Prospects of hydrodynamic filters application are demonstrated through the review of current state of hydrodynamic filtering. Acknowledged schemes of hydrodynamic filters are Classified by 3 parameters: presence/absence of sludge liquid, frame and filter design, extra force field creation means. Advantages and disadvantages of every type of hydrodynamic filter are noted. Major attitudes to hydrodynamic filtering are considered with deterministic approach. Special attention is paid to hydrodynamic filters with flow vortex of “cylinder in cylinder” and “cylinder in cone” types. Promicing directions for further research of Hydrodynamic filtration are proposed.

Ensuring the economic security of municipalities is one of the key conditions for stable socio-economic de-velopment of the region. Recently, intraregional differentiation of territories has been growing, which increases the risk of the formation of negative factors that reduce the quality of life of the population. In order to neutralize and prevent acute social and economic problems, constant monitoring of the current state of the municipal econ-omy is necessary. As such a management tool, a rating assessment of the economic security of municipalities in the region can be used. The ranking of territories allows you to visualize the relative advantages and disadvantages of the development of territories. In addition, a systematic comparative analysis of controlled socio-economic pa-rameters will allow regional authorities to evaluate the results of the activities of local governments and improve the effectiveness of regional socio-economic policy. The article proposes a methodology for rating the economic security of municipalities, during which it is possible to visually assess the depth of the threats studied at the level of each territory. To this end, the proposed methodology is based on a system of indicators that identify the main problem areas of the socio-economic condition of the territories. To form the rating, the studied indicators are normalized and integral indices characterizing the level of economic security of municipalities are calculated. The methodology proposes criteria for assessing the level of municipal economic security (high; above average; aver-age; crisis; critical). According to the results of the study, a rating of municipal districts of the Khabarovsk Terri-tory was compiled. The study showed that the territories of the region are characterized by an unstable socio-economic condition. The leading positions in the rating are occupied by areas with an average level of economic security. Most municipal districts of the region have a crisis level of economic security, which provides for the de-velopment of a set of measures aimed at eliminating existing problems.


The early and long-term development of promising young athletes is a decisive factor in being internationally competitive in top-level sports. Among the multitude of talent criteria suggested in the literature, motivation plays a prominent role in the area of psychological characteristics. It is recognised in practice and research as a relevant criterion for performance development across all sports. This article provides an overview of the current state of talent research in the field of motivation. First, the most common theories of motivation in competitive sports are described, then different measurement methods and their advantages and disadvantages as well as the predictive value of motivation for athletic performance are discussed. Finally, implications for practice are suggested. It can be summarised that motivation in sport is conceptualised and operationalised in different ways and that the decision for the right measurement instrument depends on the goal of the assessment. To get a comprehensive picture of an athlete’s motivational status, it is useful to assess several aspects of motivation through different methods.

The article discusses the current state of application and development of cloud computing, the main advantages and disadvantages of their use in the states, enterprises and in scientific activity. The standards, regulations and guidance documents in the field of cloud computing information security are developed and analyzed, developed by the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and the results of a detailed analysis of the issues information security in the cloud.


Rank level fusion is one of the after matching fusion methods used in multibiometric systems. The problem of rank information aggregation has been raised before in various fields. This chapter extensively discusses the rank level fusion methodology, starting with existing literature from the last decade in different application scenarios. Several approaches of existing biometric rank level fusion methods, such as plurality voting method, highest rank method, Borda count method, logistic regression method, and quality-based rank fusion method, are discussed along with their advantages and disadvantages in the context of the current state-of-the-art in the discipline.

Adsorption heat pumps are becoming increasingly popular. Due to their design, they enable application of low-temperature heat sources. Evaporators for adsorption chillers make one of the basic design elements determining the correct operation of these devices. The specificity of operation in low pressures and temperatures is the reason why their design significantly differs from that of conventional evaporators. The pluralities of existing solutions as well as the lack of a systematic review of them cause difficulties in correct evaluation and choice of design. The paper presents the current state of art as well as a review of the existing solutions of evaporators used in adsorption heat pumps. The purpose of the review research is to present various solutions of evaporators as well as indicating their advantages and disadvantages in order facilitate the choice of the optimal design.

Grapevine canes are viticulture waste that is usually discarded without any further use. However, recent studies have shown that they contain significant concentrations of health-promoting compounds, such as stilbenes, secondary metabolites of plants produced as a response to biotic and abiotic stress from fungal disease or dryness. Stilbenes have been associated with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-microbial properties and they have been tested as potential treatments of cardiovascular and neurological diseases, and even cancer, with promising results. Stilbenes have been described in the different genus of the Vitaceae family, the Vitis genera being one of the most widely studied due to its important applications and economic impact around the world. This review presents an in-depth study of the composition and concentration of stilbenes in grapevine canes. The results show that the concentration of stilbenes in grapevine canes is highly influenced by the Vitis genus and cultivar aspects (growing conditions, ultraviolet radiation, fungal attack, etc.). Different methods for extracting stilbenes from grapevine canes have been reviewed, and the extraction conditions have also been studied, underlining the advantages and disadvantages of each technique. After the stilbenes were extracted, they were analyzed to determine the stilbene composition and concentration. Analytical techniques have been employed with this aim, in most cases using liquid chromatography, coupled with others such as mass spectrometry and/or nuclear magnetic resonance to achieve the individual quantification. Finally, stilbene extracts may be applied in multiple fields based on their properties. The five most relevant are preservative, antifungal, insecticide, and biostimulant applications. The current state-of-the-art of the above applications and their prospects are discussed.

Abstract This review covers new developments and their clinical implications in three areas: platelet antigen polymorphisms, inhibition of platelet glycoprotein IIb-IIIa, and autoimmune thrombocytopenia (ITP). In Section I, Dr. Kunicki reviews platelet polymorphisms and their clinical implications. A current tabulation of the numerous platelet antigens, both those that are platelet specific and not platelet specific, are summarized. The immunogenic clinical implications of these polymorphisms are considered, including fetal and neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia, post transfusion purpura, and refractoriness to platelet transfusion. The functional relationship to hemostasis and thrombosis is also discussed, in particular whether one haplotype of the PIA1/PIA2 (HPA-1a/1b) polymorphism predisposes to myocardial infarction. Finally, novel investigations of polymorphisms will be considered, including hormonal induction of certain polymorphisms. In Section II, Dr. Michelson reviews the newest generation of platelet inhibitors, those blocking glycoprotein IIB/IIIA, from the point of view of the hematologist who might be consulted about a patient receiving this form of treatment. The current use of available IIb-IIIa inhibitors and those in trial and the accepted and possible future indications for their use are addressed. The mechanism of action and actual and theoretical advantages and disadvantages of each inhibitor are explored. Scenarios that prompt consultation with a hematologist are presented, including management of bleeding, thrombocytopenia, and management of the patient requiring emergency surgery. In Section III, Dr. Bussel reviews controversies in ITP, looking at both the current state of the art and the potential for the future. Case presentations are used to illustrate the issues in both children and adults. Three primary areas are addressed: 1) the diagnosis of ITP, 2) when and for which patient to recommend splenectomy, and 3) the management of the refractory splenectomized patient who still has a low platelet count and bleeding symptoms.

Introduction. Each investor is interested in obtaining maximum income at all stages of the investment process. There is a need to hedge investment risks to increase the overall level of expected profitability. Nowadays, solving the problem of choosing ways to diversify an investment portfolio requires expanded interpretation. Purpose. The article aims to carry out the analysis of current state of the market of alternative investments; to investigate the efficiency of investing in non-traditional tangible assets; to identify the potential benefits and risks for an investor from investing in a wine collection. Results. The article investigates functioning of modern market of alternative investments, in particular investments in wine collections. Qualitative and quantitative analyses of the current level of alternative investments development around the world have been conducted. The paper has also considered the main aspects of non-traditional investment activities along with their key advantages and disadvantages. The risks which are associated with attracting investment in wine collections have been analysed.


Soil erosion is a major factor in their economic and environmental degradation. Protection of land from erosion is characterized by insufficient methodological support at the local territorial level. Purpose. To reveal the advantages and disadvantages of the current state of anti-erosion design on the example of a particular agricultural enterprise. Methods. Cartographic, with application of geoinformation technologies, computational, statistical and mathematical. Results. On the example of one of the private farms of the Kharkiv region, the draw backs of the existing structure of the crops area of agricultural crops in the anti-erosion aspect are shown. It was optimized taking in to account the specialization of the economy. The soil was washed out in different scenarios of land use. The introduction of erosion-optimized crop rotation allows to reduce the forecast of soil fault in field crop rotation by 1.3 times. Conclusions. The structure of the crop area of agricultural crops, even meeting the formal requirements of normative acts, does not provide adequate protection against water erosion. It requires additional expertise using mathematical models of erosion. Minor deviations from the recommended standards of permissible flushing can be adjusted by means of agrotechnical measurеs, significant – additional organizational and agronomic measures.
