The need for integrated analysis poses a request for integration of computer models, paying extra attention to interfaces, data management and user interaction. Sector wide standardization using data dictionaries and data exchange formats can be a great help in streamlining data exchange. However, this type of standardization can have some drawbacks for a generic framework for model integration. Another concept, called Model Data Dictionary (MDD), has been developed as an alternative for proper data management. The concept is a variant on the federated database concept, a concept where local databases maintain their autonomy, while an interconnection database provides a link for sharing data. The MDD is based on a highly generic data model for geographic referenced objects, which if needed facilitates mapping of the sector wide data dictionary. External interfaces provide, in combination with a data format mapping component, a link to SQL-based data sources and model specific databases. A generic Object Data Editor (ODE), linked to the MDD, has been proposed for provision of a common data editing facility for mathematical models. A test version of the combined MDD/ODE-concept has shown the applicability for integration of all kinds of geographic object oriented mathematical models (both simulation and optimization).

AbstractBoth in developing and developed countries, farmers often do not protect themselves adequately, especially when applying agrochemicals that are dangerous for their health. The issue is relevant because insufficient protection is between the causes leading to intoxication of farmers and workers who handle these products. The literature suggests that both lack of training and information and low income may explain why, especially in developing countries, protective equipment is under-used. Using data from the Mekong Delta, this study addresses the issue of whether income and household wealth may help explaining the use of incomplete protections against pesticides. The results suggest that income, more than wealth, is a reason why Vietnamese farmers operating in the Mekong Delta fail in using adequate protections. In particular, the data suggest that they may prefer to divert resources to increasing the production of their fields or to buying goods that may be used both as protection and as everyday garments. This behaviour leads to underinvestment in some important protective goods. Possible public interventions to mitigate the problem are suggested; in particular, the promotion of integrated pest management techniques could be useful.

AbstrakPokok masalah dalam Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang bagaimana tinjauan hukum Islam terhadap penerapan system wakaf polis menurut fatwa No. 106 DSN-MUI/X/2016 di PT. Prudential Life Assurance Agency Prucahaya Makassar. AbstractThe main problem in this research is reviewing how the review of Islamic law against the managementof the policy waqf system according to fatwaNo. 106 DSN-MUI/X/2016 in PT. Prudential Life Assurance Agency Prucahaya Makassar. This type of research is field research usingqualitativemethods which are carried out with normative theological, sociological and phenomenological approaches with data sources from PT. Prudential Life Assurance Agency Pruchaya Makassar,, then the method of data collection carried out is observation, interview, documentation and literature studies, then data management techniques are carried out through several stages including: data reduction, data management and data validity testing The results of this study show that how the implementation of the policy waqf system in PT. Prudential Life Assurance Agency Prucahaya Makassar there are several elements related to its idalam, namely, the suitability of fatwa rules against the implementation of Sharia Prudential companies that cooperate with waqf institutions in managing funds that are pledged. Conformity of waqf pledge form statement in Prudential Syariah maximum limit in accordance with the provisions of the fatwa on the waqf benefit of 45% and the waqf benefit of 1/3 of the overall wealth or tirkah and the suitability of sharia principles in the waqf contract used in the policy contract using tabarru agreement and using akag wakalah bil ujrah some of the benefits can be wakafkan. In this case the system wakaf polis as one of the products of unique sharia links in PT. Prudential Life Assurance Agency Prucahaya Makassar has been in accordance with Islamic law reviewed from fatwa No. 106 DSN-MUI/X/2016 on the endowment of insurance benefits and investment benefits.''Keywords: Fatwa, Islamic Law, Waqf System.

AbstractDuring the past century, the amount of information about homeopathic medicines has grown dramatically. However, the recent coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic has shown that homeopathic practitioners do not use more medicines than a century ago and they seem to use less symptoms to find the proper medicine. This could be explained by the fact that the more than a hundred years old repertory was flawed from the beginning and that more information in the repertory leads the practitioner astray in an increasingly complex labyrinth of data. This can be resolved by applying modern data management techniques based on systematic collection of treatment data and statistical analysis of the data. Homeopathic practitioners should collect these data avoiding bias. This requires additional training of practitioners, which should also result in a higher scientific level of homeopathic practice and increasingly effective treatment as the database grows.

Research and publication is considered an authenticated certificate of innovative work done by researchers in various fields. In research, new scientific results may be assessed, corrected, and further built up by the scientific neighborhood only if they are available in published form. Guidelines on accountable research and publication are currently set to encourage and promote high ethical standards in the conduct of research and in biomedical publications. They address various aspects of the research and publishing including duties of editors and authorship determination. The chapter presents research and publication system using big data analytics and research data management techniques with a background of information systems and need of information in research data management.

This chapter illustrates the use of data mining as a computational intelligence methodology for forecasting data management needs. Specifically, this chapter discusses the use of data mining with multidimensional databases for determining data management needs for the selected biotechnology data of forest cover data (63,377 rows and 54 attributes) and human lung cancer data set (12,600 rows of transcript sequences and 156 columns of gene types). The data mining is performed using four selected software of SAS® Enterprise MinerTM, Megaputer PolyAnalyst® 5.0, NeuralWare Predict®, and Bio- Discovery GeneSight®. The analysis and results will be used to enhance the intelligence capabilities of biotechnology research by improving data visualization and forecasting for organizations. The tools and techniques discussed here can be representative of those applicable in a typical manufacturing and production environment. Screen shots of each of the four selected software are presented, as are conclusions and future directions.
