E-Learning quality, as with many other theoretical developments about quality, is an open-ended issue. Depending on the perspective, on the way to tackle it, on the aspects everyone considers important, definitions of quality may be different. Even quality issues are distinctly perceived by the management staff, the teachers, and, of course, the students. K-20 students are mature enough to detect which aspects are positive and which deficient. In other words, they are more than able to perceive the quality level of the e-Learning contexts in which they are enrolled. Fortunately, research performed during the last years has produced useful frameworks, guidelines, recommendations, specifications, good practices, benchmarks, etc., with the aim of improving quality in e-Learning. These documents help managers, stakeholders, and teachers to understand the e-Learning variables and their relations and influence on students. Educational actors may use them to improve the quality of their K-20 e-Learning programs. In short, this chapter introduces readers into the most common e-Learning quality concepts and the key points they must observe and ensure in K-20 e-Learning contexts.

This research investigated the implementation of Flipped Approach in EFL classroom with the implementation of the E-learning platform. The participants were 42 sophomore English majors of Advanced Paragraph Writing class at Jember University. A within-subjects research design exposed all participants to have Writing Class by flipped learning and to use the E-learning platform. A one-shot survey design was used in this research by distributing two questionnaires “Perception of Flipped Learning Experience” and “Technology Acceptance Model” and doing the in-class observations as “Flipped Note” to collect the data. Data were analyzed quantitatively through SPSS 16.0 by applying the formula of Descriptive Statistics. The results of this research revealed that the implementation of the flipped approach in the classroom: (1) motivated the students in learning the materials, (2) enhanced the students’ knowledge, (3) and engaged them more in the learning tasks. They explained that the flipped approach gave them a new experience in language learning processes, in which they learned the materials before coming to the classroom so that they could criticize the materials. This way of learning aligns with the idea of student-centred learning. It is notable, however, that the students who did not learn the materials yet, could not criticize the materials and could not reach better outcomes in flipped classroom Moreover, the use of E-learning in the flipped classroom gave the students beneficial outcomes in the learning processes. Students revealed on the Technology Acceptance Model questionnaire that E-learning facilitates them properly, and they wanted to look forward to having E-learning in the future learning processes. Despite this finding, there remain limitation on the “server down” issue which needs to be straightened for more accessible E-learning among users.

The Salt Valley of Añana is located in the Basque Country, about thirty kilometers from its capital, Vitoria-Gasteiz. This is a remarkable example of the interaction of man with the environment in the formation of a unique landscape whose origin dates back to the Neolithic, preserved and kept alive for more than 7,000 years, in a dynamic evolution that has allowed it to adapt to rhythms of production that ensure its sustainability. In the process, the minimum resources have been used with the maximum performance in an absolutely sustainable and ecological way applying an ingenious technology. The result is a humanized landscape of 12 hectares, where four kilometers of wooden canals lead the salt water from the springs to the more than five thousand staggered production platforms built with stone, wood and clay, where the sun, the wind and the “Salineros” (saltmen) work together to obtain one of the best salts in the world: Añana Salt. The Salt Valley is a paradigm of a wise and discreet human intervention on the environment, taking advantage of it to the limit. A wonderful example of popular wisdom that is reflected in a landscape of incredible but simple beauty, an example of sustainability and ecological respect, which has also managed to incorporate the new demands of quality, management and uses of contemporary society. A society that is perfectly intertwined with him, that lives it, exploits it, maintains it and enjoys it, implying itself vigorously in his management and that, proud of him, makes the rest of humanity participate.
