Due to the practicalness of physical education (PE) teaching, the computer-assisted instruction (CAI) in PE can deepen students’ understanding through vis-ual teaching methods. The purpose of this paper is to study the development and implementation of CAI system in PE. To this end, based on hardware such as campus network and internet, B/S/D three-layer system was adopted in this paper as the system architecture, and ASP.NET technology was used to realize system functions. The research results show that the system is divided into four parts: the teaching resource module, the online Q&A module, the coursework module and the exam module according to the system requirements analysis. Then, taking the system login, teacher module and system test module as examples, the system operation process was designed in detail to achieve its specific functions. This re-search enriches the theoretical and practical research results of CAI system in PE and promotes the reform of physical education teaching mode.

This study focused on the specific questions: Do significant differences exist in the preference for CAI between male and female students? Do significant differences exist in the preference for CAI between undergraduate and graduate students (academic status)? And does an interaction exist between gender and academic status? Seventy-six students ( N = 76) were randomly selected to answer the questionnaire. Analyses of variance (at the .05 level) showed graduate students favor CAI more than do undergraduate students, probably because they have jobs and need to study using CAI at a more convenient time and place. This result confirms the assumption that graduate students have more computer experiences. Since computer literacy increases as time passes, the chance of “give CAI a try” becomes higher. In technologically sophisticated societies of today, the option of mixing CAI and traditional lectures must be the key to the success of any institution of higher education.

Abstract:The use of computers in the field of medical education is common. Our purpose is to present a Computer-Assisted Instruction system which has been developed over ten years at the University of Compiegne and the University of Rennes Medical School. This system can be used to help the student to solve clinical cases by analyzing and critiquing their answers and by using a knowledge base which has been previously structured in a rule network. It is an intelligent Computer-Assisted Instruction system comprising an author module, a pedagogical module and a student module. The CAI system can be used as a simulation model for any type of diagnostic or therapeutic problem. In this paper we present the author and pedagogical module which have been built using our previous work on intelligent computer-assisted instruction systems.

In January of 1969 twelve terminal for computer-assisted instruction (CAI), each consisting of a key set and a television display (fig. 1), were installed in a small room in Washington Elementary School, Champaign, Illinois, as part of the Programmed Logic for Automatic Teaching Operation (PLATO) project at the University of lllinoi, Urbana. We wi hed to learn how the computer could but be used to supplement the arithmetic classroom. Therefore, we experimented widely in the types of lesson we wrote. Moreover, we involved children of all age and ability group available in the K-6 school, including the educable mentally handicapped (EMH).

In the field of sports, attaching importance to the work has been more and more widely in physical education teachers and coaches’ computer technology achieved in various industries. This paper tries to expound from the structure and characteristics of computer aided system and swimming teaching and training the special nature of the party. The feasibility of the computer aided system technology used in swimming teaching and training of computer aided system applying in the swimming teaching and training are discussed and analyzed.
