Time is essential in the modern industrial-technology society. In order to enhance time management skills in university students, Attitude toward punctuality Scale (ATP) was constructed. There were four studies with the total sample of 1,325 university students in Thailand. Eighty-three items were constructed, but only 36 items were selected by a group of experts. A six \unit rating scale accompanied each of the item, ranging from 1 “not true at all” to 6 “extremely true”.  In study1 with 200 students, 31 out of 36 items met the criteria for item quality.  Results from EFA in study 2 using new 500 students revealed a three-factor model (5 items for cognitive aspect, 4 items for behavioral intention aspect, and 3 items for affective aspect) with the total of 12 items and 59.303% of the total variance accounted for. In study 3 using another 300 students, this model was confirmed by CFA. In study 4 using 225 students, it was found that CSE and FTP were positively and significantly related to the newly constructed ATP (r = .357 and .256, respectively). Furthermore, ATP could predict punctual behavior beyond CSE and FTP for 26.500% with the total of 38.40%. The importance of ATP was discussed. Future experimental studies, as well as, possible intervention programs are suggested.

The purpose of this study is to determine university students' perceptions of their time management skills. The research sample is composed of 384 undergraduate students studying in state universities located in various Turkish cities during the 2016-2017 academic year. The Time Management Questionnaire (TMQ) was used in the collection of the data, which was developed by Britton and Tesser (1991) and adapted to Turkish by Alay and Koçak (2002). It was found that students rated their time management skills as being at the "medium-level". In addition, it was concluded that there was no significant gender-related difference in their perceptions of their skill level in time management. While their perceptions of "time-attitudes" and "time-wasters" differed by gender, no such difference was found regarding their perceptions of "time planning". The study included only state university students as the research group. Similar studies regarding time management skills can be conducted with students or educators in different types of educational settings and levels of education. Furthermore, this study analyzed student perceptions of their own time management skills only by the gender variable. However, their perception of these skills can also be analyzed by other demographic variables such as socio-economic status, age, and department of study.

Time management skills are one of the most important soft skills for university students. Nowaday, some universities in Vietnam have introduced this skill into teaching soft skills, including Tra Vinh University. Time management  skills determine the majority of students’ learning outcomes. However, in fact, not many  students are aware of this. By questionnaires and indepth interviews conducted in May 2019. The authors present the reality of time management skills of the Tra Vinh University students, thereby proposing solutions of integrating time management skills into teaching specialized knowledge to improve the students’ learning quality at Tra Vinh University.

Academic procrastination is a fact related to the delay or postpone of academic work until last minute. This phenomenon is evident in a vast majority of university students, and its occurrence is increasing. In order to analyse possible causes and/or solutions, we studied if longer time for accomplishing an assignment incentives or avoids procrastination among university students. Results showed that both short and long time-frame groups tended to procrastinate in the same way. Additionally, academic grades did not revealed differences between groups, as the procrastination was the same between groups. Thus, this study shows that even with longer period of time to accomplish a task, university students tend to procrastinate, and thus seem to have a negative effect on their assignment grades. Therefore, it seems a current problem and measures should be developed in order to solve it.

Αcademic procrastination, characterized by self-regulation difficulties in delaying the start or completion of academic tasks (Ferrari, 2010), is widespread among university students. One of the most widely used measures of academic procrastination is Procrastination Assessment Scale Students (PASS, Solomon &Rotblum, 1984). However, there is adearth of research investigating its factorial structure using confirmatory factor analysis. Greek studies on academic procrastination are also scarce. The present study investigated academic procrastination among Greek university students (n = 865),as well as the factorial structure of PΑSS. Results from a CFA supported a one factor solution. Moreover, 40.5% of students were characterized as frequent procrastinators, towards reading for the exams, writing essays or attending classes. The reasons students gave for procrastinating were “fear of failure”, “task aversion”, “fear of success /peer pressure” and “lack of assertiveness/ time management skills”. No major, age, or gender differences in academic procrastination were detected. Finally, most students wished to participate in a future anti-procrastination program. Findings increase the ecological validity of current literature and could be potentially useful for counselors and researchers
