Bu makalede 1995 yılından beri Science Citation Index (SCI) ve Chemical Abstracts tarafından indekslenen Turkish Journal of Chemistry (TJC) bibliyometrik açıdan ele alınarak, bu dergide 1995-2007 yılları arasında yayınlanan 861 makale incelenmiştir. Araştırmada cevap aranan sorular şunlardır: TJC’de en verimli yazarlar kimlerdir ve yazarlar arasındaki ilişki durumu nedir? TJC’de çok yazarlılık durumu nedir? TJC’ye katkıda bulunan yazarların kurumları nelerdir? TJC’de yayınlanan makaleler Bradford, Lotka, Price Yasası ve 80/20 Kuralı’na uymakta mıdır? TJC’de yazarların atıf yaptıkları kaynak türleri nelerdir? En sık atıf yapılan dergiler hangileridir? Yapılan atıflar gözönüne alıdığında Kimya alanındaki çekirdek dergiler hangileridir? TJC’de yayınlanan makalelerin aldıkları ortalama atıf sayısı nedir ve atıflarda yıllara göre bir artış söz konusu mudur? Journal Citation Reports (JCR)’da ve SCI’de TJC’nin yeri nedir? Yazarlara ve kurumlara özgü tekil sonuçlar, makalede açıklanmıştır. Diğer taraftan yazarların durumu, Price ve Lotka Yasası ve 80/20 Kuralı’na uymamaktadır., Öte yandan, TJC’de yapılan atıfların Bradford Yasası’na ve 80/20 Kuralı’na uyduğu saptanmıştır. Yazarlar ağ analizi ile incelendiğinde ise, beş ve daha fazla makale ile katkıda bulunan yazarların iki ayrı etkileşimli grup oluşturduğu saptanmıştır. TJC’ye yapılan atıflar 1996 yılından beri istikrarlı bir atış göstermektedir.

Bilim insanlarının kendi alanlarındaki gelişmeleri izlemeleri kadar, yapmış oldukları araştırmaları diğer araştırmacılarla paylaşmaları da önemlidir. Uzun zaman alan ve yoğun emek ürünü olan bilimsel çalışmaların sonuçlarmı, bilim insanları ile paylaşmak ve kalıcılığını sağlamak açısından en doğru yol uluslararası kabul gören seçkin dergilerde yayınlamaktır. Bu çalışmada; 2000-2004 yılları arasındaki 5 yıllık süreçte, ülkemizdeki adli tıp uzman ve asistanlarının katkılarıyla yapılan uluslararası yayınları TUBITAK-Uluslararası Bilimsel Yayınları Teşvik Programı ölçütlerine göre değerlendirmek ve bu yayınların Türkiye adresli Science Citation Index - Journal Citation Reports kapsamındaki yayınlara katkısını araştırmak amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla, “Pubmed” ve “Web of Science” veri tabanlarından yararlanılmıştır. 01.01.2000 - 31.12.2004 tarihleri arasındaki 5 yıllık sürede, Web of Science veri tabanı kapsamındaki dergilerde, yazarları içinde ülkemizden adli tıp alanında çalışanların bulunduğu toplam 86 yayın yapılmıştır. Türkiye kaynaklı tüm yayınlara olan katkı oranı, son iki yılda binde 1.1’den binde 2.3’e yükselmiştir. Yayınların 70’inin (%81.4) tam makale, 15’inin (%17.4) tam makale dışı olduğu saptanmıştır. TÜBİTAK-Uluslararası Bilimsel Yayınları Teşvik Programı ölçütlerine göre, yayınların 3’ü (%3.5) A Grubu, 54’ü (%62.8) B Grubu, 23’ü (%26.7) C Grubu dergi listelerinde yer almaktadır. Yazar sayısı 4 ve daha fazla olan yayınlar, toplam yayınların %79.1’i oluşturmaktadır. Forensic Science International, 24 (%27.9) yayınla en fazla yayının yapıldığı dergi olup adli tıp alanındaki dergilerde (Forensic Science International, American Journal of Forensic Medicine and Pathology, Journal of Forensic Sciences, International Journal of Legal Medicine) yapılan yaymlar toplam yayınların %39.5’ini oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın, adli tıp alanmdaki uluslararası yayınların geliştirilmesine katkıda bulunacağı düşünülmüştür.Anahtar kelimeler: Adli tıp, Science Citation Index, Türkiye

Abstract Purpose The purpose of this study is to modernize previous work on science overlay maps by updating the underlying citation matrix, generating new clusters of scientific disciplines, enhancing visualizations, and providing more accessible means for analysts to generate their own maps. Design/methodology/approach We use the combined set of 2015 Journal Citation Reports for the Science Citation Index (n of journals = 8,778) and the Social Sciences Citation Index (n = 3,212) for a total of 11,365 journals. The set of Web of Science Categories in the Science Citation Index and the Social Sciences Citation Index increased from 224 in 2010 to 227 in 2015. Using dedicated software, a matrix of 227 × 227 cells is generated on the basis of whole-number citation counting. We normalize this matrix using the cosine function. We first develop the citing-side, cosine-normalized map using 2015 data and VOSviewer visualization with default parameter values. A routine for making overlays on the basis of the map (“wc15.exe”) is available at http://www.leydesdorff.net/wc15/index.htm. Findings Findings appear in the form of visuals throughout the manuscript. In Figures 1–9 we provide basemaps of science and science overlay maps for a number of companies, universities, and technologies. Research limitations As Web of Science Categories change and/or are updated so is the need to update the routine we provide. Also, to apply the routine we provide users need access to the Web of Science. Practical implications Visualization of science overlay maps is now more accurate and true to the 2015 Journal Citation Reports than was the case with the previous version of the routine advanced in our paper. Originality/value The routine we advance allows users to visualize science overlay maps in VOSviewer using data from more recent Journal Citation Reports.

En este estudio bibliométrico se pretende dar a conocer la producción y el impacto de la actividad científica de la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha en el campo de la química durante el período 2000-2005. Para ello se han estudiado los trabajos publicados en revistas indizadas en las bases de datos Science Citation Index y Journal Citation Reports, especialmente adecuadas para su utilización en los estudios bibliométricos por indizar las revistas más representativas de la actividad científica internacional. Los resultados permitirán conocer y comparar la evolución de la producción de los departamentos, así como estudiar aspectos relacionados con la colaboración científica, entre autores y también entre instituciones, tanto a nivel nacional como internacional. Para conocer la visibilidad de la investigación se recurrirá al factor de impacto de las revistas en que publican los investigadores de estos departamentos, lo que permitirá conocer en cierto modo la calidad de las revistas según su interés científico.

Background: We identified and analyzed the characteristics ofthe 100 most frequently cited articles published between 1965and 2007 in journals pertaining to urology and related fields.Methods: We selected 69 of the highest impact urology and subspecialtyjournals and 22 of the highest impact general medicaland medical research journals from the 2006 edition of JournalCitation Reports: Science edition. We identified the 100 mostfrequently cited urological articles published in these 91 journalsusing the Science Citation Index Expanded (1965–present).We reviewed and analyzed the articles.Results: The top 100 articles were cited a mean of 629 times(range 418–1435) and published between 1965 and 2003,with 89% published after 1979 and 54% published in the1990s. Fifteen journals were represented, led by The NewEngland Journal of Medicine (30), The Journal of Urology (22)and Lancet (11). Ninety publications originated from NorthAmerica (81) or the United Kingdom (9). Johns Hopkins University(13), Harvard University (5), Stanford University (5) andUniversity of California, Los Angeles (5) published the most articles.Five ur ol ogists were first authors of 2 or more of the articles.Fifty-six articles reported observational studies. Oncology(51) and transplantation (20) were the most commonly representedurological subfields.Conclusion: These top-cited articles in urology identify topics andauthors that contributed to major advances in urology. Observationalstudies and randomized controlled trials in oncology publishedin high-impact urological or medical journals constitutethe most common type of highly cited publications.Renseignements généraux : Nous avons dégagé et analysé les caractéristiquesdes 100 articles les plus souvent cités publiés dansdes périodiques spécialisés en urologie et dans les domaines connexesentre 1965 et 2007.Méthodologie : Soixante-neuf des périodiques les plus influents enurologie et dans les domaines connexes et 22 des périodiques lesplus influents en médecine générale et en recherche médicale ontété choisis à partir du Journal Citation Reports: Science Edition de2006. Les 100 articles les plus souvent cités dans le domaine del’urologie ayant paru dans ces 91 périodiques ont été dégagés àpartir du Science Citation Index Expanded (de 1965 à aujourd’hui).Les articles ont été passés en revue et analysés.Résultats : Les 100 principaux articles ont été cités en moyenne629 fois (écart : 418 à 1435) et publiés entre 1965 et 2003; 89 %ont été publiés après 1979 et 54 %, dans les années 90. Les études observationnelleset les études contrôlées avec randomisation publiéesdans les périodiques influents traitant d’urologie ou de médecinegénérale constituent le type le plus fréquemment observé parmiles articles les plus souvent cités.
