Hypospadias in dogs is a rare pathology in the veterinary practice. The manifestation of hypospadias in dogs is diverse, since there is a varying degree of damage to the urogenital apparatus. The owners of a Sheltie puppy at the age of 3 days came to the clinic due to the difficulty of determining sex, the presence of inflammation of the anus and abdominal skin, defecation and urination violations. Clinical examination of the puppy showed a blind-closed preputial sac, absence of the ventral wall of the prepuce and an open urogenital urine trough was located in its place in the abdominal wall area. On examination of the puppy at the age of 28 days, hyperaemia and swelling of the anus were noted, as well as prolapse of the rectum. Findings of the examination at the age of 4 months consisted of drying of the mucous part of the open urogenital canal chute and accumulation of pus in the underdeveloped preputial sac. Bilateral cryptorchidism and the absence of the scrotum were also found out. A decision on the surgical treatment was made. The anus and the opening of the urethra were separated to form a urethrostomy in the scrotum and restore the integrity of the anus. On the 5th post operative day, oedema and stricture of the reconstructed urethra resulted in difficulty urinating, followed by the formation of urinary fistula in the perineal region below the anus opening. As a result of the chosen surgical treatment approach, the problem with contact dermatitis of the perineum and pollakiuria was solved.

The lower labial frenum attached to the free gingival margin can promote local tension, resulting in tissue ischemia, promoting the development of gingival recession, as well as complicating oral hygiene, resulting in a local biofilm accumulation and chronic inflammation. In such cases, periodontal surgery is recommended and the local anatomic characteristics will be improved as early as school age. In this case report,a 7 years old patient had the lower labial frenum repositioned. After this procedure, the suture of the mucosa to the periosteum was performed around the surgical wound to provide local healing by secondary intention. This case report suggests that early diagnosis and surgical treatment of the lower labial frenum in school age children is fundamental in eliminating etiological factors, reestablishing normal anatomic characteristics and preventing periodontal diseases.

Due to the rarity of phyllodes breast tumors (particularly malignant tumors), a limited number of described cases and a lack of randomized studies, we currently do not have absolute guidelines for treating these types of tumors. The following article presents the case of a patient with a malignant phyllodes breast tumor, with numerous local recurrences after primary mastectomy and the effects of treatment. The course of the patient’s disease emphasizes the purposefulness and effectiveness of aggressive surgical treatment. In the article, the authors show that leaving even small abnormalities within the scar just to observation is not good practice; surgeons should try to remove all, even unclear, abnormalities.

Prosthetic rehabilitation in patients having prominent labial ridge with conventional complete denture is an uphill task. Severe labial ridge undercuts are commonly seen incompletely edentulous maxilla than in mandible. This may be attributed to the fact related to the proclined maxillary anteriors, indicated for extraction. Treatment approaches generally involve either a surgical or a non-surgical option. The non-surgical or the prosthetic option generally involves the fabrication of conventional complete denture, which may further compromise the esthetics due to excessive thickness of the labial flange. To challenge such situations, an unconventional approach is needed for fabricating a complete denture. This case report delineates a simple, economical, conservative and non-surgical treatment approach for fabrication of denture in a patient with excessive bulky maxillary ridge, to pronounce the final facial aesthetics of the patient.

Cavernous hemangiomas are benign tumours of mesodermal origin. Even though various localizations of hemangioma have been described in the literature, its occurrence in the greater omentum is very rare. Only symptomatic hemangiomas are indicated for surgical treatment. There are case reports presenting resection or surgical removal of the greater omentum with hemangioma because of mechanical syndrome, consumption coagulopathy, bleeding, infection or suspicion of a malignancy. This article presents a case report of a patient operated on for a suspicion of carcinomatosis of the greater omentum. Histological examination found hemangiomatosis in the resected greater omentum.
