A new type of energy-saving magnetic amplifier controlling current and voltage of inductive load has been designed. The energy-saving magnetic amplifier with two windings wrapped across one iron core column can change impedance of the main winding by means of PWM controlling AC excitation current. The energy-saving magnetic amplifier has not used a special adjustable DC voltage circuit, has overcome disadvantages of complicated manufacturing process for the traditional excitation amplifier.The application shows the energy-saving excitation amplifier can achieve stepless dimming for high pressure sodium lamp to good energy-saving effect. The use cost of excitation amplifier is lower as simple production process, so its promotional value is great.

Modern bamboo structural system is a new type of green sustainable building technology, conform with our country’s requirements of developing environment-protecting and energy-saving buildings. This paper presents a new lightweight, high-strength , earthquake-resistant and energy-saving system-steel-bamboo composite structural systems , and given the various structural elements of the composite structural systems of steel-bamboo production methods . This paper also gives the production methods of steel-bamboo composite elements. Steel-bamboo-structural system can per-fectly combine steel and bamboo to bear load together, and it have excellent mechanical properties and broad application prospects.

Ecological and environmental governance is vital to global sustainability. The role of energy saving in achieving CO2 emissions reductions is known to be important for environment protection . PPPs governance in DEG can be considered key to driving down traditional energy demand and hence CO2 emissions in the coming sustainable economy. Over the coming decade, Centralized Energy Generation (CEG) will decline relative to Distributed Energy Generation (DEG) such as solarphotovolatic, microturbines, fuel cells, combined heat and power and variety of renewable energy. This shift promises to improve power reliability, deliver cleaner power and avoid significant investments in transmission infrastructure. As an integrated hybrid governance system of sustainability, PPPs enjoys high efficiency of governance via collective efforts of multi-agents involved. In order to promote the governance quality of DEG, it is of importance to harness the advantages of integration of PPPs Governance in DEG project. This paper examined PPPs governance in order to improve efficiency of Distributed Energy Generation, it firstly briefly outlines the profile of PPPs, then illustrates the essentials of good PPPs governance in global DEG governance context. Finally, it draws the conclusion that how to ensure the efficiency of PPPs in collective governance of DEG projects.

This paper analyzed the results and the status of China's building energy efficiency, explored the new areas of building energy in future: the building industrialization. Moreover, some types of building industrialization and their advantages such as energy-saving, environmental protection, waste usage, economy, and higher industrialization were introduced. As long as some problems and deficiencies are overcome, building industrialization would promote the building energy efficiency to achieve “Four saving and Environment protection” enormously in China.

We explore an approach for efficient white light emission based on ZnSe:Mn nanoparticles without rare-earth and cadmium elements. This material opens up a new avenue for energy-saving, healthy, and environmentally benign lighting.

A quadruped robot named “Baby Elephant” with parallel legs has been developed. It is about 1 m tall, 1.2 m long and 0.5m wide. It weighs about 130 kg. Driven by a new type of hydraulic actuating system, the Baby Elephant is designed to work as a mechanical carrier. It can carry a payload no less than 50 kg. Operating outdoors using wireless remote control, the robot will be able to traverse uneven terrain applying walking and trotting gaits and can walk up and down 10 degree inclines. The Baby Elephant carries a lithium battery fixed at the belly to supply all the power. This paper describes the structure of the legs and the application of the energy saving mechanisms on the leg. Simulations and experiments are carried out to testify the efficiency of the spring system in terms of energy saving.
