This paper deals with the systematic study of the microstructural characteristics of clay sediments. These characteristics which are closely connected to the physical and mechanical character of the sediments, are concerned with: a)the structural constituents, b)the microporosity and c)the structural bonds of the sediments. For the determination of the structural characteristics of clay sediments the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and the Optical Microscope are widely used with a supplementary mineralogical analysis of sediment components and the determination of several physical and mechanical characteristics. The observations under the microscope must be focused on the distribution of mineralogical facies and micropores, on the size and shape of clay (micro-)aggregates, as well as on the kind of authigenic facies (e.g. micrite, sparry calcite) which play the role of cementing material. The proposed methodology was applied to the study of the microstructures of marly sediments from Northern Péloponnèse and the following types of microstructures were determined: a)matrix-skeletal, mixed type, coarse dispersed of low orientation, b)matrix, coagulative, medium dispersed of medium orientation and c)crystallized-cementated, fine or medium dispersed of low orientation.

Described the experimental setup and presents the results of theoretical and experimental analytical studies of structural characteristics (coefficient of fully wood - porosity or the porosity) and physico-mechanical properties (coefficients of internal and external friction) of the materials crushed wood, a generalization which allowed us to obtain the calculated dependences for determination of their size by volume of bunkers axisymmetric geometry.

This paper addresses the problem of describing the spread of COVID-19 by a mathematical model introducing all the possible control actions as prevention (informative campaign, use of masks, social distancing, vaccination) and medication. The model adopted is similar to SEIQR, with the infected patients split into groups of asymptomatic subjects and isolated ones. This distinction is particularly important in the current pandemic, due to the fundamental the role of asymptomatic subjects in the virus diffusion. The influence of the control actions is considered in analysing the model, from the calculus of the equilibrium points to the determination of the reproduction number. This choice is motivated by the fact that the available organised data have been collected since from the end of February 2020, and almost simultaneously containment measures, increasing in typology and effectiveness, have been applied. The characteristics of COVID-19, not fully understood yet, suggest an asymmetric diffusion among countries and among categories of subjects. Referring to the Italian situation, the containment measures, as applied by the population, have been identified, showing their relation with the government's decisions; this allows the study of possible scenarios, comparing the impact of different possible choices.

The 1.4301 stainless steel is part of the category of austenitic stainless steels, steels which do no undergo heat treatments in general, as they are intended for hot plastic deformation in particular. The aim of the research presented in this paper was to obtain significantly improved characteristics of the resistance properties in relation to the values obtained under classical conditions, by applying heat treatments. Samples taken from the delivery state material underwent annealing, quenching and ageing heat treatments. Subsequently, the samples thus treated were subjected to tests enabling the determination of the correlations between the heat treatment parameters, the structure and the properties.

The article highlights the issues related to the study of physical and mechanical characteristics of bulk materials, namely internal friction coefficients in static and dynamic modes. An innovative device of the carousel type for determining the frictional characteristics of bulk materials is described, which allows to implement the tasks of practical determination of dynamic coefficients of internal friction. Presented the program, methodology and results of research on the practical study of the internal friction coefficient of typical bulk products of agricultural production in the range of linear velocities of displacement of layers from 0 to 2.79 m/s, the reliability of which is not lower than 0.878.

The purpose of this study is to determine the role of brand trust in achieving the competitive advantage of PT Pos Indonesia Bandung freight forwarding services. The method in this study uses quantitative methods. This research uses the Stastical Pakage for the Social Sciences (SPSS) program which aims to measure the effect of brand trust on the competitive advantage of PT Pos Indonesia Bandung freight forwarding services. The sampling technique of this study used purposive sampling and the determination of samples was calculated using the Rao Purba formula with a total sample of 96 people. The respondents of this study were users of freight forwarding services, especially PT Pos Indonesia and other freight forwarding services (TIKI, JNE, JT, etc.). The design of this study uses descriptive and verification to assess the picture and influence between variables. The results of this study indicate that brand trust has a positive and significant effect on the competitive advantage of PT Pos Indonesia Bandung freight forwarding services.

This study aims to analyze the process production of sausage noodle roll, the income and production costs, the marketing action and determine the position based on the life cycle of sausage noodle roll as well learn the role of supporting service for sausage noodle roll in CV Cucurutuku Ceria. This research method is a case study. The determination of consumer samples is taken by Convenience Sampling. Analysis of the data used in this research is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. The data of this study was collected in May 2019 until June 2019. The results showed that the value R/C>1, that means sausage noodle roll business was profitable. Calculation of the cost of production on sausage rolls noodles amounted to Rp1,046.53. The BEP unit calculation has been achieved for a long time, in the amount of 42,791 units from the BEP calculation of 604 units. The noodle rolls sausage has also obtained a profit from the selling price of Rp ,000.00 per pcs from the calculation of the BEP price of Rp1,238.58 per pcs. The marketing mix that has been utilized by CV Cucurutuku Ceria is collaboration with e-commerce companies namely gofood and grabfood to facilitate consumers in the ordering process and CV Cucurutuku Ceria has utilized social media as promotional activities for sausage noodle roll product. In the product life cycle, sausage noodle roll are in a stage of decline. CV Cucurutuku Ceria has not fully utilized the government policies regarding the protection and empowerment of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.Keywords: cost, noodle, position, and sausage

A given explanatory theory T falls into circular reasoning if the only way to determine its explanandum is through the application of T. To find an (often previous) underlying theory T′ that determines T′s explanandum helps us save T from this accusation of circularity. We follow the structuralist view of theories in presenting and dealing with this issue, by applying it to particular theories. More specifically, we focus on the relationship between the Darwinian theory of common ancestry and the determination of homologies.

Abstract This study aims to determine the cause of fluctuations in the market price of tuna "Bersehati". The importance of the role of marketing as a key achievement of the goals and targets of fisheries, it is necessary to conduct research related to the field of marketing, as well as by looking at the fluctuations in the price of marketing, this research is more focused on price fluctuations in market held fish "Bersehati" City Manado. Research methods used in this field practice is a case study, namely an intensive investigation of a person or an individual, is also a social unit. Data were analyzed descriptively. Descriptive analysis was to provide an overview and analysis of the information by using the author's own words, in a systematic and easily understood in accordance with the data that has been obtained. Further discussion or interpreted to provide a review of the data. Based on the results of the study and discussion of a number of conclusions as follows : 1) fluctuations in the market price of fish "Bersehati" caused by variations in the number and type of fish on offer ; 2) In terms of supply, price fluctuations occurring in the tuna market "Bersehati" Manado is caused by the influence of fishing season, and the influence of technology ; 3) in terms of demand, price fluctuations caused by the influence of tuna consumer income, prices of other goods influence and shape the market, 4) the high price of fish occur on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and 5) Form of “Bersehati” market is an oligopoly, where retailers play an important role in the determination of the market price of fish. Keywords: tuna, descriptive, prices, fluctuations   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui penyebab terjadinya fluktuasi harga ikan cakalang dipasar bersehati. Pentingnya peranan pemasaran sebagai kunci keberhasilan pencapaian tujuan dan sasaran pembangunan perikanan, maka dirasakan perlu untuk mengadakan penelitian sehubungan dengan bidang pemasaran, serta dengan melihat adanya fluktuasi harga dalam pemasaran, maka penelititan ini lebih difokuskan pada fluktuasi harga ikan yang dilaksanakan di pasar Bersehati Kota Manado. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan dalam praktek kerja lapang ini adalah metode studi kasus, yaitu suatu penyelidikan intensif tentang seseorang atau individu, juga suatu unit sosial. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Analisis deskriptif yaitu analisis dengan memberikan gambaran serta keterangan dengan menggunakan kalimat penulis sendiri, secara sistematis dan mudah dimengerti sesuai dengan data yang telah diperoleh. Selanjutnya diinterpretasi untuk memberikan bahasan atau kajian terhadap data.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat ditarik beberapa kesimpulan sebagai berikut : 1) Fluktuasi harga ikan di Pasar Bersehati disebabkan oleh adanya variasi jumlah dan jenis ikan yang ditawarkan ; 2) Dari segi penawaran, fluktuasi harga ikan cakalang yang terjadi di Pasar Bersehati Manado disebabkan oleh pengaruh musim penangkapan, dan pengaruh teknologi ; 3) Dari segi permintaan, fluktuasi harga ikan cakalang disebabkan oleh pengaruh pendapatan konsumen, pengaruh harga barang lain, dan bentuk pasar ; 4) Harga ikan tinggi terjadi pada hari selasa dan sabtu ; danan 5) Bentuk pasar bersehati adalah oligopoli, dimana pedagang eceran memegang peranan penting dalam penetuan harga ikan yang dipasarkan. One of the important issues to study underground coal gasification (UCG) is the prediction of surface subsidence. Several parameters that influence these conditions are the thickness of cap rock, the physical and mechanical characteristics, the structure condition, the minerals composition of the rock, and external conditions. This study had been carried out simulation and modeling to determine the level of surface subsidence risk and the effect of high temperatures due to the activities. The modeling results show that the thickness of the rock above the UCG coal seam greatly affects the surface subsidence. The depth is more than 200 m and found that the SF value is 1.59 which indicates UCG reactor depth of ≥ 200 m is safe from the risk of subsidence. From the characteristic aspect of the cap rock, the claystone types which not contain kaolinite minerals are more prone to collapse than those of contain kaolinite minerals. From this models, the gasifier at 150 m depth was estimated that there will be a decline of -7.23 m, and the minimum subsidence is at 275 m about 0.1 m. The heat propagation modeling results show that at 50 m the temperature is estimated to be 213- 289°C, but if the thickness of the cap rock is > 200 m depth, the temperature is around 29-28°C.

For critical structures in the oil and gas refining, petrochemical and chemical industries, it is necessary to determine the value of mechanical characteristics. In the present paper we consider issues related to the determination of the mechanical characteristics of structural materials using compact samples. Basically, current values ​​of the mechanical properties of materials are determined by measuring hardness using existing empirical dependences that combine hardness values ​​with yield limit and tensile strength values. But such dependencies are not universal and require experimental verification. The need for compact samples application occurs during determination of the reasons of equipment failure, when the size of a fragment of broken down equipment does not allow producing standard samples for traditional testing performance. The application of empirical dependencies for determination of hardness mechanical characteristics is complicated by the fact that it is necessary to take into account the degree of the material degradation. This, in its turn, requires additional studies. The key issue in determining the accuracy of measurements on compact samples is the role of the surface in the formation of fracture focal points. The experiments were carried out on thin steel samples and the mechanical characteristics were determined on Instron 8801 dynamometer unit. It was shown that in case of increase of thickness of the samples that underwent tension testing, the fracture work varies according to the power law.
