The sexuality of Solenostoma species is discussed and it is concluded that Solenostoma sanguinolentum is heteroicous. This and other morphological differences from Solenostoma marcescens are discussed and they are considered to belong to the same species. Heteroicity probably also occurs in Solenostoma micranthum and possibly in other Solenostoma species. Solenostoma rossicum and Solenostoma pyriflorum subsp. purpureum are new synonyms to Solenostoma sphaerocarpum. Solenostoma ochotense is a new synonym to Solenostoma hokkaidense. Solenostoma costaricanum is a new synonym to Solenostoma amoenum. Plectocolea subbalfourii is a new synonym to Solenostoma balfourii. Solenostoma rubrum var. underwoodii is a new synonym to Solenostoma rubrum. Plectocolea yunnanensis is a new synonym to Solenostoma sikkimense. Solenostoma inundatum var. grandirete is a new synonym to Solenostoma orbiculatum. Solenostoma kurilense and Solenostoma ovalifolia are new combinations and Solenostoma philippinense a new species.

Based on field observation and extensive herbarium studies, a comprehensive taxonomic revision of the genus Pogostemon in China was carried out. Twenty-seven species and two varieties are recognized, among of which eleven species and one variety are endemic to China. A new species, P. henanensis, is described and illustrated. Two new combinations, P. glaber var. tsingpingensis and P. latifolius, are proposed. Six names are reduced to synonymy, eleven names are lectotypified and a name is neotypified. The record of P. menthoides in China is corrected as P. fraternus. One species, P. pressii, is listed as dubious species in China. In addition, nomenclature, descriptions and distribution maps of each species and variety as well as a key to Chinese Pogostemon taxa are presented.

Abstract—A synopsis of Dicliptera (Acanthaceae) for Brazil is presented. Six species are recognized: Dicliptera ciliaris, D. sexangularis, and D. squarrosa, widely distributed in South America; D. purpurascens, which ranges from the North Region of Brazil (in the state of Acre) to eastern Bolivia; D. gracilirama, a new species from the Atlantic Forest of northeastern Brazil; and D. granchaquenha, a new species recorded in dry and semideciduous forests in Bolivia and western Brazil, in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. Furthermore, we propose new synonyms and designate lectotypes for eleven names. An identification key to the six accepted Dicliptera species in Brazil is provided.

A new Tardigrada species, Claxtonia goni sp. nov. is described from specimens collected in the central area of the Haleakalā National Park, the island of Maui, Hawaii, U.S.A. The new species and Clx. pardalis (Degma & Schill, 2015) together with several examples of Clx. wendti (Richters, 1903) are the only known Claxtonia species with the plates having an intracuticular pattern resembling that on a leopard’s fur. Claxtonia goni sp. nov. differs from Clx. pardalis in the absence of pores on leg plates, in smaller and uniform pores on dorso-lateral plates, in very unequally spaced teeth in the dentate collar, in lesser ratio of internal cephalic cirrus and lateral cirrus A lengths, and in relatively shorter claws in fourth pair of legs. The differences between the new species and the other congeners as well as Echiniscus species with the same cirri composition and similar cuticular sculpture are also defined. The diagnosis of the genus Claxtonia is amended and three Echiniscus species are transferred into the genus with the proposed new combinations: Claxtonia aliquantilla (Grigarick, Schuster & Nelson, 1983) comb. nov., Clx. mosaica (Grigarick, Schuster & Nelson, 1983) comb. nov. and Clx. nigripustula (Horning, Schuster & Grigarick, 1978) comb. nov..

In preparation for a general account of the Notodontidae of Trinidad and Tobago, the following taxonomic acts are required. Apella [sic] ovalis Rothschild, 1917 (Notodontidae) is transferred to the combination Lephana ovalis (Rothschild) comb. nov. (Erebidae, Anobinae). Crinodes insularis Rothschild, 1917 stat. nov. is removed from synonymy with C. fuscipennis Rothschild, 1917. Oligocentria brunnipennis Kaye, 1923 stat rev. is reinstated as a valid species. The following are new synonyms: Anoba suffusa Hampson, 1924 syn. nov. of Lephana muffula Guenée, 1852 (Erebidae, Anobinae); Farigia xenopithia Druce, 1911 syn. nov. of F. magniplaga Schaus, 1905; Oligocentria guianensis Thiaucourt, 2015 syn. nov. of Oligocentria brunnipennis Kaye, 1923; Skaphita aroensis (Schaus, 1901) and S. sexnotata (Kaye, 1925) syn. nov. of S. cubana (Grote, 1865). The holotype of S. kalodonta (Kaye, 1923) is recognised. Skaphita indirae sp. nov. is described from Trinidad.
