Fabrication And Characterization

In this paper, ZnO nanorods were grown by wet chemical method on p-Si (100) substrate to form n-ZnO nanorods/p-Si (100) heterojunction. The optical, electrical, structural properties of n-ZnO nanorods/p-Si(100) heterojunction were analyzed by the photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy, [Formula: see text]–[Formula: see text] measurement, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM), respectively. The room temperature PL spectra reveal the good optical property of the heterojunction with strong UV peak at 385[Formula: see text]nm. The ZnO nanorods were vertically well-aligned on p-Si (100) and had an average height of about 1.6[Formula: see text][Formula: see text]m. The n-ZnO nanorods/p-Si (100) heterojunction also exhibits diode-like-rectifying-behavior.

We made the ZnO nanorods using wet chemical method. it is so simple, economic and suitable for large-scale production, the quality of the arrayed ZnO nanorods fabricated using these methods are not as good as that of nanorods prepared via VLD, CVDand ED method. We demonstrate that the concentration of precursors have influence on the morphology and optical properties, growth density and its distribution of the arrayed ZnO nanorods can be effectively controlled by using suitable conditions. We tried to study suitable ZnO nanorods growth condition to apply to a organic-inorganic hybrid solar cell, and we made the solar cell and investigated the energy conversion efficiency etc.

We adopted a wet-chemical method to deposit a TiO2 passivation layer on ZnO nanorods, and demonstrated drastically improved photovoltaic performance and device stability of ZnO nanorods based perovskite solar cells.
