In order to solve the sequencing problem of module redesign in the greening process of the CNC machine tool product family, a priority order recognition method based on fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) and grey relational analysis (GRA) was put forward. A hierarchical model of functional modules of the CNC machine tool product family was constructed, and the types of functional modules were divided. The generality coefficient of the functional modules was proposed to reflect the influence of the module types on the redesign priority order. A green performance evaluation indicator system for module instances of CNC machine tool product family was built, based on which a life cycle-oriented green performance priority order recognition method was established. FAHP and GRA was utilized to evaluate the green performance of module instances, and then the priority order of module redesign can be determined by the ratio of green performance evaluation value and generality coefficient. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed priority order recognition method was verified by a applied case of module green redesign sequencing of gantry machine tool product family. The application case showed that the proposed priority order recognition method based on FAHP and GRA provides a scientific basis for companies to carry out the greening improvement project of the gantry machine tool product family.

The arrangement form of beams in CNC gantry machine usually arranged in the upper and lower two rails, But in heavy cutting,Large overturning moment will reduce the rigidity and precision of the machine. Therefore, on basis of analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the conventional rail , a new composite rail structure is designed. Been put into use, sensitivity, rigidity, vibration force, load force and moment resisting capability of oriented machinery and deputy campaign on process equipment is greatly improved.

In order to calculate the crossbeam’s stress and deformation under the weight of gantry machine tool, and analyze whether the deformation meets the precision of design requirements. In this paper, we will use the finite element method to get the stress and deformation in different directions with finite element analysis software-ANSYS. The result shows that the maximum deformation is 14.3 microns which appeared in the middle part of the beam towards the gravity direction and the maximum stress is 4730000 Pa which appeared in the joint of pillar and beam.

Enhancing the accuracy of machine tool is a key goal of machine tool manufactures and users. To characterize the Quasi-static errors and then use software compensation is an important step for accuracy enhancement. The effectiveness of an error compensation scheme relies heavily on the error model. The model must be concise and roust which can be applied to any machine tool. The total Quasi-static errors within the workspace of a five-axis gantry machine tool is composed of geometric error, kinematic error, thermal error. This paper presents an error model which can be used for practical compensation scheme. Homogeneous transformation matrix, rigid body kinematic and small angle approximations are used in this paper for error modeling.

With the increasing of machine tool feed speed, a large quantity of friction heat is generated on the ball screw system and will cause the temperature rising and thermal deformation along the ball screw that reduces the machining accuracy. The heat accumulated and dissipated are calculated to load to the established model of the Y feed system on a gantry machine tool. The stable temperature field at thermal equilibrium and the unstable temperature field before thermal equilibrium or with the variation of thermal load are gotten. From thermal structure analysis, the thermal deformation is derived. The FEM model is verified by the experiments carried out under the same condition with the simulation.
