The aim of the paper is to justify why contemporary economics must be reoriented from the direction of Economic Growth to the direction of Sustainable Development. Human society is at a deadly curve. The Economic crisis is only one slice of Gordon’s Knot of Crises of our Civilization. The Economy is facing system challenges without precedence. Reasons for this situation are different fetishes of present positive and normative economics. The author explores the main aspects of diagnoses, prognoses, analyses, assessments, and present solutions concerning economy. Of fundamental importance are: the essence of the global crisis, new challenges facing Western civilization in the near future, and fundamental misunderstandings in the proposed solutions of crucial problems. The one chance for an adequate solution to the critical situation is the Strategy of Sustainable Development. In Poland this strategy is absent in mainstream economics as a theory of economy and as the foundation of rational policy. It concerns a very broad front of economic sciences and economic technologies. Economic academic education is also not adequate to the very serious situation facing graduates in the future. Consciousness, knowledge and abilities of economic professionals are good for the past, not for the nearest future. In Poland, an additional problem is a lack of common economic academic education in English. Present economics and economy must be verified with many original (not translated) settlements and conclusions concerning sustainable development from economics and from other sciences and from reality outside economy. Of crucial importance have been settlements and conclusions of ecology and of sociology on the basis of information technologies.

Reports on the news about nature or man-made catastrophes are not uncommon. We hear constantly that a human catastrophe has taken place somewhere in the world. In those cases where the infrastructure could possibly be destroyed, it becomes clear that a rescue mission is difficult to achieve. We need special rescue teams, who despite the difficult rescue mission, save lives and reduce suffering. The special organizations involved in catastrophes are called humanitarian organizations. In addition, the specific skills and abilities that these organizations have should be mainly in logistics. In this paper, the author goes into more details about humanitarian logistics and shows its importance in disaster areas. Unfortunately, these humanitarian organizations have many weaknesses and challenges. As a result, these organizations are not well developed, despite their importance. In contrast, the commercial logistics companies, which are well developed, have much strength in management, information technologies, etc. This research defines humanitarian logistics and describes its weaknesses and limitations. Furthermore, it deals with the specifics of humanitarian organizations. The special features of these organizations are their rescue missions, especially in destroyed infrastructure areas. This research demonstrates the various similarities between commercial and humanitarian logistics and points to the potential of knowledge and experience transfer from commercial logistics to humanitarian logistics. This research compares humanitarian logistics with commercial logistics. In doing so, the author tries to gain a deeper insight into the potential of transferring know-how and experience from retail logistics to humanitarian logistics in order to strengthen humanitarian logistics. The research of logistics is a very dynamic world in which humanitarian logistics is becoming increasingly important both in research and in practice. In particular, the demands on logistics in general and on humanitarian logistics, in particular, will increase significantly in the near future because it is estimated that the number and impact of both natural and human disasters is increasing (Kumar et al., 2012).Murphy (2015) analyzed the past data of catastrophes and derived a forecast for the future frequency of disasters and their impact: “Because of the increasing frequency (and severity) of disasters over the past 50 years, humanitarian logistics is likely to be an important topic into the foreseeable future”.

The introduction of socio-pedagogical ideas into the historical and literary heritage enriches the content of training, makes it possible to enrich their practical skills through familiarity with historical experience, on the one hand, on the other hand, it enriches the inner world of social teachers as specialists, connecting the feeling and consciousness, thereby creating conditions for successful effective activities. In human society, various types of contradictions have always appeared at any time, but at the same time , methods and ways to eliminate them have been invented. Unfortunately, we have recently become interested in foreign technologies of training and education, their ideas, and have lost sight of the rich experience of the past, which includes methods and methods of social education of children and youth. The problem is that it is necessary to identify them and use them in practice. The activity of a social pedagogue , in particular, is associated with rehabilitation, socialization and other types of work among children, youth and adults. The history of social pedagogy spiritually enriches future specialists on the one hand, and on the other, helps to accumulate the experience of the past in order to use them in solving modern problems. Literary and historical materials concerning the social side of the life of the Kazakh people in this regard is important and essential.

Abstract The implementation of up-to-date technologies in the accounting system of modern entities is a topical subject, by the desire of enterprises to align themselves with the current of international globalization but also by the requirements imposed by the science and practice to join the accounting main issues in the field. The accounting technique evolved with the technological innovations, related to each evolutionary period of the human society. The paper aims to identifying the factors that influenced the whole process of the development of information technologies in the financial-accounting field; identifying the main issues related to the technological interaction in accounting and, in this context, identifying the tools and technological supports in the evolution of the accounting technique, from the empirical forms of accounting to the present day, in the age of globalization, amid the continuous need for normalization and standardization of accounting procedures, especially applicable to the consolidation of financial results. Nowadays, the most used digital technology in computerized accounting and management is Cloud-Computing ERP solutions, a form of digital accounting that will represent the critical mass of accounting information system in the near future, and this paper will present and discuss such solutions.

It is commonly accepted that sustainable development covers economic, social and ecological aspects and maintains vital exchange process between socioeconomic systems and natural environment. Interdisciplinary subjects emerge as a particular result of sustainable development. Energy planning is one of them. In the past inadequate technologies and inaccessible data limited many research activities. At present great progress is achieved in the fields mentioned above. The cheapest and most precise source of data the is recent register of real estate. Therefore it is possible to design a database for energy planning, where classification criteria could be selected and data could be summarized and structured according to these criteria. The possibilities to use these data would be provided in particular models. Using data processing programs could do it. Some examples are given how databases are used in energy planning and some suggestions how make necessary changes are presented in the article. It is also mentioned what kind of extra data are required to have a multidimensional database. Data are related with data processing programs in order to improve and accelerate accumulation of data. This, in turn, helps using data widely for energy planning.

On January, 1st 2004 the new German Investment Act (Investmentgesetz – “InvestG”) has entered into force and has established a new legal frame for funds. Especially hedge funds are regulated by German law for the first time. Nevertheless the solutions, used to establish hedge fund investments in Germany in the past, remain legal and it is argued that they will continue to play a practical role. The new InvestG on the one hand modernises German law, but on the other hand still clings to a somewhat old-fashioned regulatory approach. At the same time there are efforts at the European level to harmonise European hedge fund legislation. As a result an analysis of the German hedge fund regulation has to deal with three different, partly overlapping regimes: A past, that is still not bygone (II.), a present which is still not modern at all (III.), and a near future that will bring more changes and probably lead to an up-to-date regulation (IV.). After an introduction to these three regimes, I shall conclude with a short summary pointing out the main deficits of the new German legislation (V).

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to provide a systematic literature review and contributes to academic understanding and practitioner needs of third party logistics (3PL) which were developed over the past decade. Design/methodology/approach Through a structured selection search of the entire English-language academic literature, after final refinement, the authors identified 95 relevant studies in this context. A succinct classification of literature has been performed to collate the entire literature encompassing viewpoints of both academicians and practitioners. Findings The key finding of this review suggests the opportunities exist in the understanding of the “optimization capabilities” of a 3PL provider. The authors found that when on the one side, constructs such as “supply chain vision”, “creativity”, “impact of geographical reach of services on the selection criteria” need more attention; on the other hand, operational dimensions of 3PL such as packaging ability, repair service, procedural compliance, conflict resolution, role of HR policies and mitigation of external risks provides a chance for future researchers to delve deeper into these domains. Furthermore, the authors also presented a comprehensive research gap framework highlighting potential research topics to be explored in near future. Research limitations/implications The paper captures peer-reviewed literature from the past decade and has been selected from the Web of Science database only. Originality/value The paper identifies different research gaps, namely, conceptual, contextual and methodological, to understand and develop opportunities for future research in the domain of 3PL. The paper makes a careful attempt by linking the synthesis of this literature review to previous literature reviews to establish the knowledge continuum of third party logistics.

The article proposes a model for forecasting the success of student’s learning. The model is a Markov process with continuous time, such as the process of “death and reproduction”. As the parameters of the process, the intensities of the processes of obtaining and assimilating information are offered, and the intensity of the process of assimilating information takes into account the attitude of the student to the subject being studied. As a result of applying the model, it is possible for each student to determine the probability of a given formation of ownership of the material being studied in the near future. Thus, in the presence of an automated information system of the university, the implementation of the model is an element of the decision support system by all participants in the educational process. The examples given in the article are the results of an experiment conducted at the Institute of Space and Information Technologies of Siberian Federal University under conditions of blended learning, that is, under conditions when classroom work is accompanied by independent work with electronic resources.

ABSTRACTSustainable development urges to merge the three complex dimensions: global economy, global society and physically earth environment. Sachs (2015) states that sustainable development is the expert effort to comprehend the world and the method to solve the crowded earth issues by the global population growth that nine times increase than the first industry era. Education is one of fatal element for sustainable development phase especially for the human (society) development. Human development becomes the main core of invesment for economy development because it is prepared for the youngst as the next generation to develop economic improvement individually for their family and also for their community (include for the State’s development interest). Marshall, Hine and East (2017) studied about the education which develop the autonomous motivation to support individu execute the pro-environmental behaviors (PEBs). This autonomous motivation will establish the environmental attitude and personality in decision making and action of sustainable environment protection and preservation. Keywords: sustainable development, education, pro-environmental behaviors ABSTRAKPembangunan berkelanjutan berupaya untuk mengkaitkan tiga sistem yang rumit yaitu sistem ekonomi dunia, sistem sosial dunia dan lingkungan fisik bumi.

The ʿUthmānic way of writing (al-rasm al-ʿUthmānī) is a science that specialises in the writing of Qur'anic words in accordance with a specific ‘pattern’. It follows the writing style of the Companions at the time of the third caliph, ʿUthmān b. ʿAffān, and was attributed to ʿUthmān on the basis that he was the one who ordered the collection and copying of the Qur'an into the actual muṣḥaf. This article aims to expound on the two fundamental functions of al-rasm al-ʿUthmānī: that of paying regard to the ‘correct’ pronunciation of the words in the muṣḥaf, and the pursuit of the preclusion of ambiguity which may arise in the mind of the reader and his auditor. There is a further practical aim for this study: to show the connection between modern orthography and the ʿUthmānic rasm in order that we, nowadays, are thereby able to overcome the problems faced by calligraphers and writers of the past in their different ages and cultures.

Evidence of how history and culture have been or should be harnessed to promote sustainability in remote and rural communities is mounting. To be sustainable, development must come from within, it must serve future generations as well as those in the present and it must attend to the vitality of culture, society, the economy and the environment. Historical research has an important contribution to make to sustainability, especially if undertaken collaboratively, by challenging and transcending the boundaries between disciplines and between the professional researchers, communities and organisations which serve and work with them. The Sustainable Development Goals’ motto is ‘leaving no one behind’, and for the 17 Goals to be met, there must be a dramatic reshaping of the ways in which we interact with each other and with the environment. Enquiry into the past is a crucial part of enabling communities, in all their shapes and sizes, to develop in sustainable ways. This article considers the rural world and posits that historical enquiry has the potential to deliver insights into the world in which we live in ways that allow us to overcome the negative legacies of the past and to inform the planning of more positive and progressive futures. It draws upon the work undertaken with the Landscapes and Lifescapes project, a large partnership exploring the historic links between the Scottish Highlands and the Caribbean, to demonstrate how better understandings of the character and consequences of previous development might inform future development in ways that seek to tackle injustices and change unsustainable ways of living. What we show is how taking charge of and reinterpreting the past is intrinsic to allowing the truth (or truths) of the present situation to be brought to the surface and understood, and of providing a more solid platform for overcoming persistent injustices.
