design. Furthermore, it was conducted at several senior high schools in Ambon, such as Senior High School 1, 2, 12, and Senior High School Siwalima Ambon in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 academic year. From each school, three classes were selected, and 36 students were used as the study samples to obtain a total of 432 students. The data were analyzed using ANCOVA, and post hoc LSD test was performed for every significant result obtained. The results showed that the RBLDT learning model has an effect on creative thinking skills, concept gaining, and digital literacy of students in the class XI senior high school on the subject matter of animal tissue (p<0.05). The combination of the RBLDT learning model syntax can improve students' creative thinking skills, concept gaining, and digital literacy better than RBL or DT when implemented separately.   Keywords: Resource-based learning (RBL), design thinking (DT), RBLDT learning model, creative thinking, concept gaining, digital literacy
