The article advocates the need of dialectical approach to the definition of concept discourse in the communicative paradigm. As a methodological framework for such approach is proposed a determinate system of structural- semantic models of creation of communicative meaning based on categories, predicates and Aristotle’s topic-dialectic. Dialectic approach allows you to learn the language in a dynamic aspect, i.e. in the natural process of communication, as well as to organize the formed in research practice terminology definitions.

Introduction. The purpose of this article is to define methodological grounds of assessment of agricultural land using efficiency. The article is devoted to definition of the indicators system of land using efficiency. Methods of research. The solution of the tasks in the article is carried out with the help of such scientific and special research methods as: analysis and synthesis, systematization and generalization, the dialectical approach. Results. The structural balance between cost of land and production resources has been investigated, which leads to the need of many alternatives for the purpose and use of the respective territories on the basis of the modern system of land using efficiency assessment when determining the benefits of land resources using for agricultural production. Originality. It has been proved that to create and enforce a uniform indicators system of land using efficiency is necessary to determine all the factors that affect land use, to reflect the degree and type of each factor influence using the indicators of efficiency of the land use. Indicators of economic efficiency of land using and the intensity of land use are systemized. Practical importance. The methodical approach of agricultural lands using evaluation in the following areas has been justifed in the article: completeness of land use, rational land use, the level of land use intensity, efficient land use. The methodical approach has been presented to the calculation of potential losses from specific land uses in specific circumstances. It is proposed to assess the land using efficiency on the basis of indicators calculations of environmental and economic damage. Basic scientific principles can be used in the practice of agricultural enterprises. Keywords: management, methodological bases, evaluation, efficiency, and agricultural land use.

Landslide is a natural process that is common in hilly areas, whether natural hills or areas that have been disturbed by human activity. Landslide is a type of geological hazard that become an issue and often gets attention at all levels of society. Increased of landslide cases in Malaysia and generate varies problems of social, economic, technical and legal cause a specific and precise definition of landslide to be accepted by all stakeholders in the country to allow a comprehensive landslide disaster risk management action to be created. Problems arise among scientists, professionals and other stakeholders to use the agreed upon of a geohazard and geodisaster term when translated from English. This paper discusses the acceptable definition and terms of the "geohazard" landslides in the context of Malaysia.

Even though the theories of caring and health have been developed largely along separate tracts of nursing theory, there is considerable overlap between them. Each is embedded in the explanation and application of the other. This paper illustrates some of the connections between caring and health. Moreover, one’s definition of health makes a difference in the intent of nursing practice. The meaning of health as expanding consciousness is elaborated on as a research-practice process. Within this context, Jean Watson’s views of consciousness are compared with those of the author.

This article is devoted to the using of public-private partnership (PPP) in the context of systematic development of gastronomic tourism. The author defined the definition of «public-private partnership», proposed a mechanism of PPP in the field of tourist services, and a scheme for assessing the effectiveness of the organizational-economic mechanism of PPP in the management of gastronomic tourism. Goal. Research on the using of public-private partnership (PPP) in the field of tourism, namely the development and establishment of gastronomic tourism. Identification of the positive aspects of its formation. Method. The dialectical approach has been applied to the consideration of the identified problems with the simultaneous using of general ones: systematic, systematical analysis and modeling of economic research and its using in gastronomic tourism. Results. The author's vision of the mechanism of PPP in the field of tourist services and the scheme for assessing the effectiveness of the organizational-economic mechanism of public-private partnership in the management of gastronomic tourism are presented, and the classification of the main PPP actors in the service sector is developed. Scientific novelty. For the first time the organizational-economic mechanism of public-private partnership was proposed and the scheme of efficiency of its using in gastronomic tourism was developed. Practical significance. The model of public-private partnership in the field of tourist services is developed, the mechanism of its interaction at the level of the territory (territorial communities) is determined, the key element of which is the creation of a specialized platform for discussion and consideration of the interests of the local population, authorities and businesses when adopting a program of development of tourism in a certain territory (component is the development of gastronomic tourism).

When global and interdisciplinary scholars share a field of inquiry, terms must be defined so that there is a common understanding of key concepts to guide research. Similarly, applied knowledge requires accepted definitions of terms so that a cohesive message can be disseminated. The “Glossary for Cultural Transformation: The Language of Partnership and Domination” defines key terms related to cultural transformation and the partnership/domination continuum, to provide a resource for research, practice, and community applications of Riane Eisler’s partnership paradigm. Erratum Issued March 15, 2016. On page 21, the definition of "Matrilineal, matrifocal, matristic, matrilocal" should read: Matrilineal, matrifocal, matristic, matrilocal: Matrilineal refers to societies in which descent and inheritance are traced for children in terms of their mother rather than their father. In family organizations, matrifocal and matristic mean mother-centered; these families are generally also matrilocal, meaning that both daughters and sons reside in their mothers’ households, and of men entering into women’s family houses or villages upon marriage. According to Eisler, the shift from matriliny to patriliny played a major role in establishing dominator social and sexual relations which led to the invention of one-sided monogamy, along with prostitution, adultery, and illegitimacy, as well as the harsh punishment of women for any sexual and personal independence, along with the institutionalization and glorification of warfare.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to explore the nature of brand contract in B2B from two perspectives: the theological and pragmatic. Design/methodology/approach – A review of the branding literature challenges the dominant notion of the brand covenant as a firm driven, unilateral promise, referred to as a theological contract. The study adds to this the pragmatic perspective of a social contract, as deployed by the social sciences and IMP literatures. A tentative framework of a dialectical contract is developed through drawing on three cases of Chinese suppliers for the focal firm, IKEA. Findings – First, both types of contract are identified in the firm’s practices. Second, the specific goals and roles of managers and suppliers in each contract are defined. The theological contract is used by managers to strengthen suppliers’ beliefs in the company’s vision and mission, while the pragmatic one is employed by both parties for the implementation of the brand’s norms and brand equity. Third, a new framework for and the definition of a dual, dialectical brand contract in B2B are developed. Practical implications – Managers are advised to mediate between the theological pledge of their brand and its pragmatic implementation. Originality/value – The paper challenges the dominant theological discourse in extant branding literature and puts forward a dialectical approach as a new proposition.

The idea of patients self-administering their medication in hospital is not new; it was first cited in literature in 1959. Up to date, there is a growing body of literature that recognizes the importance of this approach. In this current state of the literature, self-administration of medication in hospital is positioned in the context of the definition of health as proposed by Huber et al. and Orem’s self-care deficit theory: first identify the concept of medication self-administration, as well as the prevalence, existing procedures, tools, and proven effects of interventions; then the findings should point the way forward for research, practice, and policy.

The literature reveals little Australian academic study of the phenomenon of patient satisfaction and identifies severalproblems in current research practice. A theoretical discussion about the phenomenon of 'patient satisfaction' is for themost part absent, the rigour in the methods applied is often dubious, a definition of patient satisfaction is not agreedand the patient experience is often not the focus of research. To address some of these issues inductive research wasconducted with Australian patients to explore what they considered important for patient satisfaction to exist. A seriesof 52 interviews were conducted with twenty elective surgery patients in an Australian teaching hospital. Patients wereinterviewed on admission to hospital, within one week of discharge from hospital and between six and eight weeksafter discharge. Research with patients identified 16 themes that were important to make a patient's hospital staysatisfactory. Qualitative data have provided a foundation to better understand what 'patient satisfaction' means in itseveryday use. Such an approach is faithful to the concerns and priorities of the patients who are the users of healthcare services.

If quantum computing is located somewhere between physics and theoretical computing, a basic question concerns which characteristic features are derived from the latter. From a logical point of view, the concept of computation provides a definition of the natural process of calculare. It rests on trust that a procedure of reason can be reproduced mechanically. Turing argues for the adequacy of the concept by introducing a requirement of "observability," which is expressed through finiteness and locality conditions. However, according to the uncertainty principle, no computational path can be observed. How does quantum computing contend with Turing's constraints? What observables are relevant to the computation? This is an attempt to sharpen such questions.

The leaf hopper, Cicadulina mbila Naude, is normally an efficient vector of the virus of streak disease of maize (Storey, 1925). I have, however, encountered exceptional individuals of this insect-species which were unable to transmit the virus (Storey, 1928). An attempt to discover the reason for their anomalous behaviour led me to undertake studies of the breeding of this species. The results so obtained, which show that the ability to transmit is an hereditary character, have been briefly reported (Storey, 1931), and I now present a full account of this work. Since these studies introduce a new conception into pathology, I find it necessary to give my definition of certain current terms and to utilise two new ones. I employ transmission in the restricted sense of the act of transfer of a virus by a vector from a diseased to a healthy plant in the natural process of that vector's feeding . I introduce the term activity to denote an insect’s inherent potentiality to transmit a virus ; inactivity to denote the absence of that inherent potentiality. An insect is viruliferous or non-viruliferous according as it is, or is not, actually carrying a virus in such a way that it inoculates that virus into a plant on which it feeds, and in consequence causes the plant to develop the symptoms of the disease.
