The Problem of Personal Enhancement of Upperclassmen the Context of the New Federal State Educational Standard Implementation
The paper concerns the problem of how to ensure personal enhancement of school students in the context of implementation of the new Federal State Educational Standard in the general schools practice. Discussed are the essence of the “personality” concept and how it evolves in the course of social and cultural changes. It is emphasized that personal development occurs through activities, communications and self-cognition against the effects of certain factors. Challenges of transition to the personality-oriented paradigm are outlined. Also shown are the links between personal enhancement and the educational environment, socialization and sociability. The author highlights the most efficient methods to ensure personal enhancement of students in the course of the educational process.
